this fucking guy never seen a battle in his life hes just a pawn like the rest of them there are no more patriots in this world we are being stipped of our rights everyday fucking bullshit
@goose420w Step 1:Go to Wikipedia. Step 2: Look up David Petraeus. Step 3: Scroll down to Involvement in the Iraq war. Step 4: Insert foot into mouth.
Prof. Richard Falk, UNHCR, appointed for SIX years: it is "inescapable that an objective observer would reach the conclusion that this Iraq war is a war of aggression, and as such, that it amounts to a Crime against Peace of the sort for which surviving German leaders were indicted, prosecuted and punished at the Nuremberg trials conducted shortly after the Second World War."
Every BRAVE soldier would protect HIMSELF against WAR CRIMES by asking to be taken to trial. BRAVE SOLDIERS did...:-))
WORD....Bring them home, why aren't George Bush's daughters in the battle field? Maybe I'll support the war then, after he lied about going into Iraq. Look at the history of democracy for example American Revolution, the French Revolution,Haitian Revolution e.t.c Since when did countries invade other countries to create democracy?
I have the up most respect for Gen Patraeus and all the men and women serving in Iraq and in Afghanistan, but there honestly is a time we all need to look long and hard at the losses and the cost to the American people as in loss of life of these brave men and women as well as the cost to this nation that is honestly killing our economy. It is high time Iraq stop pissing around and take the respectability for there nation. I do not want to see more of our man and women die for Iraq.
When you are a millionaire/billionaire like the people controlling Washington and the people that pushed us into this war, the economy will never be an issue.
Unemployment, inflation, poor education, record budget deficit, When you are rich, none of these things matter, they will run us into the ground, it doesn't matter to them, they(and their families) will still be rich
General Petraeus is a hero for the American Military and by far the most competent General I've seen in a long time.
Have some respect for the man leading the people who give their lives for your freedom, He isn't responsible for the Iraq War, he is just there doing his job.
Remember war is always uncertain, as any general knows that. You're asking General Petaeus the unanswerable question. The miltary can only do what the military can do, and can only hope the rest is going well. When wil we bring troops home is a political question, not a military question.
Rational debate? It's called protesting! Maybe John Adams, Thomas Jefferson and George Washington should've skipped fighting for independence and just tried a rational debate?
HUH?! Why don't you concentrate less on protesters and instead work on improving your writing skills. And if you don't think advocating for the troops to get out of Iraq comes from of deep concern for the future of the US, then you need to get a clue.
The protester was so brave and courageous, i salute him for his braveness, a spirit and the spirit of a true democracy. Or is it? Well done sir, claps...
I don't see how interrupting a debate is in the spirit of true democracy.
Look, I think the protester is right, "bring them home", but let them talk to the general and have a huge protest outside instead.
Why by the way are there larger protests in Europe than in the US about this, it's your children, don't you care? Maybe people should stop typing on computers and freaking out at hearings and organize some rallies!
I guess you didn't know about the millions who have protested this war since before the invasion. Wonder why that is? There has been HUGE protest in America...but coverage was preempted by American Idol.
So what, millions of people protest like every other week in France. And they are like one sixth of the population of the US.
During the Vietnam war there were people all over America protesting and the government was afraid of its people not the other way around.
If you wanna get coverage there are ways of doing that, go crazy, start looting, have a naked rally, do something. But don't think that anything is gonna happen unless you make congress and the president afraid of you.
these senators and generals are sitting safely and eating good and sleeping good and have wonderful offices and everything's fine for them..while...the american heroes are fighting in the heat of iraq streets under fire wearing pounds of gear and body armor ....
You're crazy Virginian9000 lol, it's called civil disobedience a tactic used when protesting, kind of like sit-ins that get people arrested, and stuff like that.
Poor Gen. Petraeus... Democrats act like they don't understand English sometimes; that was such a waste of Patraeus' time.

Even if he is a good general, he was dealt a bad hand. This is the war that chose him. He will likely go down like Westmorland if he effs this up.
