  • ok i have an app on my iphone that adds kool effects on ur recorded voice and theres an option for reverse, which plays everything backwards that u recorded. Guess where im goin with this, yes it says : Come back tonight,,, My sweet Satan,,, I See. So start arguing.

  • @jasono921 I don't believe in any religious shit :)

Good luck with your red imaginary friend

  • beautiful <3

  • Masterpiece.

  • If people would get their heads out of their asses and see death metal is not satanic more people may listen to it. Hell more people may listen to it after listening to opeth, these guys are great.

  • i can see how they drew inspiration from repentance from dream theater in this song. very similar. both are awesome songs

  • The opening of this song is so god damned beautiful it physically affects me to hear it

  • 05:19

    "The light comes on

The signal for us to end our lives

You wait beneath the white sheets and you wait forever

    The night comes on

Your weakness starting to erase all your lies

    So I left you alone

    We all left you alone"

    umph!!!!

  • eargasm at its best!!!!!

  • Opeth's greatest song. Just pure sonic sex.

  • such a sad song, but stil a wonderful piece of art

  • mikeal akerfeldt has a mechanical heart, his real one is inside his guitar.

  • @LyricsOf1ndricothere Before I heard Opeth I thought it was impossible: But Mikael posesses two hearts, one in his body and one in his guitar.

  • @LyricsArFun is he a time lord? :D

  • @luckyluke193 that and much more. he can bend time and create entire solar systems with a single epic solo.

  • no words, just many feelings !!

  • The fade out at the end... sends shivers down my spine every time!

  • @OtakuKing29 They can go die in a fire.

  • I wish I could compose like this. Genious.

  • For all the 'growl haters,' If you dont like it thats fine. 15 years ago I didnt like growls either. Then I realized something pretty simple, vocals are NOTHING more than another musical instrument. If Opeth can expertly write 10 minute epics that smoothly transition from metal, to folk, to blues, jazz, and any number of culturally inspired passages then why wouldnt the vocals reflect that as well? Every album is different, and every one is an absolute masterpiece. I wouldnt change a thing!

  • @AshenArtist82 Last year I was scared of this kind of music. Then I heard Opeth.

  • 1:46 is beautiful

3:48 is awe inspiring and very powerful

    6:04 the beast of riffs

    7:18 is good too

  • @Turbulence654321 omg, SO agree with you on all of it but especially 6:04 being the beast of riffs.. when i bought the cd and listened to this song for the first time and heard that riff, my toes curled and i reversed it over and over... it took my breath away and sealed the deal of hessian peel being my absolute favorite track on the album. i'm glad i'm not the only one. :)

  • Simply the most powerful, emotionally driven song I have ever heard. BRUTAL, SCARY GOOD.

  • love the last little ending part too

  • why is everyone saying "wouldve been better without the growls. why did he ruin it with the growls? the musics good, but the growls are just too much." you guys, out of all the diversities opeth displays in their music (which is a shitload of diversities), i personally think the singing to growling and acoustic to heavy passages are the most important of all.plus, mikael arkfelt is a damn good death vocalist, and hes got a reason to show it off. i praise these guys for still keeping their roots

  • I think the growl was perfect in this song. I would dispense the growl in others, but not in this.

  • best riffs in my life at @07:18...

  • Best track on Watershed

  • I. LOVE. OPETH.

  • I personally thought the growl was so suprising-- ly awesome. I almost had a suprise eargasm....

  • Wonderful song. Such a shame all the people we never get to meet in life or are only given a few years with them because they didn't think they were worth it. I'm sure we all know at _least_ one person who decided not to stay. Look I'm not saying you *must* seek help; if your life sucks it sucks I won't judge. There's millions of others who can do whatever it is you did better than you- but for fucks sake please at least leave a note saying why, you owe that much to your friends and family.

  • @Katomaku What are you talking about? lol.

  • @Katomaku too much drugs?

  • even without the lyrics its damn good, damn damn good..the music is like present life seen in black and white...but the growl should have been left out..

  • excelente tema...

  • The two riffs starting at 6:03 - 6:57 are so awesome.

  • shame the faggot who disliked this

  • good song

  • I disliked this video ;/

  • @truthwillbetoldjig Poor kitten lacked attention as a child?

  • YOUR CONCERN - THE SIGNAL FOR US TO END OUR LIVES...

This part makes me freak out! It's damn awesome.

  • zero dislikes, just as it should be.

  • i really like opeth's music but why do they have to grunt... :( it would have been som much better without it

  • @sigimaster14 u mean the scream singing? i personally like it, sing like an angel and yell like a devil. if it wasn't there, then this wouldnt be progressive death metal, would it (which is what they were going for)?

  • @sigimaster14 With time, you'll accept it and even like the growls.

  • @sigimaster14 Nope, and its not even a matter of taste. Just keep listening to grunting and you will learn to like it. I thought it was retarded at first but look at me now: Im actually doing growling vocals in my band and through practice i have gotten to be pretty diverse too.

  • @sigimaster14 I felt the same way at one point, but now I absolutely love it. It fits the music well and their placement of everything is outstanding. With time, you'll love it and realise that it makes the music BETTER than it would have been without. Just don't give up on them. :)

  • @MrTestMusic Nice comment, im trying to appreciate them but it is still hard, thats why I like Hex Omega, not a lot of growls but such a brutal piece of music. :)

  • One of The Best songs of Opeth...

  • 0 People are retarded!!!!!!

  • @Masterboychris finaly :D

  • @Masterboychris Nice one haha

  • Was that a boner?

  • New favorite Opeth song and I just bought this album yesterday... so beautiful, yet brutal.

  • their best song

  • 1:38-1:45 made my hair stand up on end when I first heard it. Creepy.

  • god this song makes me jizz every time i hear is!!!! thumbs up if u agree!!

  • @sng51950 I agree ^^

  • Que canción! u.u

  • The change from the acoustic guitar to the piano section at 4:46 almost drives you to tears... then the heavy section following just throws you about the room!

  • the progression-style of opeth is marvellous; and so is this song: chilling and mindblowing

  • 6:05 AMAZING RIFF!!! MY NECK IS GONNA HURT TOMORROW

  • Akerfeldt is THE most versatile singer in metal. Period!

  • Groovy.

  • 11 mins of pure genius! Thanks for putting this up!

  • too good to be real actually.......that's opeth

  • Such a fucking amazing song, Jesus H. Christ what a good song!
