  • About the ingredients in Clinique Repairwear (peptides, proteins, caffeine). Does Murad Essential-C Eye Cream SPF 15 contains any of that? Obvious i've seen the caffeine— but what about the others too?

    murad.com/essential-c-eye-cream.jsp

  • I already have fine lines under my eyes (hereditary) and I'm only 16, should I be using eye cream?

  • You always look so flawless xxx

  • hey lisa, i love your video, but i hae got one question- when you're explaining how to make thoose green tea ice cubes, whats ment with the thing you're mentioning after green tea? o tried to google it in every way of spelling but still haven't found it. could you help me how is it spelt - the "gows??" (whatever;-)) from the chemist. thank you :)

  • @MegaKillphill She said to buy gauze from your local pharmacy.

  • @iamnotdikkie thank you !

  • @MegaKillphill Gauze?

  • Allergies cause it as well.

  • Lisa, fascinating stuff, I'm a guy in my late 40's , and great advice here for anyone. My Doctor has referred my to a Plastic Surgeon as my upper eyelids have drooped, and are causing problems with my eye sight, he asked If anything else was concerning me, I was to embarrassed to say that I wouldn't mind the bags underneath being done

  • what about coffee ice cubes then for the eyes instead of the green tea?

thank you very much for all the great videos!

  • Lisa, please do a video on how to cover/conceal under-eye bags, pretty please with a cherry on top...

  • READ THIS PLEASE: i had a horrible allergic reaction to the clinique repairwear. im sure it works great for some!! :) ..... BUT!! PLEASE REMEMBER to test a small amount of any product on your wrist or crook of your arm and wait a bit to see if redness/rash appears. dont do what i did one time and apply it straight to ur undereye. bad idea. lol thats all. ty. :)

  • Please do a video on covering under-eye bags soon. This is the only challenge I have with makeup!!

  • you kinda look like natalie portman

  • im genetically unlucky in every way -__- my features cant be fixed with makeup

  • @AliBanana1493 No, no you mustn't be so down on yourself!!! You're features don't need to be "fixed" ...no-one is perfect. Make-up can be used to enhance everyone and boost confidence. There is nothing wrong with your features or anyones for that matter. Try to focus on your good points (everyone has them) and enjoy using skincare and make-up for the fun and power to lift your spirits. Have you seen my TV highlights video? All of the women on that show thought they looked bad but they dont x

  • @lisaeldridgedotcom I hate to sound so down on myself but it takes so much work with makeup for me to look okay and i don't think i'm very good at concealing and contouring properly. very true though. i'm a makeup/skincare junkie haha. No I havent but I'll check it out, I've been watching your videos ALLLL morning! love them :) thank you for your kind words:)

  • @AliBanana1493 I know what you mean! People are always like 'Contour under the cheekbones' WHAT CHEEKBONES?

  • @ilovethewayitHurts exactly! lol i've been doing makeup for years and i've tried to do what makeup artists say about contouring and highlighting, but my face is so round and blobby & I have a big nose, it's just weird to work with and I can't seem to get that contoured look because i have no cheekbones! haha maybe if I had a pro do it for me :o

  • @AliBanana1493 you're not the only one

i'm just 14 and i have the worst dark circles in the world

it looks like i've been punched, i try to use makeup but my skin won't absorve anything ): im also very very pale, almost white-pale so just imagine

  • @KiroiNoir i'm the same way, concealer doesnt do anything for me. it just looks like i tried to put something over the black circles. me too, im light skinned and i have alot of redness and circles:/

  • Omg I love you. Haha ;p

  • Pleaseeeeeee do I video on wrinkles. I'm only 14, and whenever I smile I always get horrible red wrinkles around my mouth... I'm too young to be thinking about that stuff. But, it would really help if you could suggest ways I can prevent them. Thank you♥

  • Oh please, Lisa, post your tutorial for concealing eye-bags!

    Sincerely,

Someone with genetic eye bags that will not budge

  • I'm bathing in coffee from now on.

  • with the green tea - dont let it cool down before you pour it into the ice cube trays!! dont you know boiling water freezes faster?

  • @lovelivefashion1 Yeah mate, but boiling water warps plastic ice cube trays :/

  • no late nights as i watch this at 2am lol...

  • Please please PLEASE do a video on pores- minimizing/concealing/correcting, etc. I know pore size has become a huge issue in pop culture for many reasons, and I would LOVE to learn how to correct my enlarged pores. Please and thank you!!

  • Thankyou Lisa, for this video. I really like the scientific approach you have towards the topic cos i have done alot of research myself about caffeine and it really does work if used externally and not ingested offcourse. I have tried the garnier eye cream in combination with the ice tea cubes and it does really work! I have seen alot of videos regarding this matter and not one, by far, has been as informative as this. thankyou again.

  • it's weird what u say about fat under eyes. when i was 3-4 kg more i didnt have puffy eyes. now i constantly have puffy eyes. i thought it was because fat left from that area! do you mean that fat stays stubbornly there.? i am quite skinny so naturally if it was fat i shouldn't have puffy eyes....right?

  • @this1is1me since you have lost weight in the eye area, the skin is devoid of fat cells. But since the skin has been stretched,it means that there is alot of space left between the skin and the fat, which allows more fluid retention.try masaging your eye every night before sleeping and make sure you dont drink too much of water before bed or else you will have excessive fluid retention in the morning.Use the ice tea cubes in the morning. Those wil help to tighten the skin, naturally.hope it helps :)

  • Can you please do a make up video for bag eyes and dark circle under eyes. Thank you.

  • Hi Lisa do you think age 19 is too early to start using eye creams? because ı do no wanna be late about my eye care sometimes ı never have dark circles but most of the time ı have puffyness so your advice is important for me looking forward to your reply and thanx for all those helpfull videos:)

  • can you please make a video for a date or going out makeup tutorial?(:

  • Thanks Lisa. Very informative. Very interesting.

  • Hi Lisa . Thank you fot this video it was full of good information . I suffer with puffiness ( under eye bags) and have done for many years , I have an under active thyroid which can cause your eyes to develop puffiness ,also a kidney complaint . Some products that REALLY DO HELP

I use Floracil eye make up remover by Gatineau ..and I put some in a smaller bottle and keep it in the fridge as a treatment

I also use Liz Earl's EYEBRIGHT this is a fast pick me up for many eye complaints ..,

    xx

  • I'm 16 and I've had bags/wrinkles under my eyes ever since I was about 9. My face has been puffy since birth. My eyes have always been sensitive and my lashes long, they'd poke and tickle my eyes so I'd do plenty of rubbing. It could be dehydration too but I've been working on it for the last 2 years or so. I'll try that green tea thing but I don't feel like it'll be too effective in my case. It's too early for creams isn't it?

  • Lisa, what lipstick are you wearing in this video? Love it!

  • Love the green tea idea

  • you are truly amazing, i mean between, your beauty, brains and accent It's just a dream to watch you.

  • I absolutely adore your voice and accent

  • Tear truffs a little help here people? Lisa? Anyone?

  • LIsa I didn't have room to add that I LOVED both these vids, as I suffer from both dark circles from an Italian heritage, as well as a bit of puffiness. TYVM for addressing both these issues in depth! I can't wait for the makeup video! Why don't u post it in parts if it's too long? I know there's a, technique for disguising the puffiness where u can use a concealer that's too light to go around the outside of the bag, but I've yet to see this demonstrated well. Plz show us! -XX from the States

  • Hi Lisa, I also love the Garnier concealer roller or I should say, I DID love it, until I checked the ingredients & found that denatured alchohol is the second or third ingredient!! As I'm sure u know, that type of alchohol,( not to be confused with the fatty types of alcohol, such as cetearyl alcohol which are just thickening agents) is very drying a.k.a. aging and should NEVER be placed under the eyes especially. I know ur all about gentle to ur skin, so I just wanted to let u know that! XX

  • VERY informative! Thank you so much Lisa!

  • Thank you. That was very informative.

  • It's great to see such informative, to the point videos about this subject :) Is there an eye cream you would suggest for teenagers? I am 16 and have fairly bad under eye circles/bags and my undereye area can get quite dry. I assume it's not good to use anti-aging ones at my age, so I was wandering if there was a cheap-ish (£15 or under) eye cream that you could recommend that would be moisturising but perhaps also offer help with the dark circles and bags? Thanks :)

  • Dear Lisa, Thank you for this video . Its reallu nice to know what couses skin problems and what indigrents are good . I hope youll make more vidoes like this .

I would like to know more about makeup/skincare indigrents . Wich ones are really harmfull and wich ones nice . Also, a video about hair would be nice - how to treat hair, wash, sleep and also indigrents we should beware and why . You always explain so easy :)

  • Lisa , do you mind doing an every day wearable look and a night time smoky eye on indian/sri lankan model please?

  • Your blouse is absolutely beautiful!

  • you should make one about when your chicks loose fat and become skinnier..i'm having that problem nown with my face...and don't know if it's because my age or heritage or what???? may be there is a product that can help me or a way to put make up so my chicks don't looks like loosing fat

  • Can we use serum under eye area?

  • Skin care routine for different age groups will be very very much helpful!!!

  • I love your videos. Soooo informative. Thanks very much!

  • I use the Repairwear Eye Cream by Clinique and it is amazing! I'm only 23, I get made fun of by my friends for usung a seperate cream for my eyes but I feel it makes a difference. I'm totally showing them this video so they can see that a celebrity make up artist used an eye cream when she was 23!!!

  • I felt so squeamish listening to you explain the fat under the eyes hahaha

  • Mine get puffy from RUBBING them during sleep. Allergies make them itchy and since I'm sleeping, I don't realize I'm rubbing... I wake up with eyes almost swollen shut sometimes! Which is SCARY. I'll try the green tea cubes! Thanks!

  • FABULOUS video!! Thank you! :)) Lisa

  • Could you talk about preventing wrinkles? Thumbs up so she can see this!

  • Your hair looks awesome!

  • I've heard that keeping those eye rollers in the fridge gives them a bit more of a boost for depuffing.

  • Lisa, are there any treatments for the opposite of bags....I have almost deep crators, they are also dark. I have had "Dark circles" since I was a little girl. I have tried several ways of covering them, and I can still "SEE" them. it is so frustrating.

  • Hi Lisa!!! Which lip product are you wearing for this video??? It looks amazing...

  • Please could you make a video on becoming a makeup artist please? It would be really helpful! xx

  • Ty So Much :)

  • hi lisa what do you think of sisley skincare products?

  • plz do a tutorial of this simple look u wearing in this video , btw ur dress is looking so pretty too.

  • Ty! That's facinating!

  • Another amazing and informative tutorial from Lisa Eldridge. Thank you so much!!

  • i use dr. hauschka skincare products and follow the entire skin care philosophy including no moisturizer/emollient at night. since doing so puffiness under the eye is gone.

  • Hi Lisa, the beautiful woman on the still picture for this video has slightly hooded eyes. Could you use her as a model one day to show how to do makeup for hooded eyes?

  • Fabulous information Lisa, Thank you so much:)

  • Thank you for taking the time to give us this great information.

  • could you please do more of a demonstration on severe under eye circles?

  • Thanks you Lisa for this video, I like how you explained the causes, and then ingredients that can help. Thank you so very much<3 what a great informative video.

  • Great information and research in these video Lisa!! My question to you is, will you be posting a concealing video? I think if you included the best colors (i.e. yellow versus pink etc.) and formulas (cream vs. powders or liquids) for the undereye area it would be super helpful for us who need a little extra cover up!! :)

  • I have a sort of line going from my inner corner down to about the centre of my cheeks with a bag-like feature above it, is this a form of under-eye bags? I'd reallllllly appreciate your help :D

  • Do you think you could maybe do a skin care video for different age groups..20s..30s..40s

  • I'm only 15 years old and I seem to have wrinkles under my eyes (kind of like fine lines) and it's really annoying. When i put concealer on, all it does is highlights it and makes them more apparent. I don't understand why I have wrinkles under my eyes, maybe because of the bags I have very close to my lower lashline. Do you have any solutions, Lisa? Thank you

  • @MegaHellobello i have the same issue:/ really weird eye creases and fine lines. its like, i'm only 18! and i have really oily skin

  • jade rollers are good for this....

  • You should do a video like this on wrinkles. I am only 19 and my biggest problem is the wrinkles under my eyes and on my forehead. Shouldn't I be too young to worry about them yet! :)

  • @develen2 My friend has that too. She goes out in the sun a lot without shades and sleeps with her makeup on. That could be it.

Forehead wrinkles are natural. I have lines there, too. :)

  • Hi Lisa, thanks so much for this helpful video! I tried your 'Green Tea Ice Cubes' idea and the results were fabulous - much better then from any product I've ever used. I made a short DIY video on it. Thanks again xo

  • Subscribe to my channel for a Christmas giveaway! Xxx

  • ive been using moisturizer and eye cream since grade school. i was a ballet dancer forever and since we had to wear a lot of makeup we started me on a skin care regime very young and it has paid off. i'm 25 and frequently people think i am at least 10 years younger because of the condition my skin is in. also my grandma used to always tell me to mositurize my neck so i won't be saggy like her, she shake her neck jiggle at me haha

  • interesting

  • Thanks Lisa... this is so helpful... I'm going to try the green tea ice cubes. I have the Garnier roll on (the normal one without the concealer)... could you use this together with the ice cubes or is it best to rather do one or the other? Looking forward to the concealing video...I really struggle with that :)

  • I really like this video.....so liking it that I am going to start making the ice cube green tea ...thanks lisaa....

  • You are the most gorgeous woman on Youtube and so incredibly helpful!! I feel so blessed I found your videos! :)

  • I JUST LOVE YOUR VOICE c:

  • Lisa you are so amazing. You're a celebrity makeup artist who cares about every day women with every day concerns. I love how down to earth you are. I apprciate your making this video so much, I have lost so much confidence due to my under-eye bags. They make me feel so ugly and tired looking. If you ever need someone to show how to cover bags on, I'd be more than happy to volunteer! Thanks again for your guidance. xxx

  • Hello Lisa, in this video you advised us to start using eye cream young. I am 22 and I have just started. Also I have been wondering if you would recommend to start using anti wrinkle creams young. I am concerned about getting wrinkles on my forhead already (although I have a good lifestyle) Thank you for your help. Ali.

  • BTW Lovely top, designer?

  • Maybe over creaming round the eye area also causes puffiness due to some product seeping into the eye via the small fine lines etc and causeing the body trying to defend iteself from chemicals with excess fluid or lymph being sent to the area to flush it out>. Thats my theory anyhow .

  • Lisa, could you do a video on fading dark spots due to acne?

  • Lisa Thanks for this wonderful Video and for your advice - Love the clinique repairwear cream! Just saw an Interview with Kirsten Stewart , she really has bags under her eyes at such a Young age, wish she gets to see your Video...

  • These are such helpful videos. Thank you for all the information!

  • Nice and clear thanks. Plus the girl is HOTTT as well!!

  • I actually had the surgery to eleviate my inherited bags - the doctor didn't remove the fat as that would make my eyes look too sunken, but instead smoothed the fat out. It's been three years and I'm thrilled with the results. Not only am I saving on concealer, but I no longer look tired all the time!

  • YOU HAVE TO DO BELLA SWAN MAKE UP WEDDING! PLEASEEEEEEEE

  • Very usefull!! Now can you make a video about dark circles, how concealer them and each type of pigmentation (blue, purple and brown dark circles)? Thanks, you the best <3

  • Hi Lisa, very helpful tutorial thank you!... I like how you include the science behind the facts:) I was wondering where you learnt about this information... whether you went to uni.. I'm doing my GCSEs at the moment but am looking to study a type of dermatology and maybe to do something in professional cosmetics industry as you do (something along those lines anyway, sorry for being vague!). Loving the videos and would love for you to reply to this and to hear your advice! :) Thank you x Holly

  • Lisa, I have puffiness on my eyelids would this stuff work for it?

  • Hi Lisa! Thanks so much for doing this and the products to help!!

  • Comment removed

  • Thank you for this video!

  • Could you please do a tutorial on Natalie portman as miss Dior. I really want to know how to get the hair and makeup look. Please!!!!!

  • @fook1278 Oh yeah, she looks sooo beautiful!

  • Could u please do a tutorial on miss Dior(Natalie portman)'s look. Ive been obsessed with their ads and I really want to get the hair and makeup look... Please help!!!

  • what is your favorite eye cream for wrinkles in late 30's to early 40's?

  • Lisa thank you for your video, I have a question though. I don't really have any puffiness but i have purple circles under my eyes. when i apply concealer it appears again in another half hour. what products do you suggest? (a proffessional make up person told me it's impossible to get rid of it only with make up, is that true?) thank you I appreciate it..

  • You answered every possible question! Thank you :) x

  • Awesome and informative!

  • Gosh, i really really apreciate all your great advise. I always watch your videos when i do my weekly facial care...lemon facial scrub, alvocado firming mask, crest white strips, youtube video. Thanks Lisa! :)

  • I have the garnier caffeine roll-on and though I don't really have dark circles, I do have puffiness under the eyes. I really recommend it, it was surprising how much better my eyes looked afterwards, and the concealing makes you look less tired too!

  • for some reason every time you mentioned fat under the eyes it made me squirm haha

  • I really enjoy how well researched your videos are! Especially these last two. I've always had puffiness, even as a small child, and I've really enjoyed this video and getting understand what might being the underlying issue. I swear by the Garnier roll-on though I dislike the concealing one cause its not right for my near translucent skin tone.

  • can u show us how to cover under-eye black circles? and what are the right product to cover it up

  • @LaBellE0Vie Watch her last video.

  • what's your nail polish it's gorg!

  • that's really interesting. Did you know there's a trend in japan/korea where puffy eye bags are considered as cute? There are even tutorials in magazines which show how to create fake puffy eye bags with make up!

  • @NightingalesSong thats so interesting... thanks x

  • @NightingalesSong Shut up!! Really?!

  • @NightingalesSong Maybe we need the trend to hit western shores like the BB cream, that wld put some of us out of our misery lol

  • @NightingalesSong oh yeah i heard! to have that little bag under your eyes right??? i heard its makes it really pretty when you smile with your eyes or something???

  • @chouhone yup true! They say it gives you a cuter, more charming and youthful look. Some of the boys and girls (and especially celebs) under go plastic surgeries to achieve permanent puffy eyebags. But I should point out that discoloration around the under eyes and bags because of aging are not wanted. They just want that puffiness. Koreans call them "aegyo sal".

  • @NightingalesSong don't they consider dark circles as cute too? I hope they do, so I could say I'm cute in korean standards)))

  • @NightingalesSong that kind of eye bags we like is different from the eye bags cause from staying up late or unhealthy living style which the eye bag is a lot bigger.!

  • @plklkl I know. :) I posted in another comment that there's slightly a different between aegyo sal and eye bags caused of unhealthy lifestyle. Nevertheless they like puffyness under the eyes while westerners want them camouflaged as much as possible. Just wanted to show the cultural difference.

  • @NightingalesSong But i think westerner like aegyo sal too as they always put dark eye shadow on the low eyeline just to create the aegyo sal... and of course no one in the world like eye bags including asian.

  • @plklkl They do? I've never heard any westener say they want aegyo sal. I guess westeners don't want anything in the under eye area in general. Otherwise Ms. Eldridge wouldn't make this video. I think the puffy eyebag is a phenomenon which occurs mostly in asia. And of course I'm only talking about the PUFFY eye bags. Not dark circles or hanging eye bags. It's the same thing with pale skin (for asians) and having sun kissed skin (westeners). It's about different ideals of beauty.

  • thanks for these videos and you explain so clearly i think it hould be a great a minimizing pores videos too. Thanks

  • I think you're the best

  • Lisa, this is my hypothesis for the over eye creaming effect: Many lotions work by drawing moisture or holding moisture to the skin. Eye creams are the elitists at this in terms of moisturizing. As you know the skin in the eye area is also thinner than skin elsewhere and therefore it would make sense that a little goes a long way due to the thinner skin. So loading up on a cream that is excellent at drawing, imparting, or "trapping" moisture to the skin is likely to enhance fluid retention.

  • i've heard of people over eyecreaming but still getting puffy and i thought it was kinda like you're suffocating the skin and irritating it just like if you had slept with your eye makeup on?? what do you think of my hypothesis? great vid!

  • I'm loving these informative films Lisa.

Learning is the key to everything!

Makes me extra proud to work for Clinique too :)

  • Lisa, your videos are incredibly informing and you are really brilliant to watch :)

  • thank you, that was very informative :)

  • @halamahdi I have the same problem! i totally understand. It's like your bone structure is such tt there is a part tt is hollow under your eyes and it causes perpetual circle and shadow there ryt? :D

  • Amazing amount of information and knowledge! I look forward to your videos everyday!

  • LISA, COULD U PLEASE MAKE A VIDEO TALKING ABOUT YOUR DIET :)

  • @112angelsss I think she's said in other videos that she's a vegetarian.

  • if you don't have an issue of fat under your eyes is it then completely unnecessary to use a caffeine eye cream?

  • I have dark circles and i feel my eyes sink in rather than sag or get puffy... so i almost have like circles from the actual bone does that make sense? :s I just wanted to ask if anything can be used to stop that from happening. x

  • Thumbs up for best eye creams videos!

  • I'm 16, is that too young for an eye cream? :S

  • This is really helpful thankyou :) I also love your top, where is it from? x

  • Lisa,

THANK YOU!!! I have to say the amount of research and thought you put into these informative videos is incredible. These types of videos really do justice to consumers who are bombarded with fancy advertising but yet don't really understand the real chemistry behind the products. On a side note, do you think you can do a video about concealers you have found crease the least? For me all crease and i've come terms with that, so now I just want to have one that doesn't crease as much.

  • Hello Lisa! I have a question that I would be glad if you could answer! I am 16 and don't have any particular problem with my eyes, except a few fine lines under my eyes. No bags or anything though. And I was wondering if I should start using a smooth eye cream? But I am a little hesitant because of my age! If you could enlighten me I would be grateful! P.S I have an EXTREMELY sensitive skin, -combination I think- especially when in sun. Thank you a lot Lisa! Keep up the amazing work xx

  • Quick tip: if you go to the suqqu website you can find a pdf that has a tutorial for a 3-minute facial which improves the lymph-drainage. I've massaged my face everyday for the last 6 weeks and the difference it made was incredible. Not only do I have less under-eye puffiness, but my whole face got slimmer. =)

  • I don't get puffiness at all since I don't drink or smoke at all, but I have sunken in bags under my eyes. They aren't as bad as they used to be though and not as dark, drinking water has helped loads but it is still pretty visible and I have to use heavy duty eye concealers without them I look extremely tired. I'm going to be investing in on a good eyecream for my specific problem but I have no idea what to use since most eye creams are mostly for puffed up bags and water retention.

  • Hi Lisa, I love the colour of the lipstick in your bags/puffiness video. What it is? :)

  • I absolutely love your videos and I'm always happy when I see you uploaded a new one !!! Thanks

  • Hello Lisa! Thanks for this video, it was really informative, do you have any suggestions for eye creams for young adults ? I'm 24 and I'd like to find an eye cream that would moisturize and prevent wrinkles around my eyes. Thank you!!

  • You are the only guru that my mum stays interested in when I go to show her beauty videos. She really takes your advice to heart. I was wondering if you could do a 'do or don'ts' for older women who use make-up.

  • Thanks you for the video. I really really enjoyed it. It's funny hearing you talk about all those ingredients got me thinking that you would have make a really good scientist. LOL :D

  • thumbs up for minimizing pores video! T__T

  • ...Now I wan't to drink alot of water ;O

  • Can you recommend a product that I can use that it'll instantly temporarily help reduce the look of my puffiness under my eyes that I can apply for the day/morning?

  • Thank you for the video!

  • What do you think about doing exercises with the face, against wrinkles, sagging etc.???

  • This was brilliant, thank you.

Could you perhaps make a video on the best solutions for fine lines?

Obviously the hundred dollar creams will help, but I'm really curious to see if there's any simple or... slightly more affordable solutions.

    Thanks again for your knowledge!
