@venon1186 Actually is the worst thing you can do to install anything, because the actual "soap" won't never let the vynil stick to the surface. It's fine for plain and small things, but for cars or areas with a lot of curves its suicidal. You just need a proper vynil that's all, but please no soap!!
Not this one badly, but not since call in your country here in order that the paper does not stick and could be molded there is in use soap VEL or for plates it is mixed by water and a dispenser I am used spray and you wet the surface of the boss, and this way you do not have to be detaching and sticking the paper every you see that you have an air bubble.
@xFathead41x el trabajo que isiste esta muy bien y me gusto, no hablo ingles y te escribi mediante un traductor, solo te dije que se te aria mas facil usando jabon desengrasante para lavar platos, es una tecnica que te facilita la instalacion del papel.
@venon1186 The work? That isiste this one very well and I like me, I do not speak Englishman, if he is a translator, only I said to you that Aryan easy mas using soap soap I liquidate to wash plates, it is a technology that facilitates the installation of the paper to you. Regards
@cheeksbarton99 just buy some vinyl and do it, take it slowly and make sure you have a squeeqee, try getting a soft one as it think it works better. but again upto u.
@east56789 walaykum salaam, bruv i used about 1.5 meters by 1.7 meters for the bonnet. i buy rolls of vinyl and sell it on so doesnt really cost me anything.
@ukayboi I didn't use water, I just did it dry. U can use soapy water I think, it makes it that slightly more easier, but I would then have to lay the whole vinyl wrap on the bonnet and I find it hard that way, but might try it on my next attempt. Check out my other video the link is in the description. Thanks for watching
I work for a graphics company in Texas and I do car wraps for a living. If laminated and applied correctly a good wrap can be expected to last no less than five years.
Wrap laminates are applied over the vinyl and come in various finishes ranging from gloss to matte and provide UV protection to prevent fading and cracking.
@TheNolimits21 Yep comes Off with no damage, depending on quality of vinyl, some do leave glue residue but it can be cleaned. I think you have to heat the vinyl when u peel it off.
I work for a graphics company in Texas and I do car wraps for a living. We routinely do vehicle wrap removals and rarely see damage. The only paint loss I've seen was on a food trailer that had been crudely spray painted to begin with before being wrapped. Never on a proper vehicle finish though.
Every now and then the vinyl will leave small bits of glue, but this can easily be removed with denatured alcohol and will not hurt the vehicle finish.
@VinylFaze Thanks, since this I have done 3 other cars and wrapped the whole of my car in Matt black, videos coming soon. I sell at about £15-20 per meter depending on what you was after.
@bizkiteater Lol, yeah thanks for the advice but I'm doing just fine, yeah that is toilet paper lol, the felt bit on my squeegee was crap so put toilet paper around it to stop it scratching the paper.
@chuy25 I done the whole car in the end, Matt black on the sides and carbon on the bonnet and roof and back boot lid. I buy and sell vinyl I get all my stock from abroad
I am glad it turned out because you are using some horrible techniques, you should spend a little dough and take a class then you can really make some money and save a butt load of time, is that toilet paper on your squeegee?
@pr0phang No, vinyl Is easy to take off, also depends on the quality of your vinyl. It came off pretty easy as I had to redo the boot lid on my cousins BMW E60, came off in one go. And it didn't damage the paint work.
@Wolfgaurd1 Well depends, I did my car myself so only cost I had was the vinyl wrap, if you pay someone it will probably costt about £150 per panel or about £900 for the whole car. I suggest that you give it a go yourself and if you mess up then take it to someone. I have carbon fiber for sale so if you want to buy some for your bonnet contact me.
@Mr420Cheese Yeh mate good idea, u can save loads on the re spray. It really depends on the sort of vinyl you get, I found it really easy but I was only doing the bonnet which really straight forward, when doing bends it gets tricky I'm gonna wrap the rest of the car and post vid up, if you decide to wrap yours let me know what color as I might have some if you want to buy.
im gonna be doing a car wrap on my own car in janruary when im on the road. I saved up so i could get a bodykit and a re spray but ima just wrap the bodykit and the car and spend the rest on internal stuff instead. how did you find it, was it easier or harder than you expected?
Please just get it installed professionally. That was so getto. Were you using car keys as a scraper? You didn't get the hood finished in the video and it took almost 10mins for that little bit?
@jizzzzzzzz Lol, why would I use keys to wrap my car?? Why would anyone use keys, i was using a squeegee, yes I didn't finish it in the video because my camera ran out of memory.
I don't see why I should pay someone to do something which I can do myself, I done a wicked job.
And It did take me a long time as I wanted to make sure it's done properly.
Nice job! I've done so many hoods at this point that I can throw them on without even thinking about it, but man I remember the first time I ever did it. I was sweating bullets. You were much calmer than me.
@mrspanky78750 thanks, i just felt it looked easy and gave it a go. the vinyl was good thats why it never gave me any problems. but when it comes to bumpers i think i will struggle.
