  • OK why the fuck can't that be used to make electricity!

Tesla was a god! A shame society shunned his most of his ideas.

  • @fishlube

This technique is used to generate electricity, all the time, all over the world!

The rotating egg is replaced with a rotating shaft, with something driving it, such as a steam turbine.

the egg is called a rotor which rotates inside stator coils and generates 3 phase AC electrical power.

  • hes from my state :P inteligent Serbs :D

  • he was/is a great man

  • put a saw-blade in!

  • evil scientist.

  • He said that he developed the induction motor in 1882 just in his 1915 autobiography. No document, public demonstration or models prove it, just his own words. Tesla wrote it just to show that he developed the idea before Galileo Ferraris who gave public demonstration in 1885 (models still exist) and who always refused to patent his inventions. Tesla just by claiming obtain the paternity of inventions: and someone even say that he was persecuted by the establishment !!!

  • @Caleidus That is still a statement not a proof. You dismiss that Tesla started developing induction motor starting in 1882 with out proof, you just say it: "that it is not true" and we should believe you? You can hate all you like but there is no proof of what you are saying. I guess you would argue that Tesla did not help in invention of radio, Tesla coil, fluorescent light, wireless transmission of electrical energy, remote control, Tesla's turbines and many more things?

  • @CrazyAjvar Tesla stated that he invented induction motor in 1882 in his 1915 autobiography and just to show that he pre-dated Ferraris. Give me a piece of paper and I can u descibe how an induction motors works in just 20 seconds. Tesla was obsessed with being the 1st one and if had already invented AC motor in 1882 he would have surely pubblished a paper or patented it or given a public demonstration. Nothing of that happened. Tesla just lied and copied Ferraris.U're not a nice guy Nikola

  • @CrazyAjvar @Caleidus The glow retreats, done is the day of toil;

    It yonder hastes, new fields of life exploring;

Ah, that no wing can lift me from the soil

Upon its track to follow, follow soaring!

Nikola Tesla caused earthquakes in Alaska in 1899 after causing earthquakes in Manhattan so saith The Lord God. You better have this ear. Man made earthquakes. The hour is here. -Biblical Prophet

  • I'm wondering if Tesla invented first the pills from the movie limitless LOL

    one of the greatest ever

  • This is way better than newscientistvideo!

  • thats how the earth gona flip way slower of course

  • Great video ! More Tesla tech in videos "Tesla cold electricity" by HorizonDelta

  • put a razor blade in it and try to catch it xD

  • He is the greatest Serb that ever lived. His genious is immortal sadly he lacked the funding to build more of his ideas. He has revolutionaised and brouth the light to the world.

  • How about cutting out a metal propeller from a (steel) tin can. When it rotates, would it lift up and "hover?"

  • @themanyone if light enough

  • the gratest inwentor of all time....GRETINGS FROM SERBIA...

  • I saw that in Tesla museum in Belgrade Serbia.I hear that J.P Morgan dont want to invest in Tesla wireless tehnology (expiriment Colorado springs USA) because that tehnology is free.

  • @Mikele22000 ... well ..it is free from the big wires manteinance .. but still.. you need water plant or any other plant to produce energy. The apparent problem with the government was that it didn't know how to charge the people for this service.. because apparently you can get the corrent anywhere outside your eletricity meter. PS: instead of this excuse they coud charge people with an honest yearly elctricity tax.. but petroldollar nasty people DON'T WANT IT . GUESS WHY..

  • I am Nikola Tesla

  • I wonder what would happen if you put a ferrous liquid in there.

  • We need to free our minds. Tesla's genius has been surpressed for so long. We will never progress until we rid ourselves of human greed.

  • Beautiful rotating magnetic field. I think about rotating electric field just now, with high voltage. Air can rotate and flying machine will be possible. My web pages: "Nikola Tesla and My Thoughts" (google it) has lot of interesting ideas like Tesla's combustion engine, Energy of space, Flying machine, Magnetic linear movement, Plasma on aluminum in water, Quantization of gravitation, Tesla's energy transmitter, Tesla's style windmill and other interesting stuff.

  • just the job, wish i had one.. what it for?

  • and what is the use of that invention?

  • tesla probably had one

  • To show the principles of the rotating magnetic field and the induction motor.

  • It was a joke, it's obvious it has an use, even though minds like the mine can't understand :)

  • @UnaBellota you have mind like mime

  • @kenny8331 Ohhh thanks!!!!!!!!!, this is a liberation, hehehe

  • I wish to have something lika that at home.

  • did you guys ever hear the story tesla told about this, it was like how do you get a egg to spin on its end, and no one could figure it out, so tesla introduced the egg of columbus and impressed a ton of people!

  • Tesla was the greatest man ever

  • @darkorunek TESLA MADE THE SEPTEMBER 1899 CAPE YAKATAGA AND YAKUTAT BAY EARTHQUAKES FROM COLORADO SPRINGS.

    September 3, 1899

    September 6, 1899

    September 9, 1899

  • @darkorunek Serbian also! Im proud of him and of Serbia! :)

  • so the turning effect is because of the a.c. current and the spiral-like shape of the solenoid???

  • It's a 3 phase motor which creates a spinning magnetic field. This moving field induces eddy currents in the object that drags it around with the field (slightly slower actually).

It's exactly the same principle as induction motors, which Tesla invented.

  • @wolfekeeper Tesla didn't invent induction motors. Galileo Ferraris invented it, but all the merits went to Tesla. Tesla is just the most overrated science in history. Most of the inventions attributed to him were developed by others.

  • @Caleidus Overrated? hardly anyone knows about him you idiot.

  • @restlesspride666 Maybe I'm an idiot but you're surely an ignorant !! Galileo Ferraris invented AC motors and put the theoretical basis for studying the way electrical machines work. All the theories, equations and symbolism that every student of electrical engineering around the world see when opens a book of electrical machine comes from the work of Prof. Galileo Ferraris. Tesla got the paternity of induction motor just because he got american citizenship. The empire always rules !!!

  • @Caleidus Except that Tesla developed his induction motor starting in 1882 and got his patents on 1888, whereas Ferraris was just starting his research in 1888. They developed the same thing, but Tesla got to it first.

  • @Caleidus This is most laughable statement I ever saw. "Tesla is just the most overrated scientist in history". Do you even know what kind of ridicules that is? No he is one of the most underrated scientists in history, with out his work the world would stop working. Tesla is the father of modern world, he was used as much as it was profitable and than discarded and ridiculed at the end if his life, and now I see that Edison did his job well since even today there are people like you.

  • @CrazyAjvar Tell me what did Tesla invent, please surprise me. Tell me why he should be considered the most important scientist in the history of humanity. Remember me a Tesla theorem or formula or something that he invented from nothing instead of being just a development that he took from someone else or just a "claim" (Tesla's speciality) or worst something that he stole from another scientist. There are thousand of unknown scientists who deserve more attention than him....

  • @Caleidus Than tell me why is Edison considered great scientist? We have concrete evidence that most of his inventions were stolen but still we hear abut Edison anywhere? You are the first man I saw saying things like Tesla stole other people work. I saw no evidence of it. From what you said, you should prove me your claims. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof.

  • @CrazyAjvar Antonio Pacinotti's article in "Nuovo Cimento" of May 3, 1865 announced that in 1863 he had produced a dynamo with a ring wound armature that could produce electricity and also run as a motor. This was the forerunner of the Gramme dynamo in 1871. In earlier work (1860) he announced the production of high voltage and high frequency using a transformer, arc, capacitor and coil. This was the forerunner of the Tesla coil in 1891. By James Farol Metcalf, "Electric history"

  • @CrazyAjvar In 1885 Galileo Ferraris demonstrated in public that he had produced polyphase alternating current using a rotary magnetic device. That same year a line was constructed by the Ganz group in Cerchi, Italy to Rome that became the first system to transmit 150 horsepower at 2,000 volts of alternating current over a distance of seventeen miles.

Photos of the early large Tesla motors at the Hagley Museum and Library are remarkably similar to the Ferraris models. by J. F. Metcalf
