some1 asked me , "does water ever get old when u leave it there for soo long?" , so i was curious looked this up and i found out it never does , the water we drink today is billions and billions of years old , it just recycles , i find that very cool
People say we're running out of water because they never learned about Desalination in school.
Not to mention NUCLEAR Desalination! Water AND power all covered under one plant process! Why we don't have more desalination in the United States is totally beyond me. We wouldn't need to bleach or treat or fluoride our water an there'd be no risks like we have with current water (Remember the EColi outbreak in the great lakes because of fecal matter in the water!?)
@ianboswell uuuuuh desalinization is still prohibitively expensive. It takes an enormous amount of power. And making it nuclear power doesn't really help the situation.
The reason it's not more common is that well, first most local budgets could never afford it, so it would be a commercial enterprise, and at the amount of energy used, the price point per bottle produced would be uncompetitive in the marketplace.
unless we shoot water into outer space, we will never run out of water. in fact, the water you drink today is the same that the one that came down on the Earth when it was "made" the problem is that we are taking the water from rivers (e.g. the colorado river) to put in places where it shouldn't be to cultivate as much vegetation as possible (e.g. in the middle of the nevada desert)...
To all the people saying. "ew yucky no i wont drink it" that water you buy at stores wen through the same process. not to mention that the money you carry in your pocket could have been in the hands of some guy that masturbates everyday. I cant wait to see how many people actually freak about this.
Well if it tastes the same, has no side effects, and is cheaper, then why not buy it! If theres no difference from natural spring water, then it's also better! They put all of the chemicals and vitamins into this water. I guess back in your mind you have that little voice telling you that this water was once very dirty.

I dunno why I even drink 'normal' city water, freaking nasty, think about it .. ew!

What's wrong with city water? It's basically the same as bottled water except like a million times cheaper...

think about it.. it runs down into graves and then over all of the other nasty stuff outside :( yucky
kayyouman 3 years ago
Well yeah, that's true, but you can't think about it that way :)
