@Deerector thank you but I actually agree with them. As a puppy, his face wasnt short enough and looked like he wasnt going to get that scrunchy look. I actually wanted the longer look though. And I saved money because he wasnt "Show"material. He was "Companion" But as time went on, he filled out and is still filling out, and now he is Show Material. I know an AKC judge that says hes perfect! But thank for for the kind words.. I will upload a video of him that I shot a few weeks ago of him now.
im not trying to be a bitter man here but arnt the french mastiffs that hav the stuffy scrunched up nose more popular and more favourable? i mean your dogs is very cute but usually there noses are a scrunched up.
I used to feed my French Mastiff Purina Pro Plan and he (like our bull mastiff before him) had terrible ear infections. I forget what's in it (i think i recall someone saying corn starch?) that causes the ear infections. His ears always had this brown goo in them and they smelt awful. We switched to feeding him Solid Gold brand and his ears are completley clean now. Not sure if you're pup is having the same problems.

@sedod66 he was weighed at 130 about 5 weeks ago.. and its summer time so hes been eating less so while he is still growing he prolly hasnt gained any weight. Where did you get yours from? I got mine from Chicago. hes lots of fun.. Send me pix.. Ill send you a recent one of him too.

You pay more if you want a show quality dog. if you want just companion quality youll pay less... keep in mind that companions dont mean they wont look cute.. dont get that in your head. The breed has certain standards and if they don meet those they are considered companions... My dog is a companion, but my trainer is an AKC judge and he said my dog is show quality. So really anything goes... Buy whichever one you like.. Good luck and send pix

It's a shame the bigger breeds tend to have the most health problems, I love the mellow and gentle temperament of big dogs.

Does not really look like a dogue de bordeaux, his muzzle is too long. Looks like a stocky Hungarian Vizsla. Nice dog though.

females are 1100-1900, males are 1700-2500..
