  • @zygiszel trzeba przeanalizowac process podawania papieru (nacisniecia czujnika) dokladmosc nacisniecia czujnika to 1mm. kazde dotkniecie go podaje blad druku... w chwili obecnej pracuje z kolega na zastapienie czujnika swoim wlasnym i podanie wlasnego sygnalu do drukarki o pozycji papieru. w drozszych drukarkach wystarczy ustawic papier na podawanie z rolki i druk ciagly.

  • @vanwaestel where did you find the 'head' OF THAT PRINTER,i wanna built one like this! You built it by yourself right??!

  • "rubbish witch;" you made your t-shirt printer out of a witch? Did you keep her broom stick?

  • @James0roll1 yes! already sold 4 printers and the magic broom stick comes free! do you need one?

  • @vanwaestel how much realy

  • @James0roll1 Did you just learn to spell?

  • @Mayochapstick Excuse me...?

  • @James0roll1 You're most certainly excused.

  • @Mayochapstick .. Okay? .. Let me; explain what my words in the context used meant.. It means I am asking you why you said what you said, because it made no sense, and I would like to know what you meant so I can... answer you...

  • @James0roll1 Not sure where's the confusion. I wrote my response in proper English and correct form/structure. You asked the Video poster that he hasn't answered how he made this DTG printer. My response answered you inquiry. He hasn't answered anyone's questions because he doesn't wish to share his plans. Not everything is OpenSource, don't expect something for nothing. I'm sure for some compensation he'll gladly help you out. I don't share my Epson WorkForce 1100 modified DTG design either

  • @Mayochapstick What? I just was joking about how he used the incorrect word, "witch". And I don't know what irrelevant rubbish you just posted is, mainly I don't feel like figuring out what you're talking about.. Anyways, good luck to you and your, Epson or whatever, not sure how that is relevant to what you where yelling me at, but whatever floats your boat kid.

  • @James0roll1 derp derp dumb dumb derp

  • @hwangstet5k Repetitive much?

  • OMG that is so sick, yes yes please write a manual i am talking to anajet right now about to buy one of their overpriced printers

  • i love your idea van, i hope you can share your ideas with me....

  • Sorry asshole. You think it is that great to watch a fricking vid on somebody printing something with no voice, no nothing. YOU BIG TURD!

  • what's the price??

     :)

  • u can respond, and talk about it by emailing me @ harshsingla450@gmail.com

  • Kurva, ja milujem poliakov, ti vymyslia vsetko!!!! DIY!!!! :)

  • @vanwaestel what a cool T-shirt printing machine. Maybe you could try to patent it as an original idea. You have a great inventive mind. Keep up the good work.

  • Kurde Polacy jednak są górą we wszystkim ;D

  • how knows that i could at home make my self shirt printer exactly like this please help...what i for i need for this... please help

  • Hi van Weastel, I have decided to put myself to the challenge and to purchase a Epson A3+ printer and start working with that right away, it is a risk but if it works out ok will be fantastic :) Cant thank you enough for the information you have given me regarding your pictures and about Anajet etc. etc. I'll let you know in time, you'll see whenever I post a video of my own project, I wont forget, hope yours will be a succesfully and capable DTG device :)) Best regards

  • @rayheyheyhey you welcome!

  • @vanwaestel Great man! I just bought a new Workforce 1100 this afternoon, going for (cheap) gold and found a parts scheme for the 1100, have also had a great help from another dtg builder, man I love this stuff :))

  • @rayheyheyhey i will do 1100 next- good luck!

  • @vanwaestel Thanks man! Same to you, you have much more experience with this so you will do fine with the 1100 I'm sure, like your new design by the way, I really like acrylic glass, nice to work with :))

  • @rayheyheyhey much better than wood. new design is a testing project. i found somebody who will cut all parts for me. check out facebook page for screenshot from cad program. once it is done i will try to write some sort of manual for building it

  • @vanwaestel Very nice those CAD's, much more precise than any other method of cutting, it will add to the quality of the endproduct for sure. I'm about to start on a design partly made up from wood and partly acrylic glass, I really like the feature of instantly welding/gluing it together with a glue-gun. I'll come back and will show it to you once I have a working prototype and thanks allready for sharing the manual!

  • @rayheyheyhey my advice is to use screws where you can. printer will have a lot of holes, but it is much easier to replace parts later on. do not expect that your first printer will look nice :) the proper manual will follow soon, but not yet!

  • @vanwaestel Thanks once again for the advice on the screws, one part will be made out of wood and the top-part out of acrylic glass. I have been reading everything related on the t-shirt forum and will start the build this week allready, great challenge, hope it all goes to plan!

  • lol... looks like a shirt from this kid at my school doing "Grubas Apparel"

  • Comment removed

  • @rayheyheyhey you can use either S20, S21 or S22 printer :) it is much better to use A3 printer... but any A4 printer can be rebuilt into DTG/Flatbed. Why you say it cant be S21? BTW It is printing in photo mode, to have the best quality- is it the slowest mode for printing? See pictures on FB for more info. New printer is coming ;) And yes, it is still A4!

  • Comment removed

  • @rayheyheyhey it looks wider because it is "naked" no body. in the new printer the carriage is reduced to minimum... only motor + axle :) no need for rest parts. i will make a pictures with S22 printer next to it, so you can compare them.

  • @vanwaestel It this is something an optical illusion and indeed it is just as wide as an S22 I'll gladly apologize to you but seeing is believing. Your printer is the first homemade DTG-printer I'll came across so I'm grateful for that but what I dont get is why you are showing it but dont give away the details about which brand/type ink and why you remain silent about "prepreparation" ? Do you want to make DTG printing your business and you dont want to spill the beans ? is that it ?

  • @rayheyheyhey in the UK it is really hard to get quality DTG ink for printer... Epson has blocked all importers. The only way to buy ink is to use "original" inks for priced printers like Anajet etc. At the moment I am still testing mechanical components of project. Once I am happy with prints I will look for Inks.

  • @rayheyheyhey Cheap China Inks are available in most online shops here, but they are priced about 10 times more than direct imports. I have two factories witch are happy to send me their Inks from China, but you need to order at least 5L of each colour + pretreatment = £3500 :) see Anajet videos about pretreatment... it is all there. I have about 3-4 email a week asking about plans :) Let me finish it first and I will share my work.

  • Please consider making an instructable for this. This is a fantastic idea that would give a lot of inspiration to the diyers

  • Jeezus mate! I'm just lookin for transfers hahaha! Nice work!

  • Mayne what you charge to make those?

  • 2) Several people have asked about some more details but you seem to reluctant to tell them/us the details, for instance how did you prepare ("pretreatment" ?) the tshirt before printing and with what substance ?

    3) Which ink did you use, what is "special inks", share the brand of ink (and exact type ?) with us perhaps ?

    4) How did you bypass its paper sensor in fooling it to print fabrics ? What did you modify about it ?

  • @rayheyheyhey i use geniue epson inks. i am buying big 220ml cartriges for Stylus Pro 7600, then open them... it cuts costs by 7 without reducing the quality :) and for any other inks... buy sample print with it and then go for big bottle!

  • @rayheyheyhey there is no modification to paper sensor. you have to take it out of paper feeder and place it at front of moving board with tee. it is matter of errors, as you have to do it with about 2mm margin. for this model it is about 7cm ahead. once board hits a sensor it will record it as beginning of sheet. be patient as it can take few tries before success!

  • @rayheyheyhey treatment is any polyester pretreatment. just google for it. spray it on tee about 1 day before printing. all done. no magic. or use 100% polyester tshirts then colours are much brighter when printed...

  • @vanwaestel I'll have to apologize to you, I'm sorry if I was rude in any way. Furthermore I'll have to thank you a great deal for sharing all this information with us after all, I'm sure others will be grateful to you as well for that. You have done some very hard work on a building plan which you dont have to give away for free. You have given a very nice bit of information allready and as said we are all grateful to you for it I'm sure, keep the rest of the beans to yourself and thanks again!

  • @rayheyheyhey you welcome! when we will see your printer? ;)

  • @vanwaestel Well, I hope it to be very soon but that entirely depends upon how succesful it wil be as if it works I'll show it to you with a smile on my face but if it doesnt there's not much use in showing you a wrecked up project :) And then there is the matter of time as well as I'm pretty busy working. Right now I have two options by the way, one Epson Stylus S20 and a HP deskjet 1560, I will show it if it is succesful.

  • @vanwaestel Great information as well, I never would have thought about a polyester priming solution, let alone searched for it. I'm about to build a first experimental DTG printer myself, I'll promise you if I'll ever run into some good inks or other good stuff I'll let you know though it could take a while as I'm very busy in this part of the year.

  • @rayheyheyhey Horse$#!%; Why would you be so concerned about his reluctance to give up an idea. Originality has a price, imo !! I'm sure there are many machine out there that can print 100 shirts an hour for no less than 10k, quoting a much earlier post but, anyways if you really interested on his work I would politely ask him on a private e-mail since is obvious you would profit from it, right ?

  • @rayheyheyhey now why on earth would he want to give away his secrets? so 1000 little noobs can copy his design without a single bit of effort on their part? figure it out yourself as he did, earn something for once in your life instead of having everything handed to you

  • Have to say this is an incredibly cool printermodification, so thanks a lot for sharing it with us, however there are some things I dont get about your comments.

    1) You say this is a Epson S21 but the printer in this video is clearly printing atleast A3 (or perhaps even A3+) while the S21 is a dedicated A4 printer. Can you elaborate on this, did you mod the carriage as well as the printerdriver software ?

  • hello, was wondering if you had the plans on how to build or if you have one for sale thank you.. eddielopez2485@yahoo.com email me please

  • CAN U TEACH ME HOW TO DO THIS OPERATION???EPSON S21 IS YOUR MODEL,IS TOO HARD IS'IT??HOW MANY TEE SPOIL BEFORE U SUCCESS???RESPECT!!!!

  • im having problems getting the tray to travel across

  • will u sell this

if so how much ill give u 500 for it

  • are you using the Kodak HD camera?

  • Thanks for the reply, could you link me what ink you buy so I can make sure to get the right sort? Also what kind of pretreatment do you do?

  • Does the ink run when washed? or did you have to buy special fabric ink?

  • @touchedbydog you have special pigment inks, the same price as normal inks. you do some pretreatment before printing. colour are fading by 10% after 1st wash, then they are staying pretty the same. it is depends on t0shirt you used & inks

  • @vanwaestel Hello. if you are selling the printer please email me. magictshirt77@gmail.com

    Thank you.

  • you think that I can make this on my Epson R240? there are online or you have some tutorial to make this operation on printers? thx

  • @BulldogMOMS i have no manual on making dtg printer.. any epson printer can be rebuilt into dtg, but the best are without sensors. i dont know R240. less sensors = less work

  • SICK!!!!! how many washes before print fades? Been wanting to print out shirts for the LONGEST!!!!

  • @LowNKum first wash takes about 10% off colours/britness and then you can have it as long as you get bored of design :)

  • @vanwaestel

DEFINITELY going to be doing this!!!!! MUCH props for build too

  • @LowNKum google it! i guess your 3rd printer will work perfectly.... if not i will help you to make one ;)

  • @vanwaestel

forgot to ask, do you have the build specs for this? if possible build insight (dos/dont's, tips on build?).

  • @LowNKum i am making one of clear acrylic plastic, so you can see how it is done. there is no "easy way" to build one...... long way, but can be done. i gave up when people asking me "how to dismount the printer?!?" if you can do this step by your own, you wont be able to make a working dtg printer, true?

  • @vanwaestel

I think I should be fine with taking the printer apart. I'm pretty good at that, the acrylic one OMG YOU HAVE TO DO THIS!!!!! I'm iffy on the palette part, how to make that as well as have it work in sync with the way the printer is (pretty much like how you have it).

  • @vanwaestel

I have been googling where to get the Epson S21 ... NOT easy to find here in the US :( A friend of mine has an Epson Stylus that he uses to print his CD/DVD's, that one has inks similar to the one your using, will have to do more research on this though before getting printers to go through with build.

  • @LowNKum S20, S21, S22 are the same :) Epson has the same inks in most printers. Nearly every can be rebuilt into DTG Printer.... but each has different way for doing it. For sure take one with CMYK colours first as they do not have to many sensors to work out. If you can find B1100 go for it. It will be my next project. Good luck!

  • @vanwaestel

I'm crossing my fingers right now to at least find one that is close to what you have. I think a lot of the newer models have all the sensors in them, lol, this is more work that I expected, but in the long run WELL WORTH IT. thanks for info, would have NEVER known about the sensors until I probably got any Epson and just took it apart lol. Most likely though, will be posting again in here if I run into any problems. :D

  • @vanwaestel

I have been researching for a while now and found some printers that are available here in the US (basically ones that I myself can get a hold of lol). How thick is the wood you used to make the bottom tray mod and did you make the garment palette out of wood also?

  • you need to come over my house and take apart my epson wide format printer.

  • How much this machine? Please reply me asap

  • Hi my name is jose I live I Appleton WI,

And I thinks what you make is awesome wondering I I can buy one from you

    Here is my email skullnet777@hotmail.com

And also here is my cell 920 268 9956.

  • I want to buy one plz email me at takera.bethea@gmail.com!

  • love it do you have any directions?

  • clever mother f*****r why could i be born with the a bility to rig this kind of stuff together truley jealous of your ability do you think it would be possible to do this to a epson r2880it cost me like 600 quid the printer so would be feeling the trust you think you could maybe adapt mine

  • @photos4ume it is long way... but can be done. i will do a3 printer very soon. i wont risk 600 plus other parts to do dtg printer. why wont you try a second hand printer for a few quid. do the "scrap" printer and understand how it works and then go for something big? there is a big issue with a flat bed for tshirts. once you put all together you will no what i mean :) and for sure- cheating the paper sensor is not a big deal!!!

  • this is ingenious man! I'd like to know how to make or get one

  • Hello Sir,

Thanks for your reply ,just inform me if your machine is ready for sale . I will wait for the new update .

  • if you have plan to sell your epson ...how much is it ...just email me at alex1616@gmail,com

  • HOLA QUE TINTA USAS COMO SE COMPRA TENGO UNA PERO LAS TINTAS NO SE COMO COMPRARLAS ES ALGUNA EN ESPECIAL

  • im so interested to the printer, can i know how much is the cost of it? Also i want to know if flat bed is included. Pls text me if u have available printer. 09495691488 (Alma). Thanks!

  • Super awesome dude!

  • @darkhunterso16 thanks bro!

  • When will this available for sale!

  • @rhashad88 i am making one at the moment. should be ready really soon. much better looking and smaller size!

  • @vanwaestel Let me know soon as! Message me when they're available for sale and all the kinks are worked out!

  • I would pay you £1000 to build me one :)

  • @DanReborn I am working at the moment on same printer but made in plastic/ acrylic. it will look much nicer :) once it ready i will sell it for £350... do not pay too much mate!

  • @vanwaestel i want it! lol. ill inbox you

  • how much did you pay for your printer? and where can i get one...

  • Nice job!, what kind of ink are you using?

  • how to cheat on the detector paper

  • @MrGabystrike there is no easy way to do it...

  • please how did you cheat on the detector of paper? MERCI

  • @MrGabystrike try different position from flat bed. it should be ahead at least 7cm and to set it, you will need at least 3mm precision...

  • GENIUS!!!!!! I G0TTA HAVE IT!

  • beast printer man so where can I get one of these inbox me!

  • cool but yes it will take a while huh but i like ill have to try it...

  • bet it take slike 45 minutes to setup one shirt to print tho eh?

  • @irishkendoll you need to spray pretreatment a day before. let it dry over the night and print. setting/printing/heat pressing takes no more than 10 minutes...

  • What if you replaced black ink with white.. and everything that you printed in black would come out white... would that work?

  • @1onymous in theory yes, but other colours are affected too. pure black will be printed as white only. any colour CMY will be printed good, any CMYK wont work (as K gives addition of black). you can use special software to override this or easier and more effective build two printers... one with white inks only and second with CMYK set. Making two printers is about £800, in this option you can print on any tshirt either black or white, yellow, green...

  • Do you sell it? If dont could you send me instruccions to build one with an epson t22? Ill pay you :-) thanks

  • @Destellos1900 there is no clear instructions how to do this. i make printers for sale. for simple A4 printer is £400 plus postage

  • Whats thus machine called?

  • Hey I am real impressed with this machine. I would like to start printing some t shirts. Please can I have the instructions to build the machine. email is onelove01@hotmail.co.uk.

    Thanks and bless

  • @nyahice it is not that easy to make one... otherwise there will be lots of them for sale :)

  • I need the specs on this one man you the truth

  • can you email me direction on build

  • Great little device you've got there.

What do you mean by heat press? What is needed to do that?

  • I could see someone using this to make some band t-shirts and pissing off A LOT of people.... (would totally do that)

  • please email me...i want to have like this one....will you help me? ej26sheila@yahoo.com.ph please pm me..... thanks....

  • I BET THIS IS ONLY GOOD FOR WHITE SHIRTS RIGHT?

  • @kiffixxx yes, you will need at least 5 inks printer, usually 6 inks are coming with A3 printer... on black tees, first you print white background and then colours at top of that. a bit of pain, as you need to master some not user friendly software (still free). then your printer will print 2x white and CMYK :) i may do this printer over the january

  • Zgaduję że jesteś Polakiem :)

Świetny pomysł, jakość jest niesamowita, kolejny plus, że drukuje bezpośrednio na koszulce,

  • renolereta3000@yahoo.com i need a printer for my business! my name is george

  • hey man! i need one for my business please e mail me at renolereta3000@

  • What kind of dtg ink do you use for this modified printer?Where do you get it from and how much do you pay for it(ink)?

Nice job with machine, thanks for answer.

  • Amazing results with this machine!!!!!!

  • i buy you one!!!

  • I'm guessing you live in UK..

  • That looks great man, is it hard to build?? Where would i get details on how to do this??

  • how much is this the printer? i'from argentina.

  • @swagstarclothingline in the UK

  • yes very creative

  • we accept printer flatbed converts, e mail me or log in to ur facebook acoount at YM chats, warren_g33@yahoo.com. TY

  • @G33warren hi sir, magkano po conversion nyo printer flatbeds..I'm really interested po..pls email me llo6368@yahoo.com

  • awesome bro...kindly email (yazididris77@yahoo.com) 2 me the diagram of your modification. Looking forward for your reply.

  • for all people sending me messages and asking for instructions how to do this printer. i do not have any... this printer is very small project. i may do another one soon. once i finished i will post an update on my youtube account. ta van

  • aweeeeeeesomeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, i need this but know nothing about how to do it ... hmm

  • how do i get one like this? i am really interested. do you have any directions? which software are you using?

  • @458user it runs on standard software. there is no need to install any other stuff. the only one bad thing about it is that you can print on white (or very light colours) t-shirts. because you cannot print white ink. you can only print CMYK inks.

  • @458user it is running on epson standard drivers and software... computer still "think" as it prints on a peace of paper :)

  • so sick i want 1 of that insane printer.. BTW how did you do that? make a tutorial on how to pimp that printer ^ ^

  • What’s the name of this machine and how much does it cost?
