i loooove the night opens! i'm so glad that they went from the mean sounding cut of the enforcer to this nicer one with a kinda bell sound at the beginning. very nice graphics too, octopus.

The camera used for the studio shots in these opens is a manually operated camera while the other two studio cameras are robotic.

Living in the NYC area, WCBS and CBS News in general are not know for their journalism and talents other than Katie Couric. Yes, the graphics are nice but the quality of journalism is horrible

I must agree and I'm even an employee with local! Things have never been the same since all those firings in the 80's. Not to mention firing Warner Wolf without ANY notice to him! He tried signing in one day and was denied into the building! And they wonder why they're always in last place!

The opens really do look cool.I went to a hotel near Newark Airport.I saw it in person on a analog TV though,but the open looks good.I saw the 11pm newscast,my fav one.

I love the CBS Enforcer when it is used like this...KTVT in Dallas has a more upbeat version, but I love this one....classic!

I don't think "The Enforcer: New Generation v2" will fit my CBS station in Richmond, VA (WTVR). They currently use NGv1 on their opens and special reports but uses the original Enforcer (I think they use Series 1 & 3) for bumpers and cuts.

WKMG in Orlando uses NGII for the main opens, NGI for the morning open/close, and original series for teasers, regular closes and promos.

Gari Communications posted the close on their site at GariComm[dot]com. At their site, mouse over "Music and Sounds" the navigation strip on the bottom, and click "News Music". Click on O&O News Packages, and click CBS Enforcer New Generation 2. It's real nice. (I hope someone can upload the close to YouTube).

My local CBS station in Dayton, OH has the Enforcer Generation 1 and they just went Widescreen. I hope they pick up the Generation 2 as well... It is a lot more relaxed. Very nice.
