Dreadwind is supposed to replicate an F-16 (not an F-15 as I believe was stated in the otherwise very good video)...single vertical stabilizer, missiles on wingtips, and chine faring coming back from cockpit denote that.

I have these two, and has had them since 1988.. i think.. when u put them togehter, u failed to conect the nose-and-the-tail 2gether and also pull dreadwinds wings back, to connect with Darkwings wings. The wings on Darkwing also folds all the way forward, allowing for 2 guns 2 be put "on his back". I like these too alot, but im not sure where i have them at them moment.. *ashamed* Nice presentation thou. Thanx
I love this figure,some joints on mine are too loose and he's incomplete but i got a pretty good deal on him,and the joints should be fixable by tightening some screws.
Yah!!! Beast Wars we need more Beast Wars Reviews but I also look foward to Darkwings Review when you decide to do his Review also for some reason I keep thinking of Darkwing Duck when you say Darkwings Name.
Excellent review on a lesser known character. I remember him from the old Marvel comics. I highly recommend Reprolabels. I've used them for at least 3 figures and they look fantastic. I believe they are based out of Canada but I could be wrong about that. If you ever get Piranicon that would be an awesome figure to review. Congrats on going to Auto Assembly. I went to BotCon back in 2001 and I'm sure it would only be better now.
Interesting that you mentioned Jetfire as there is a BotCon exclusive Dreadwind remolded from Classics Jetfire. Which is a really nice figure and it has alot in common with G1 Dreadwind. I hope they make a Universe Darkwing, even if it's just a Silverbolt remold. Just so we can have the duo.

Oh one little nitpick: Dreadwinds alt mode is an F-16, Darkwing is the F-15, I remember that becuase I got it wrong once and got the facts handed to me by a friend.
Oh and in combine mode try pulling Dwinds wings backwards and Dwings forward, makes a single set instead of 2 separate set of wings.
I have plenty of memories of wanting this guy as a young chap as I used to really enjoy his letters page as you mentioned. "dread tidings" was it I think? it was quite amusing ( as a kid anyway)
