Your video makes a valid point, that the "democracy" (an ambiguous term) has been ultimately, literally ultimately, corrupted. Historically, many of the large majority who opposed the colonies' being taken over by those who sat in the Houses of Burgesses and slaver general George Washington knew that ancient democracy was rule of a privileged, slave-owning class, the "demos".
