It's because there wasn't time to make a fancy video for the song, so they fell back on the old standby of concert footage. Unfortunately, Cara never did this song live, and Pepsi did. I don't think we're meant to notice. It's unsettling.

i SEE helen 'pepsi' demacque in this video, but i HEAR cara dillon's vocals. somebody DEAF could distinguish the vocals between the two! no matter though. i LOVE both versions. -cara's 'wispy' english/irish rose version and helen's 'rythmic' version. kudos to ya's both from a yank across the pond! way to go mike!

I agree with you, this is not a live performance and the vocals are definately not Pepsi Demaque, it must be the album version and, thus, Cara Dillon. Compare the real live performance with Pepsi, big vocal difference. Both are really good, but, personally, I prefer Caras wonderfully sweet, subdued voice.

Wow! I could've sung this to an ex-girlfriend as the perfect kiss-off song and had her go away still feeling good about herself. -Only she would’ve been the WOMAN In The Rain!' The unusually mellow vocals in this vid is a dubb piped from the lovely chords of Cara Dillon, although Pepsi Demacques’ take on it is just as GOOD! The lyrics grabbed my attention the 1st time listening to it, not to mention that FANTASTIC electronic guitar sequence by Mike Oldfield that had me completely blown away!
