@DonStirFrye Ok Don, I'll bite. Tom sent me his last fight and I put up. I can assure you that Tom was never told of a fix of any sort. Wes Simms called Tom up for this fight with only a couple weeks notice. Tom IS a jiu jitsu fighter and not a striker by nature (as can be seen by the fight after this one and his first one which is on You tube as well). Who is his opponent? @DonStirFrye Like happened to you on the UG "removed comment for fighter bashing" a hater like you are hardly worth a response. Had this been in any legit MMA promotion, this would have been a DQ. Spiking is illegal. Moves like piledrivers, and DDTs, or any move where you drive down directly on the top/crown of the head is illegal. Powerbombs are borderline illegal, but it's been decided that since you land on your upperback mostly, and the momentum smacks your head into the canvas it's legal.
i love WWF wrestling moves in MMA but I'm told DDT counts as a spike and is illegal obviously in the video this is unintentional...Im still waiting for MMA's first stone cold stunner
This is exactly how Jake Roberts invented the DDT: accidentally. He had his opponent in a front facelock, slipped, fell backwards, and rammed his opponent's head into the mat for a legit KO.
@MobiusCoin ohh that move is very real no question its scripted but regardless of its predetermined nature if not executed carefully it can be deadly
I love how the Ref. doesn't even notice, and even when the guy is like "Hey, aren't you working right now?" he still slowly wanders over. "Ohhh yeaa, I guess he is knocked out, good call man. Ok, fights over right? Yea it's over guy who's awake wins!"
For those of you who don't know what DDT is or never watched pro wrestling. DDT is a moveset that requires a person grabs his opponent in a front headlock, then with the options of jumping and spike an opponent's head into the canvas.
This is very dangerous and has resulted deaths in pro wrestling as well as MMA trainings.
It can also be considered a variation of piledriver, usually a MMA fighter who uses this in a match will automatically be disqualified.
Thats not even an actual DDT, it looks a lot more like a guillitone choke and the guy tried to bring the fight down to choke him out. Just so happens he smacks his head very hard off the ring and ko'ed...thats what it looks like to me imo
@padawon88 brock didnt use wrestling moves 2 win his matches. he layed on top of guys n did ground n pound. he won cause they he layed 270 plus pounds across there whole body. dont speak if u dont know the truth n yes i know every possible wrestling move. been watchin it over 15 years.
Nice fights. Too be fair, though, Gavrilos' opponent in the first fight had no sub defense or even much of any kind of ground defense. Of course Gavrilos' skill is what allowed him to exploit this. And the big dude, well I bet he wishes he had a "do over" but it probably would have ended up in him being submitted just the same
I went for a takedown on our 4 time all American wrestler and didnt keep my head up and got DDT'd. Wasn't knocked out, but not a fun thing to endure. Good job, Tom.
i think you twisting up the facts to suit your cause buddy. Tom had a total of one fight before he fought you and never did any amatuer bouts. You make it sound like he was 14-0. He wasn't. He was just better than you that night. As for the redneck, again you facts are skewed big time. The only thing shady is that Tom had to fight twice that night. His fight was certainly no work. He stepped up that nite for a freak show fight and won by dropping that dope on his head.
ahh whats up tom o our fight was real damn real and bro honestly i shouldnt have had that fight with you when we did i never knew you where pro till after you and i talked yes you did win it happens bro o well damn good fight sorry im telln the truth bout the fight with you and red you know just like all of us it was a job mike made it and you two where the fighters hell i was gonna do it but he gave it to you cause your first fight was fast

@twistidsoldier84 how could you not know he is pro cause its illegal for a pro to fight a amateur and if it did happen, than i have no respect for tom whatsoever. so someone is lying or has people with the org you fought with too let that shit happen. tom looked a lil better than most amateurs i figured he might be a pro rookie but nonetheless, if a pro fought a rookie. the pro should be banned from cagefighting
sprawl no man i am gonna spike his head into the ground lol still really good for a guy a lot bigger than him all that weight crashing on his head with the spikers weight as well that is a real ko
@evilmidget Actually that is WHY MMA became illegal in several states and WHY the former owners went bankrupt because no one wanted to see 250 pound Dan Severn lie on 170 pound Royce Gracie for 40 minutes straight. MMA became popular when Dana White and those guys took over the UFC and changed all that along with the PRIDE organization.
Great job, Tom. As for the "Red Neck" fellow, It just goes to show how skill, knowledge, good training, and proper fitness almost always dominates an untrained fighter. Any one who sees how Jake Roberts performed a DDT in the old NWA days has to appreciate this. Jake delivered the move in such a way that he could seriously hurt his opponent.
Jake would cinch up on the neck, kick his opponents lead leg, and drop it with a lot of force; I doubt that too many guys on the receiving end of early Jake Roberts DDTs felt good afterwards.
Nowadays, pro wrestlers do the move much more safely than Jake did it.
This is in the tradition of the old school DDT, cool.
It was not a choke by any means, and it also looks very suspicious - a move like that that would KO by the cervical lock would probably cripple the other guy.
He didn't hit the head on the floor or anything, his head was protected by the arm of the winner... just weird. Dunno if I buy it was not set up.
@Sagramorbald This is the funny thing about perceptions, the internet, video and fighting. I know Tom very well and this was no set up. He in fact did get knocked out when his head hit the mat (its just a poor camera angle).
@Sagramorbald actually, i would say that when the smaller guy cuffed the neck of the bigger guy, dropped down to the floor, that the impact of landing actually went straight to the bigger guy's neck... i looked at it a bit closer... it looked like he also twisted his neck before landing...
so alot of these 'wrestling' moves you dont actually have to make contact to the ground to f- them up... you just have make sure you land right...
@t1r3no Yeah, but like I said in my first post, is kinda weird that it ended up in a KO without causing severe injury, SINCE it was not a brain movement KO (he never hit the floor with his head), it was suposedly a cervical lock KO.
@Sagramorbald actually, i would say that when the smaller guy cuffed the neck of the bigger guy, dropped down to the floor, that the impact of landing actually went straight to the bigger guy's neck... i looked at it a bit closer... it looked like he also twisted his neck before landing...

Anyone that gives me the "pro wrestling is BS" Speech I show em what a DDT is. That was awesome, and if that knocked em out... Imagine what a textbook DDT would do. Awesome to see that, thanks for posting it
@secti0n31 textbook DDT? a ddt is not a real move in any combat system that i know of so how can there be such a thing as a "textbook" ddt? sure, it knocked him out, but you cud say that about any number of accidental moves. he didnt intentionally try to ddt him, he was going for an anaconda. stop coming off like pro wrestling moves actually work cuz they dont.
@luchador1764 I'm just sayin, if he had actually popped the DDT while he had a guy in a the side headlock, it would have been even worse. You're right, and it was a mistake, He had the guy in a headlock and fell on his ass, and it looked a whole lot like a DDT. Just because you don't see pro wrestlers getting hurt every match, doesn't mean that a move delivered maliciously can't seriously mess you up.
@luchador1764 actually a ddt is a real move from some old forms of english wrestling like lancashire wrestling and catch wrestling. pro wrestling borrowed many legitmate moves from these systems and adapted them for entertainment. you're that this ddt was accidental though.
@shrederofdoom-- Every contemporary source attributes the DDT to Jake Roberts; he discovered it by accident. Considering the modern kayfabe wrestling evolved from catch wrestling, I doubt they would have missed that one.
@shrederofdoom-- Every contemporary source attributes the DDT to Jake Roberts; considering that kayfabe wrestling evolved from catch wrestling, this should not be a surprise.
Many pro wrestlers are accomplished catch wrestlers; if the DDT came before Jake Roberts, there would be at least one source verifying this.
@luchador1764 all pro wrestling moves all durive from actuall combat or a form of arts. maybe not the high flying moves but the slams n drops do. most u can do in mma. besides ne1s that would spike an opponents head. ken shamrock used belly 2 bell n belly 2 back suplexes in the cage and in the ring
Wow he looks so outta shape, I won't even fight if I wasn't in a peak condition, gotta give it up to my coach, training is a must whether competing or not, only thing that drops is intensity...he's so outta shape
Putting someone in a headlock and dropping them on their head, it's difficult to do in real life, so it's most commonly seen in Staged Wrestling like WWE, TNA IWGP etc.
If I was Tom I would have shit my pants when the ref called it - he does look pretty concerned - all I would be thinking is "damn I don't wanna go to jail for this"...
i bet you could flick that dude on the chin and it would knock him out.damn if that all it takes to knock that dude out then he might as well just quit doin MMA
just another fat fuck too dumb to get a real job. and it wasnt a ddt, it was just a case of a fat dumb fuck falling. you carry that much fat at that height and you can't expect to control your center of gravity when you're already clumsy and poorly trained not just in fighting, but atheletics in general. if you're fighting like these guys why would you step into the ring at any more than 12 percent bodyfat? and more of a muscular build? let alone flailing your fat fuck arms around for a win
First of all, i wasnt trash talking. If you dont know what trash talking is, then dont say someones doing it. It was just funny how This "sensation" got beat by a fat fuck.
You make fucking reviews of shit no one watches!
Second, you act like ur so badass when on your page you say you like to argue on WoW videos. Yup, you're tough.
"It was just funny how This 'sensation' got beat by a fat fuck."
You clearly know nothing about MMA. Being chubby has next to nothing to do with either cardio or submission grappling. It's actually the ultra-buff people with bulging muscles who can't do MMA, as they gas out way too quickly with the long 5 minute MMA rounds, their muscles can't get enough oxygen. Roy Nelson may not look like much, but he's been in dozens of MMA bouts and held the IFL HW belt, he's no beginner.
Just look at the best MMA fighter in the history of the sport, Fedor Emelyanenko. He looks unassuming, a bit chubby, etc. But he has amazing cardio and strength all the same, and above all what you need to win in MMA is an incredibly strong mind. Mental focus is what wins an MMA bout 8 times out of 10, it's no coincidence that the best fighter has a deathly calm about him while he fights.
Fedor is the least underrated MMA fighter: the most elusive fighter in the history of MMA, taken less strikes per minute than everyone else, including Anderson Silva; 7-0 against former UFC champs (Lesnar is 2-1); has fought 2.5 times the level of competition compared to Brock during their last 5 bouts; has finished more fights in the first round than any UFC champion; has fought more times per year (3.5/yr) during his career than all current UFC champions.
@NineInchSamusAran he is the most over-rated. he hasnt fought any reall fighters in the top 10 hw since 2005. and that is a fact. fedor is an amazing fighter. but he hasnt fought the best. he has 2 face mir, dos santos, lesnar, velasquez, coutoure and a few others be4 he is the top hw of all time
Do you see any fat campion in the UFC? no. You see the hulk (lol, in the heavyweights at least). I clearly know nothing? Dude, i would fucking beat your ass. Know why fat people can't run? Cause they gas out after 30 seconds. If that FAT FUCK can beat Kimbo, he shouldn't be in UFC anyway.
Of course. If you're talking very flabby then that's mostly just heavyweights, sometimes LHW, as the lighter weight classes simply can't have that much weight on them. Flabby UFC champs include Tim Sylvia, Ricco Rodriguez, Chuck Liddell, Josh Barnett and Frank Mir. All severely flabby in their respective weight classes, all winning UFC championships.
Sure those guys aren't super skinny, but none of them have flab except tim sylvia. If the others guys are flabby you have some damn high standards for weight lol.
I don't go around calling anyone flabby, I could care less what people weigh. I was responding to wims09 who says that all people with weight have no cardio, which is wrong and retarded. Weight and cardio do not relate.
The UFC champs I listed all have large flabby bellies. I see nothing wrong with this, and they're all fit individuals with good cardio.
You have never met me and know nothing about me. But whether or not you could 'beat my ass' in real life has nothing at all to do with an argument on YouTube. You don't get out much, do you?
"Know why fat people can't run?"
Lots of fat people can run, including Roy Nelson. He has gassed less in his fights than everyone else in the season. Flab does not relate to cardio.
It is musclebound people who gas out quickly, as muscle cells are what require oxygen, not fat cells. Cardio is a measurement of lung capacity, which is gained through long-term reduced oxygen intake (altitude, holding your breath swimming, etc.), or exercise that makes you breathe heavily.
Again to clarify, cardio is a measurement of lung ability. Percentage of body fat has no bearing on cardio. Heavy muscles reduce cardio substantially.
"Its quite simple really, fat is extra weight. Try running with a 20 kg/40pound weight on ure back."
You are entirely missing how muscles work. Muscles get stronger on an as-needed basis. Astronauts in zero gravity will lose all muscle mass rapidly if they don't spend hours per day of resistance weight training, simply because their body weight isn't there. In the opposite direction when a person weights more, their muscles will be that much stronger as a result, due to the amount they carry.
@NineInchSamusAran well you are wrong. your saying if someone is bigger there muscles are stronger and thats just not true. and technically the worlds strongest man is approx. 185lbs. compared to the 3 to 400 lb men you see in the competition.
A better analogy would be of a person wearing a vest filled with 20 pounds of sand, every day of their life. Within two weeks they would not often notice this extra weight, as their muscles would have grown stronger to compensate for it. Within a month, completely oblivious to them, including when they go out running.
Muscles only provide what a person needs. A larger person requires more muscles for the same amount of activity, so they receive more muscles than the smaller person.
You move like a rubber band.

It was not a choke by any means, and it also looks very suspicious - a move like that that would KO by the cervical lock would probably cripple the other guy.
He didn't hit the head on the floor or anything, his head was protected by the arm of the winner... just weird. Dunno if I buy it was not set up.
Sagramorbald 1 year ago
@Sagramorbald This is the funny thing about perceptions, the internet, video and fighting. I know Tom very well and this was no set up. He in fact did get knocked out when his head hit the mat (its just a poor camera angle).
Submissions101 1 year ago
@Sagramorbald There have been inadvertent moves like this in both Pride and the UFC. I doubt anyone would call them suspect.

@Sagramorbald why would they set up a cage just to stage a 30 second clip on youtube
killgore2100 1 year ago
@Sagramorbald actually, i would say that when the smaller guy cuffed the neck of the bigger guy, dropped down to the floor, that the impact of landing actually went straight to the bigger guy's neck... i looked at it a bit closer... it looked like he also twisted his neck before landing...
so alot of these 'wrestling' moves you dont actually have to make contact to the ground to f- them up... you just have make sure you land right...
you know what im saying?
t1r3no 1 year ago
@t1r3no Yeah, but like I said in my first post, is kinda weird that it ended up in a KO without causing severe injury, SINCE it was not a brain movement KO (he never hit the floor with his head), it was suposedly a cervical lock KO.
Yet I was not there, I cannot say for sure.

Anyone that gives me the "pro wrestling is BS" Speech I show em what a DDT is. That was awesome, and if that knocked em out... Imagine what a textbook DDT would do. Awesome to see that, thanks for posting it
secti0n31 1 year ago
@secti0n31 textbook DDT? a ddt is not a real move in any combat system that i know of so how can there be such a thing as a "textbook" ddt? sure, it knocked him out, but you cud say that about any number of accidental moves. he didnt intentionally try to ddt him, he was going for an anaconda. stop coming off like pro wrestling moves actually work cuz they dont.
luchador1764 1 year ago
@luchador1764 I'm just sayin, if he had actually popped the DDT while he had a guy in a the side headlock, it would have been even worse. You're right, and it was a mistake, He had the guy in a headlock and fell on his ass, and it looked a whole lot like a DDT. Just because you don't see pro wrestlers getting hurt every match, doesn't mean that a move delivered maliciously can't seriously mess you up.
secti0n31 1 year ago
@luchador1764 actually a ddt is a real move from some old forms of english wrestling like lancashire wrestling and catch wrestling. pro wrestling borrowed many legitmate moves from these systems and adapted them for entertainment. you're that this ddt was accidental though.
shrederofdoom 1 year ago
@shrederofdoom-- Every contemporary source attributes the DDT to Jake Roberts; he discovered it by accident. Considering the modern kayfabe wrestling evolved from catch wrestling, I doubt they would have missed that one.
MAJS444 1 year ago
@shrederofdoom-- Every contemporary source attributes the DDT to Jake Roberts; considering that kayfabe wrestling evolved from catch wrestling, this should not be a surprise.
Many pro wrestlers are accomplished catch wrestlers; if the DDT came before Jake Roberts, there would be at least one source verifying this.
There are none. Jake Roberts did invent the DDT.
MAJS444 1 year ago
@luchador1764 all pro wrestling moves all durive from actuall combat or a form of arts. maybe not the high flying moves but the slams n drops do. most u can do in mma. besides ne1s that would spike an opponents head. ken shamrock used belly 2 bell n belly 2 back suplexes in the cage and in the ring

Putting someone in a headlock and dropping them on their head, it's difficult to do in real life, so it's most commonly seen in Staged Wrestling like WWE, TNA IWGP etc.

just another fat fuck too dumb to get a real job. and it wasnt a ddt, it was just a case of a fat dumb fuck falling. you carry that much fat at that height and you can't expect to control your center of gravity when you're already clumsy and poorly trained not just in fighting, but atheletics in general. if you're fighting like these guys why would you step into the ring at any more than 12 percent bodyfat? and more of a muscular build? let alone flailing your fat fuck arms around for a win

wims09 2 years ago
"It was just funny how This 'sensation' got beat by a fat fuck."
You clearly know nothing about MMA. Being chubby has next to nothing to do with either cardio or submission grappling. It's actually the ultra-buff people with bulging muscles who can't do MMA, as they gas out way too quickly with the long 5 minute MMA rounds, their muscles can't get enough oxygen. Roy Nelson may not look like much, but he's been in dozens of MMA bouts and held the IFL HW belt, he's no beginner.
NineInchSamusAran 2 years ago
Just look at the best MMA fighter in the history of the sport, Fedor Emelyanenko. He looks unassuming, a bit chubby, etc. But he has amazing cardio and strength all the same, and above all what you need to win in MMA is an incredibly strong mind. Mental focus is what wins an MMA bout 8 times out of 10, it's no coincidence that the best fighter has a deathly calm about him while he fights.
NineInchSamusAran 2 years ago
Fedor isnt that good. A bit overrated. I'm sure he's better than 50% of the people in the UFC, but Brock Lesnar would still kick his ass.
wims09 2 years ago
Fedor is the least underrated MMA fighter: the most elusive fighter in the history of MMA, taken less strikes per minute than everyone else, including Anderson Silva; 7-0 against former UFC champs (Lesnar is 2-1); has fought 2.5 times the level of competition compared to Brock during their last 5 bouts; has finished more fights in the first round than any UFC champion; has fought more times per year (3.5/yr) during his career than all current UFC champions.
Reality disagrees with your opinion.

I like how you reply with pure facts that can't be denied unless you're a brainwashed moron :)
Cheers

laokon 2 years ago
@NineInchSamusAran he is the most over-rated. he hasnt fought any reall fighters in the top 10 hw since 2005. and that is a fact. fedor is an amazing fighter. but he hasnt fought the best. he has 2 face mir, dos santos, lesnar, velasquez, coutoure and a few others be4 he is the top hw of all time
babyface0514 1 year ago
Do you see any fat campion in the UFC? no. You see the hulk (lol, in the heavyweights at least). I clearly know nothing? Dude, i would fucking beat your ass. Know why fat people can't run? Cause they gas out after 30 seconds. If that FAT FUCK can beat Kimbo, he shouldn't be in UFC anyway.
wims09 2 years ago
"Do you see any fat campion in the UFC?"
So your argument failed. Try again?
NineInchSamusAran 2 years ago
Sure those guys aren't super skinny, but none of them have flab except tim sylvia. If the others guys are flabby you have some damn high standards for weight lol.
SeagullPuncher 2 years ago
I don't go around calling anyone flabby, I could care less what people weigh. I was responding to wims09 who says that all people with weight have no cardio, which is wrong and retarded. Weight and cardio do not relate.
The UFC champs I listed all have large flabby bellies. I see nothing wrong with this, and they're all fit individuals with good cardio.
NineInchSamusAran 2 years ago
@NineInchSamusAran yes they do so relate. why would make such an uneducated statement?
MediaMisDirected 2 years ago
That`s a good point..I think Fedor is the perfect example of this.He has nothing resembling a leean sculpted frame but he is always in great shape
lipple21 2 years ago
@NineInchSamusAran roy nelson was the hw champ at IFL actually n roy has amazing cardio, especially for his size.
babyface0514 1 year ago
"Dude, i would fucking beat your ass."
NineInchSamusAran 2 years ago
ok dude, this is turning out pretty gay. see ya. have a nice life
wims09 2 years ago
"Cause they gas out after 30 seconds."
Wrong again.
NineInchSamusAran 2 years ago
Although most things you write about muscle and oxygen are correct, its not true that fat wont affect ure cardio.
Its quite simple really, fat is extra weight. Try running with a 20 kg/40pound weight on ure back.
That being said, i agree fat ppl can have incredible cardio! It would have been even better without the fat though...
Peace.
Seishiro123 2 years ago
"Its quite simple really, fat is extra weight. Try running with a 20 kg/40pound weight on ure back."
You are entirely missing how muscles work. Muscles get stronger on an as-needed basis. Astronauts in zero gravity will lose all muscle mass rapidly if they don't spend hours per day of resistance weight training, simply because their body weight isn't there. In the opposite direction when a person weights more, their muscles will be that much stronger as a result, due to the amount they carry.
NineInchSamusAran 2 years ago
@NineInchSamusAran well you are wrong. your saying if someone is bigger there muscles are stronger and thats just not true. and technically the worlds strongest man is approx. 185lbs. compared to the 3 to 400 lb men you see in the competition.
babyface0514 1 year ago
A better analogy would be of a person wearing a vest filled with 20 pounds of sand, every day of their life. Within two weeks they would not often notice this extra weight, as their muscles would have grown stronger to compensate for it. Within a month, completely oblivious to them, including when they go out running.
Muscles only provide what a person needs. A larger person requires more muscles for the same amount of activity, so they receive more muscles than the smaller person.
