You tainted little red wagon. Folk songs are classic please don't alter them. they have been handed down through generations. We cant just go change them at will then eventually the original will be lost in time. see great folk legend Almeda Riddle.
@ProfessorFoulMouth surely the whole point of folk music is that it was never written down and therefore was always changing and evolving? That's the joy of it. People added new verses and altered the songs all the time as they saw fit/could remember, no?!
