Many people have suggested this, but I really think that the Academy should add an award for "Best Opening Credits". sounds a little gimmicky, I know, but some of them are legitimate artworks, and obviously require a tremendous amount of work. Personally, I loved the Opening Credit of (500) Days of Summer, they are the only credits that have actually made me cry.

I really did love the credits for Spider-man #2. It was a great choice to use Alex Ross's artwork that we all loved so much. Although I do wish though that Elfman's score had been a little more bombastic with a little more brass and lift. But I did find it even better than the last main theme.

Yeah. If I'm not mistaken, they had a disagreement about the music that was to be adapted for the train theme; in the end, Raimi wanted Elfman to rewrite it, but he wouldn't, so he got Danny Young to score it instead, as well as some other scenes. Then, Danny Elfman said he wouldn't come back for Spider-Man 3, but eventually came back and helped out a little bit.
