I don't know if you can do it on photoshop but what they do is basically replacing the wavelengths that humans can't see with visual wavelengths. For example infra red wavelengths are turned into visible red, x-rays into violet, gamma rays into blue etc. This is done to give the human eye the visual information it would otherwise not see.

Evolution is the cause of these wonderful creatures that you talk about. If there is a creator, then this being created the SYSTEM that controls the universe that we are the participants within. As far as a system that is "perfectly balanced", there are many aspects of our own body as humans that are quite flawed. However these "flaws" in creature "design" are one of the factors within the mechanisms that drive evolution and create new species.

It launched a little over a week ago. (March 6th, 2009) It's been powered up over the last few days and it's photometer now being calibrated for a couple weeks.

I didn't even know about Kepler until I saw your question. Google is your friend. ;)

Yeah dude, for me it was really frustrating watching the hunt for life in other solar systems over the last however many years take place in such a limited capacity.

The fact that we could only really detect planets in other solar systems that were around Jupiter size or bigger was always really frustrating because those planets would be far less likely to contain life or even be found within the habitable zone.

Kepler is such a gigantic step forward it's not even funny. I love it.

Im interested in science and im a "Youngster" :P, but sadly my science teacher is a religous fucking teacher (...Wtf?!) and hes trying to fail me, which is sad, because i love/pretty knowledgable about science, and i cannot switch to physics or chemistry, because 3 months left of school... :/

Be proactive about it. If you truly want to learn properly, I would either talk to the school board or request a different teacher if the teacher is truly teaching incorrectly. I have no issue with my tax dollars going to kids learning, but I would like it to be done properly and without proactive people speaking out first hand, we never really know what problems there are. You are entitled to a proper education, fight for it.

That's what the Kepler telescope was launched for, it will study 100,000 stars over the next 3 years. It will likely take until the end of that time to get any solid results though. I'm surprised it wasn't even mentioned in this clip even though it wasn't launched when it was made I think they should have mentioned Kepler.
