I miss the old 96 Rock! It was never the same after Clearchannel bought the station. They really took the heart and soul out of it. 100.5 and "Project 961" are just pretenders. On their best day, they couldn't recapture the spirit of the old 96er!

A reminder of what good independent radio used to sound like.
Boston had 104.1 WBCN, rockin' Beantown since 1967.
Sometime in the 1990's it turned into Corporate Rock, along with every other station on the dial, whereupon I stopped listening to radio all-together.
Damn Shame.
