  • @tubephantom1 Thjank you for your comment and no needs to say sorry at all!

  • @pcbd it doesn't need to be effectives.. it needs armony and to feeling the flow the movement.. i love fighting that's why from tkd i moved to bjj and boxe but i will always respect traditional martial arts..it's where all cames from.. peace & respect :)

  • @tubephantom1 i see his form as a very effective one due to his motions being very confusing which could confuse his opponent and allow him enough time to attack

  • @tubephantom1 I have had 27 years and can see the destructive hands. So far in the first 42 seconds, I see attacks to the eyes and the throat which have damaging effects. Between Eastern and Western skills, and if you can not see the skills behind what he is doing, well just means you do not find Eastern skills good enough to your taste. I wish you well even though whatever your skills are had a connection with what this guy is doing as a descendant more than you know.

  • Good skill. I see the worthiness.

  • @tubephantom1 those strikes and grabs looked like they were going for the eyes and throat...and that is pretty harmful....22 years huh? i guess all those years were useless...no offense. if you cant even apply those forms in image training your martial art is practically useless..you've learned nothing..its what you make out of the style not what the style can give you.

  • @tubephantom1 I personally disagree. You must remember from your own experience that in terms of effectiveness every form is useless because each physical 'situation' is unique and that a man this experienced would realize the individual technique and utilize that.

I'll admit the form isn't flashy, but that's a bonus. You can see the principles behind each of his techniques quite clearly, and from this you can develop your own ideas, and isn't that what we are supposed to seek in martial arts?

  • @tubephantom1 your a liar man fight me for proof

  • @tubephantom1 From your vast experience surely you are willing to provide a video of yourself doing something that would showcase true effectiveness. I note that while you favorite many, I did not see one video of you doing anything, showing your skill, or teaching another. It is easy to criticize with cruelty, even under the guise of respect, as you have done here, but harder to put yourself on the line for others to do so, as pcbd has done.

  • they sad part is he was holding back. He didn't throw his weight because he knew it would be to much. His form was sloppy he was purposely throwing a dud punch the supress he power to get into the MMA. Now just so you guys know he wasn't going to use that kind if power against his opponents. He went to as a ultimate test. To test his restraints to make sure he could control that power on the lowest level up to a maximum of 350 pounds per square inch that's all. He was gonna go in the and kill s

  • This fighting style and many other like many forms of Kung Fu and wushu require you attack with only an open fist because the power attained when training your body, spirit and mind you become a walking wall of raw power n attack your opponent with a closed fist could kill them or deal damage comparable to that of a 20 or 30 mph car accident. They would alot my brother to fight in the MMA because he power was to great. He measure 987 pounds of pressure per square inch on the power punch scale.

  • weird..I have no legitimate training in any form of martial arts.. yet I see, in this video, alot of the strikes and kicks and the movements leading to such things, that I do when I spar or fight.. Dragon form definitely has my interest now.. to bad my city is the worst place for personal growth in martial arts -_-

  • @luxiniv320 Personal growth?

  • @colaFRank I like to learn martial arts..the more I learn the more a grow proficient in skills and techniques, and it applies to myself (but also the control attained through training the body, mind and spirit), hence personal growth. this is something that pretty much every martial discipline gym or dojo mentions, is 'personal growth' its like the one thing every martial art on this planet has in common.

  • @luxiniv320 I'd have to agree. Good luck, lux. Stay strong. Keep to the virtues.

  • Kung Fu stylists at the advanced levels of training do not enter MMA matches not out of fear but because there are indeed Kung Fu techniques which indeed are prohibited in MMA matches (eye gouging, groin strikes, bone breaks, joint dislocations, sinew damage, lethal vital points striking, etc., not to mention weapons work). A Kali exponent can't bring his parangs/kris/machetes to a match.

  • @shango1963 Great comment, imo. Prohibition equals restriction.

  • I don't understand the concept that MMA is a new thing. Most martial arts, those which have been battlefield/"street" tested have always had this core concept. Mixing striking grappling has always been the case with these ancient arts. I'd argue that contemporary MMA is incomplete for lack of more lethal techniques, rules of engagement and no weapons work.

  • @shango1963 I agree and disagree. It all comes down to your definition of "mixed martial arts".

If referring to the practice of mixing fighting styles, techniques, and principles, than yes, it is nothing new.

If referring to the modern day combat sport of MMA, which is based upon combining various techniques and principles from different combat sports, then yes, MMA is VERY new to the Western wolrd.

  • @shango1963 Also, I agree that MMA is VERY incomplete as a real "battlefield" martial art. All the physical fitness is excellent, but MMA practitioners do not train in a way that prepares them properly for a real-life fight. You can't use one-on-one grappling techniques ona group of 3 people.

But MMA, while initially designed to find the "ultimate" fighting style, has now regressed to something of a far tamer sport. We are far too civilised and sensitive for a "real" fight as entertainment.

  • Whoooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!! Nice!

  • @pcbd if evr your tempted or given a chance, how well do you think you can competes agianst MMA fighters, plz dont provide a diplomatic answers as a,lot of kung fu fihgters do that"evry martial art is good and blah". honestly how do you think you'll perform against them in a real cage fight

  • The music is from Battlefield 2, i think its the Chinese theme. Funny thing, i used to tune my steelstring guitar to a classic Qin (ancient zihter) tuning, never rocked it with a slide though.

  • I am learning Mizong Quan forms, I encorperate shaolin fighting crane, some TanDao crane techniques, and some wing chun in-fighting. (your 22 northern black dragon little idea form) all for hand techniques, and Hwang Jang Lee high impact kicks, I have to learn this myself using instructional cd's.. I really like this guy in this video, Ive been practicing the sanshou 4 punch this guy teaches.. Id like to know his name if at all possible. I am MOST impressed with your kung fu reflections video!

  • ouma (bow)

     whats the sound track?

    tchuikin (bow)

  • @IgorOgamer I'm sorry that I couldn't remember the name of this sound track as I dowmloaded it long time ago. I will try to find out and let you know if I find out.

  • ouma (bow)

    that is a beautiful kachi

please tell me: what school are you from sifu?

    tchuikin (bow)

  • respect master :) (bow)

  • Is this a form? It seems like something you created. Kinda like drills taken from various portions of a form or forms.

  • This style looks beast

  • i see alot of finger strikes in this form how would they strengthen their finger

  • What system and lineage does this form come from? Is this Northern Shaolin of some branch?

  • @JarredD798HungMan1 look at his legs, he alwasy gets low after a string of strikes, southern, extremely southern

  • @MrSkittlesauce , Good point, I agree it is probably is southern. Wasn't to sure the first time I watched it. It has some northern leg influence I would say but the hands and stances are for sure southern. Thanks for pointing those things out.

  • @MrSkittlesauce how come it says northern then?? and whats the difference? high stance, low stance??

  • @jojojr2 southern chinese martial arts typically have low stances to mainly meant for power and stability.

  • @MrSkittlesauce couldnt a solid high stance serve the same purpose if its honest form? Ive had to use high stances because of my knees, but the are strengthening and Im able to get into lower stances now.

  • @jojojr2 well yah, a higher stance can be good as any other just so as long as it lives up to true stability and balance. im just saying standard low stances are traditionally for power, stability, and well....better against grapples too

  • This is a great video! I've never formally learned any Dragon form, but I developed a Dragon & Phoenix set utilizing Dragon claws for Chin Na application, "Dragon like" stepping methods as a base for footwork techniques, Taijiquan body mechanics & movement, Shuai Jiao like throws, Phoenix Eye fist as the major hand form incorporating pressure point striking, built on a foundation of Taijiquan, 8-Step Preying Mantis, and various Chi Gong forms. It was effective in full contact sparring.

  • @kumoryu001...You have trained in many arts...*Bow* Never limit oneself to only one fighting style, because you will only be depriving yourself of wisdom. I myself have mastered Dragon Style/Tiger Claw/Muay Thai/TaeKwonDo and Hapkido.

  • @KariAlyssa24 Well said! Recently i was given negative comments about my transition from jujitsu to taekwondo then to muay thai boxing, then shotokan karate and now to kung fu. I was told i was jack of all trades and will never be master of any :( I ignored these comments completely...i've learned LOADS through my years of martial arts and i enjoy the challenge of getting the hang of styles new to me :D

  • With great strength and beauty the dragon floats through the darkened sky.

Calmly waiting, hypnotizing and distracting its prey with fluid movements of hand and claw.

Then with lightning speed and precision he makes his strike.

Emotional intensity uniting spirit and mind with the body.

Deceiving kicks to all levels, dragon's grasp ,vicious elbows and wisping defense of the fluid windy palms allow the hunter to confuse its prey.

To live and fly another day.

  • What a beautiful writing that you deeply express the inner feeling of your artistic side.

Dan, I have been very busy lately and I would catch up on your new and professional done videos. Thank you for your kind and in depth writing...

  • Agreed very well said Dan.

  • @SacredFireFilms Nice words, I thought of Bruce Lee when i read this. He is truly is like a dragon. fluid movements of hand, lighting speed and precision, emotional intensity, and deceiving kicks. Wow.

  • when MMA fights allow appropiate timing for kung-fu, why do you think it is not utilized and why are there not any using this art of fighting in MMA?

  • MMA, kickboxing, jiu jitsu competitions have rules and regulations, it is a form of sport competition and many kung-fu techniques are prohibited.

  • Don't you agree it would be an excellent idea to incorporate some of these aspects of fighting styles.... how is it MMA if not every form is tried.

  • *bows* I'm a practioner of a Shaolin Lohan Pai(if you like please look up our youtube page) and I was just curious(always like learning about other systems) it seems that your default stance is a slight variant of Ma Bu. Is that accurate or am I missing something. All respect to a skilled martial artist. *bows*

  • what is prohibited?

  • what? many technique techniques are prohibited? kung fu just means technique, there is dragon style techinique, crane, snake, shaolin, monkey, ect.

  • @MDNSBS

Wrong...Kung Fu just means hard work/effort.

  • @CertifiedOddBall Cause most of the technique used by kung-fu form are illegal in MMA competition

  • @CertifiedOddBall rules rules rules...without rules mma is pretty much crap. fighting and sports are different.

  • Thank you for sharing your wisdom.

  • Fantastic video. I love the elbows throws

  • Thanks a lot for sharing such a great video. The style is amazing as well as the techniques and performance.

    Thanks again and take care.
