I've never seen such a technique. I only know the common cataract surgeries.

My 82 year old dad is getting this done next Wednesday.  We live in different countries. I don't know if it's necessary to leave the kids with relatives to travel & stay with him for a few days after the operation? Is he going to be in discomfort/ pain shortly after and need help?
