Kyle Wright and Kirby Freeman were the EPITOME of ALL that was failure. Fortunately, we won the '07 game. Looking SO forward to the 09 season. I just wish our '08 D played against FSU like they did Florida.

And most of the time Miami was beating Nebraska to win those championships. FSU won't recover until Bowden retires. He's way past it and the FSU football program is now paying for it.

Wright was sacked 9 times. That is pathetic. I admit. But Drew and his backup played as if someone else was calling the plays and neglected to inform them. Wright is the better QB this year. However, FSU recruited much better this year, and may field the better team on the 4th of September. Miami needs to show up or risk loosing valuable recruits for many years to come.

I love it how cane fans lean on that wide right/left shit. All that means is that we could have easily beat you everyone of those times but instead we beat ourselves. The same goes for for Penn State last year. That doesn't make you good!!! That makes that one little scrub on our team shitty. It is not like any of those kicks were blocked, cause then you could take ownership of that. But whatever helps you sleep at night. Enjoy playing Louisville in 2 weeks.

A true football fan can appreciate good defense. None of the FSU/Miami games were ugly as there is more talent on the defensive side of the ball. Anyone who refers to games with both quarterbacks getting manhandled as "ugly" or "boring", well... they may just be related to Spurrier.

Whether the respective team boasted an 8-5 season or an 11-3 season, the truth still remains - the Hurricanes failed to deliver last year when they locked horns with the Noles. Blame the team's offensive line and special teams for the loss.

Pufay - Going to the championship and deserving to be there are two different things. As a result, the BCS changed their damn formula (adding points for 'head to head' wins) all BECAUSE a one-loss FSU went instead of a one-loss UM who beat them. Nice showing in that game, BTW -- 13-2. Y'all deserved to be there.

Has nothing to do with the 'eye of the beholder.' That was a crap game - as was the previous one where Miami won 16-10 OT. Miami lost five straight to Florida State and in '00 FSU camein ranked #1 and defending champs. The win streak was in the mid-twenties and it was a stellar football game. Miami up 17-0 at the half, falls behind 24-20 in the fourth. Dorsey rallies the troops, throws the game winner to Shockey and then FSU misses a game tying field goal. 27-24 Canes. Classic.

Not exactly fallen if you look at it from a certain perspective. Rather, returned to its average winning percentage. All schools experience this upsurge, as I'm sure you recall a Miami team with such success and more so the dynasty of Nebraska. What made FSU so brilliant was its accomplishment of ranking 4 and above in the polls for more than a decade - a feat that will, I'm sure, will never be repeated again. The team is still successful, but the problem lies in the fans.

Nah, they routinely lose four and five games now. And I'd say Nebraska's so-called dynasty has nothing on Miami's. Miami won 5 national championships in the past 25 years; Nebraska 3. And most of the time Miami was beating Nebraska to win those championships. FSU won't recover until Bowden retires. He's way past it and the FSU football program is now paying for it.

Don't get me wrong though; I live and die with every Saturday in the fall and I would love more than anything to see us take home another to add to Bobby's legacy, but the problem is FSU also an abbreviation for Fan Spoiled University, as some people have their heads up their asses and expect us to be in the national running year after year. There's my two cents; and now, I exit stage left to avoid the Jeff Bowden bashers.
