  • John Bauman was the worst host ever....

  • Thats not nice to say!

  • I didn't say it was nice, it's just my opinion. He wasn't a good host....sorry you disagree.

  • you could of said, "I didn't like his hosting"

  • He wasn't my favorite either. I remember Bauman used to appear on later episodes of the 1970s Match Game. I wonder if Rayburn got along with him then. Why wasn't Peter Marshall tapped to do this version?

  • He may not of been proud of himself either.

Well, the main thing that killed this was the hatred between Gene and Jon.

  • Gene wanted Peter instead of Bowzer

  • The debut of "The Match Game" occured in 1962.

The debut of "The Hollywood Squares" occured in 1966.

  • gene was like "lame". This is the first time ive seen bauman actually host it, though ive seen tens of MGHSH vids. IT SUCKS. I also didnt know eubanks was on it.

  • He was. A lot of the celebrities on this were from mostly NBC shows since MGHS was on that network. At the time Eubanks was hosting a game show called "Dream House".

  • On the other hand, "Scarecrow and Mrs. King" was on CBS.

  • I remember Dream House had ran in the death knell slot (the 11am hour), opposite the mainstay "Price Is Right." And MGHS hour, the animosity between the hosts aside, wasn't even seen in some markets including mine. Heh, I was in junior high then anyway and didn't have recording equipment yet lol

  • Like Chuck Woolery & Bill Cullen,= Were on there too
