If it had a similar intonation to the original, in the sence that it keeps "precious thing" a little more together and not as separate as in this version, I would so dedicate it to someone... ^-^

Sure i'm a fan of Labyrinth, i'm another frustrated J/S together... I made my own comic called "yidneth" and I can't deny the goblin king was a great influence, despite being very different. But I honour the magic of my sources of inspiration. This movie and the dark crystal built me as a child in love with magic

I got both of my labyirnth and origina dark crystal comics in ebay, they are very old editions and very close to the movies. There are also anime comics as a sequel of labyrinth, I confess I haven't read it, i'll end up buying it because of freak collector but I didn't feel it was the right continuation for me.

The beginning is sexy, the middle is "cruel", and the end is full of pain.

If you read the book, they do have feelings for each other. But that couldnt be shown in the movie, because its a kids movie and its wrong for a 300 year old guy to be in love with a 16 year old girl.

thank you, i'm aware it has a bit weak points but I was playing it live :), I rehearsed it to perform it for Brian Froud, designer of the movie, he got ill but Toby and Wendy came and it was a special moment for me, I admit I play it better now though LOL.

Jareth was hurting in this point of the movie, wether there are so many theories that he was evil I believe he was in love, in a selfish spoiled way maybe, but in love!

Oh wow thats amazing. I'm a huge of of Brian Froud too, his art is so beautiful. Thats great that you were able to perform for his famliy. I love the way you sing this song so much because you put all the emotions that he felt in the movie into this. I believed that he did fall in love with her and this song shows how much it hurt him to have his love rejected. Well thats my opinion anyways lol, like you said, there are many theories about it.

thanks very much, actually i'll take that as compliment cos i have the probably of being too forceful most of the time and that's something I want to quit, as sometimes i'm just too soulful style, and doesn't fit with my actual genre which is new age music, and I intended to do it really soft, in fact is subdued by reverb and wrapped in the pad...

thank you, I really loved yours... I often play it too, but after watching your video i'll practise the piano part a bit more (LOL), this version is also a rather honest (with its weak points too) live approachment on keyboard too. For sure it can be polished a lot, still it's a very special theme for me.

I have the recording of the other vocals, actually I replayed it all as it's quite simple, sometimes it comes out slightly different, i wanted to use a better microphone and add the chimes at the end, maybe i'll reconsider to place back the old vocals which were also an entire take.
