  • but can you do it like in saints row 3 ???

  • Called ODST

  • dont bitch about your taxes what would you be saying if they are trying to perfect those suits so they can halo jump in to battle at night so the planes dont get detected on recordes

  • Don't bitch about this man wasting tax money. Since he's sacrifices a Hell of a lot more than the 99% of you sloppy faggots on here anyways. Eat shit and go do something worth telling somebody. Dock out.

  • I, along with my fellow UAW Local 148 Union brothers and sisters, built the C-17 you jumped out of.

  • A Youtube video about a wing-suit jump is definitely the time and place to have a serious discussion about the role of the US military in world and domestic politics.

  • so cool!

  • First the flight. It was routine in most respects.

Second the jump. Thin atmosphere at 35,000 feet. The average untrained individual undertaking a jump like this without proper support would pass out in a few seconds. Jumping through clouds is just plain dumb.

As for taxes. There may be better uses, but there are certainly worse.

People find it easy to bitch about this single mission, yet they never think twice about the same individuals sacrifices leading up to this opportunity.

  • @plchacker Jumping through clouds might be dumb but sometimes you just cant avoid them. then its cool as hell. Besides there are no clouds in skydiving.......Its all just "industrial haze"

    -Blue Skies-

  • My God, you guys just HAVE to make this all formal eh?

  • So I can be sent to jail and taken away from my family who I spent the money on to feed for not paying for his fun time? Tax are a bitch where the hell is my name on the word record lol sike I don't give a damn it is what it is if u wana complain there's a little box on the door or u can waist ya life wit a sign outside some important place that as this video shows don't give a flying fuck lol...I like how I ended that

  • @KoolaidMacRay If you don't wanna pay taxes go to the mountains and keep off wild grizzlys with your shotgun instead of living in a big town...

  • I spent two years in that hole of an Air Force base

  • Quite a lucky guy for having the chance to attempt a world record while on the clock, and proof the military can make a boring video about even the most awesome of events. Spice it up a little Army!

  • Study Major Smedly Bulter's book War is a Racket. The armed forces are the muscle for the corporations. Period. The stunt here is dangerous, but really the bottom line is the money came from who?

  • Honestly, what did this accomplish? To show that "oh, I guess we can jump out of a plane at 35,000 feet with a wing suit". I did the research, and being VERY conservative with prices, the overall cost to do this came out as 96,586,780. 96 million dollars to find out we can jump out of a plane at a few thousand feet.

  • @Smokles3

Is there something seriously wrong with you!

the aircraft is worth $218 million, do you seriously think a government would buy a plane of which one flight costs half the price of the aircraft!

  • @Smokles3 I think you should stop trying to do math...

  • @Smokles3 Just wondering, but if it costs a little under a $1000 to dive from ~15,000 feet, why would it cost 100,000 times more to jump from just over double?

  • I've lost a few IQ points reading some of these bitch rants about tax money being spent... I swear some people have absolutely no sight beyond their fucking noses.

  • @dkrypto911 How is setting world records NOT a waste of tax payers money?

  • @alfredo8837 Tactical advantages. I'll let you ponder that for a bit. The world record was a secondary effect to this.

  • @dkrypto911 No shit that's obvious. But my question still stands "HOW is setting world records not a waste of taxpayer money?" we already have wing suits! we know the advantage and abilities! SO WHY WASTE MONEY TO SET A WORLD RECORD? i dont think you understood the question.

  • @alfredo8837 I don't think you understand they didn't do this SPECIFICALLY to set a world record... and honestly how much tax payer money do you really think this cost them? Don't even bring up gas prices for the plane they were in. They go up daily multiple times a day for training so that's irrelevant.

  • yank army fag.

  • Hats off to you soldier.

  • So, those of you accusing these guys of wasting tax dollars - do so blindly and ignorantly.

You have no idea whether or not this is a waste of money because you don't have an inkling of the scope of this activity.

Please... stop publicizing your own ignorance by attacking something you know nothing about.

  • A C-141 can fly in the airspace of a friendly nation and air-drop a special ops team. If they time it right - which they do - they can be in the dark of night but come down just as nightfall sets in on the landing location in an unfriendly nation. All the while, no-one sees them dropping down in the darkness. But they are seeing the location which still has some sunlight until just before they open chutes.

And that's WITHOUT using one of these wing-suits.

WITH these wing-suits, even more so.

  • ya .just how much of the taxpayers money did this cost.and why the fuck are they trying to break world records ? at the expense of the tax payer..what a waste

  • @agdthatguy People like you are a waste. Why did we even bother to break the sound barrier....Or go to the moon...or even try to fly a plane for that matter. Why don't we all go back to the cave man days. Your mentally already half there:)

  • He knew what he was getting into when he signed up for the service! So doing his job he gets to waste our money????? Bullshit!!!! This is wastefull spending regardless of what this man did!!! So go fuck yourself

  • if only you had a cam with you for all of us to see from the start to the landing!!

  • golden knights <3

  • i dont care what anyone has to say about the tax money... i just want to see the video from his p.o.v.

  • I just like to jump out of planes

  • AIR-F*CKING-BORNE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Drive on Trooper.... and continue to lead the way.

All you whining pansies crying about taxes, take a lesson from a real man. Either do something productive with your life, or move to Afghanistan. There's a lot of cheap real estate there, you know, if you don't mind the goat humpers and bombs.

  • @marflin3 Couldn't have said it better my self:)

  • I expected alot more of this video after seeing "Jeb Corliss' grinding the crack"...but then I remembered when I was in the Army they even turned shooting a rocket propelled grenade into just another tedious and boring day at the range. I should have known better. Thanks goes out to all the real heroes that enlisted and otherwise who put their own lives on the line to serve a boring, tedious, master who serves you nothing but lies. Amen!!! Keep up the good fight brothers and sisters!!!

  • To my fellow Servicemen and woman, don't waste your breath attempting to change someones mind should they choose to be ignorant.

  • This is not a waste of Tax monies. It's a way for the US Military to test covert entry into hostile territory. Flying at 30k+ you look like an airliner flying close to the border of a country. A team can exit and fly into an area covertly to carry on a mission without detection.

    USMC (Ret)

  • poor babys cry cry cry aint doin shit crying on youtube get a life and do something lik those guys and the U.S army does... u sure know how to talk but try to do the walk too.. I l I

    V

  • if you are wasting a lot of time on youtube, you probably file the EZ form and get money back because McDonald's doesn't pay enough to get you into a taxable bracket becasue of your 4 kids and 3 babymommas...

  • @tatonkasmith1 You clearly have no idea how taxation works. The EZ form doesn't imply one is poor; only that they have no need to itemize their deductions (and take only the standard deduction) and they make less than $100k.

And don't you find it ironic that your are ridiculing someone for being on YouTube.

  • You guys cry about paying taxes but this guy sees nothing of this money. A SSG in the united states army on Jump status with Hazardous duty pay gets about 3,000 a month. This guy accomplished a feat that guys twice his salary could ever dream to do. This guy is also a war vet and an outstanding citizen. To be an Army Golden Knight you have to go through a rigorous testing process before you ever get to jump with a team.

  • @ekshowciv The guys cryin about payin taxes probably don't even pay taxes...or vote for that matter.

  • STFU about the tax payer bullshit. you make the world fail

  • I want a military full of dudes in wingsuits, keep taxing me!

  • Any of you assholes complaining about tax payers paying for something not needed, ever think that the flight was also used for pilot training?

  • "thought his eyes were playing tricks on him"? Yeah right, I bet he was just really drunk haha.

  • You can keep talking about how much money taxpayers spend, but in all honesty. Not a damn thing you say or do will not change how the military decides to blow your money. So go choke on a dick.

  • Comment removed

  • @sanfranciscobay and have you ever thought if you used the $100 000 on homless people that would mean less service men and do you know what that means you could loose a war then you would all be homeless idiot

  • @sanfranciscobay why should you challenge a flight mission, this mission also helps the spec ops to engineer new ways for deployment. Why don't you as a Ca. tax payer start about Gov. Brown's DREAM Act which is going to cost 65 MILLION DOLLARS, why don't you complain about the 1.5 BILLION DOLLARS it cost us so that ILLEGALS get free medical, why don't you complain about AMERICANS who have no medical and get screwed, why don't you complain about next to free housing for ILLEGALS.

  • I honestly wish all the Military proponents would stop behaving as if the USA military does everything right. Not so, and if you are Military you should be well aware of this fact. It certainly is an achievement to Wing Sail that distance, but did we need a C class troop lifter sent up to accomplish that goal?

  • @ricomon35 Setting a World Record for publicity isn't even a wise use the budget for this unit! Now, please all of you boys have at me for saying something against our wonderful Armed Forces. Go ahead you know you want to.Won't hurt my feelings, really

  • haha who really follows the FAA rules while doing a wing suit jump???

  • I'll keep payin taxes; right now we are #1 military force in the world and the citizens are very well armed. Maybe these wing suit guys will intercept incoming nukes and steer them into the ocean.

  • @steelmesh yay! human flare!!!!

  • LEROY JENKINS!

  • @JohnDrew GO ARMY. This is easier to explain than the POTUS flighting haft way around the world (or close to it.) to play golf.

  • Naked Snake: Eat your heart out

  • That world record now belongs to our u.s. miltary im cool w payin for that. im not gunna bitch or complain. i think its sick as fuck and if i got the chance id use everyones tax dollars to do it too. i wouldnt give the slightest shit what anybody thought or said to me.

I'd interupt and be like "WORLD RECORD BITCH! " and walk away

  • Quit bitching about the cost indeed. Your tax dollars all $4426 that I make a month from VA disability and SSDI is what you should bitch about. And the $18,211 SSDI and $11,364 back pay I recieved. Bitch about that! Lmao. Now get back to fucking work. That 2012 SRT8 I ordered will need gas!

  • Looks like you're flying with flocking speed... so slow.

  • what a beautiful country! If your broke and homeless just join the armed forces and jump out of planes. I will continue to pay taxes for that

  • Quit bitchin' about the cost. My guess is that it cost less for this training, than to keep a lay about with six kids and no husband on welfare for a year.

  • can you atleast show some excitement, that was kooooollll!!!

  • Stop crying about your tax money faggots

  • Join the Armed Forces and YOU TOO DO THIS on a regular basis. 0077 is you Name Soldier - wing-suit into enemy territory and use your super powers to annihilate all who dare to stand between you and your Masters of big BANKING/BUSINESS interest. Sell sell sell is our only motto and I hope we have sold you the IDEA of what it is like in the Forces!!!

  • @JohnDrew2 First, we as servicemembers PAY TAXES. That's right, everyone, good ol' Uncle Sam taxes our paychecks. Look it up if you don't believe me.

Second, that soldier right there has earned a Combat Infantryman's Badge--google it if you don't know what it is--so what have YOU done for our country, besides pay taxes? That guy took fire from the enemy and now set a world record. On OUR dime.

If you think you're funding BS, move or vote.

  • @vnegron3 I wish I got some sweet medals for doing my job, no offense of course.....

  • Cool.

Those that are complaining about tax dollars need to think about what this can mean for future operations. Covertly inserting SF troops from 10+ miles outside that nation's border is a great mission capability.

Also, those Air Force pilots and crews have a required number of flight hours per month. I'm sure that this flight counted as just a small portion of the flight hours for that crew. I'd prefer they used it doing something like this rather than a 100% empty and useless flight.

  • Its not that stupid.. Now the army knows how far from the war they can drop soldiers. And thats a good thing to know.

  • @elc0n They Military could have easily go online to a skydiving wingsuit forum and asked them the question and saved the taxpayers a lot of money.

  • How was the in flight footage filmed?

  • @Teac027 with cameras. trololol

  • LOL how about thanking the tax payer??

  • i used to be a wingsuit diver , then i took an arrow to the knee

  • Why spend 200k to do something a normal person could do for 5k? The government needs to realize what a common man can do!

  • Im so glad theyre spending my hard earned money on crappy stunts.

  • Oh no, they used tax dollars to do this! Who really cares? Better then being used on bombs

  • thirld world countries your army cant do that, AMERICA FUCK YEAH!!!!!!

  • They are getting a salary, let them provide interesting videos!

  • @escapethedailygrind ...anyway, who of you has the balls to LAUNCH your off a plane ABOVE THE CLOUDS??????????? NONE!

  • @escapethedailygrind [x] Done!

  • The Army’s best, SSG. Ben Borger, another “GK” freefalls from 33K feet and soars for over 6 minutes in freefall to new heights and to a new world record. Borger Travels 11.51 miles in freefall in a wing suit. This is “Army Strong”!

  • For anyone complaining about your "taxes," seriously Shut Up! I mean come on, have some national pride and stop whining about your money. Is that really all you see in an accomplishment this big?

  • @IndieCato uhh yeah

  • @ColdeyLive Haha well I'm sorry you're so immature and short sighted!

  • it is cool,I'm glad that I could supot this from my accout,(taxes)):

  • i can do that, hold my beer

  • nice to see my tax dollars are being spent well.

  • "and uh"

  • NickJC515, is right. I wish everyone who isn't a soldier or Vet would get up, go to a recruiter, serve and then have a better understanding. We can't waste money. Not even allowed to print more than 10 pages from one source....... Only allotted a certain amount of supplies for anything, unless reusable.... Pens, wingsuits and so on. Wasting money...SMH

  • @MDHERBERT2020 I can’t put it so eloquently, but I do agree, if you haven’t served, how dare you criticize our governments and military’s actions’ which they use to protect our great nation! Our great military has won its wars and confrontations from above, the Army’s best, SSG. Ben Borger, a member of the US Army Parachute Team (“Golden Knight”) has manned up to develop new military applications to defend our country and help keep peace on earth, what have you done?

  • @jamco9965 Thank you SSG. Borger for keeping us safe and for your service, and to the rest of the men and women in service around the world as well from all the branches. Happy Holidays to you all.

  • @jamco9965 The U.S. isn't keeping peace on earth dude. I don't understand how you can say that and not kick your self for lying through your teeth. "ARMY STRONG"(mocking voice) I don't doubt you have great skills but having those skills doesn't constitute having great intelligence. I don't know what they feed you soldiers but it sure isn't the truth.

  • so after all of that, there wasnt anyone to pick him up? hahahahahaha

  • @alex9734 That was funny, he went further than was expected! Ha...ha....

  • Cool

  • i could beat that record easy. just need a bunch of dumb asses to lend me their tax dollars.

  • @loccnut don't need tax dollars you need a wingsuit and a plane that can climb that high. good luck and want a video of it.

  • Jeb Corliss is still better

  • K, yeah, because really, a wingsuit mission comprises all of 1 fraction of a fraction of a percentage of military spending. As a tea partier, shove it guys. Let's call this part of the R&R allotment for our armed forces.

  • Its the 97th Air Mobility Wing, Altus is a training base. Im stationed at Altus doing C17 loadmaster qualification. The 58th Airlift Squadron does training missions all the time. Its not just going up wasting money. There are normally two pilots being graded by a pilot instructor, while in the back a fully qualified loadmaster is training a "student load". All this guy did was jumped on the training flight already scheduled for that day. Plus boom operators get practice refueling the C17.

  • go Army!

  • 2:43 ...WTF? He went up instead of down!

  • When it comes to wasting taxpayers resources the Military is the best that can be. Congress, be sure to cut medicare and resources for normal people so that army pricks can have their fun. No doubt this is vital Empire security priority.

  • mission? or fucking around?

  • @MrWrldpce He was on a scheduled training flight and had to go off their schedule. There is no replacing training pilots and and paratroopers. its mission essential.

  • thats awesome!! i work at a dropzone in davis, ca that does this twice yearly. this past may a jumper broke the record for the 2nd time going about 14 miles in freefall in a wingsuit, jumping from about 30,000 ft. in a PAC750 and reaching about 220mph in freefall.

we also have the pleasure of working with an ex gloden knight Charlie Brown. He is just amazing! every day all of us are just in awe of him. You guys create and train some fantastic athletes!!

  • wow so cool, i'm up for trying that :)

  • final misions in San Andreas xD

  • I'MMM TYUPING THISS WIILE IMN SKKY DIVVING!!

  • Free-Flight for about 7 Minutes. wow.

  • i can see the tactical importance, a suprise atack in the nigt, in five minuts no body see or hear airplane black ,siut nigth vision gogles silencers and than you fuck any terrorist, very nice.

  • ooohh what an important mission: we gonna have some fun setting world records flying in my suit at the expense of taxpayers money. What a fucking joke! No wonder US is neck deep in debt and cant get out of a recession.

  • @rm688 You think the tax payers are paying for this? You fucking dumbass. Get a life you goddamn troll.

  • @hondac55 No you are right its probably santa claus.

  • As a former Marine, I am glad to know the tricks, stunts, records that you do today. Will lead to the missions and ops methods of the future. Well done Army, well done.

  • Fabulous, but who funded the flight and equipment? By chance, was it my tax dollars?

  • @JohnDrew2 yes but the air force flies everyday. this was more than likely a modified training mission

  • @JohnDrew2 Who gives a fuck

  • @roostinu57 people who work for their money do

  • @JohnDrew2

The creator or inventor?"Patrick de Gayardon",a french like me.

For your taxes,I am agree. But it is the same shit here in the Old world.

All of yours taxes came from the middle east, with your crusade against IRAQ or AFGHANISTAN.Open your eyes, the ennemy is inside of country.Like us...

  • @JohnDrew2 Is this a rhetorical question?

  • @JohnDrew2 ...it's a way less intrusive entry into enemy territory than being a sitting duck under a parachute!

  • @JohnDrew2 go fight wars yourself then you greedy bastard

  • @JohnDrew2

Well, dont worry about that flight, Middle East was more expensive ... ^^

  • @JohnDrew2 They are still training. Giving them an objective of a world record simply makes it more enjoyable for them. So stop crying and lighten up.

  • @JohnDrew2 I think, this is better than politicians buying new cars or whatever

  • @JohnDrew2 Yeah because that really matters. I'm sure they bought a brand new wingsuit and HD cameras for this achievement.

  • @JohnDrew2 Must be a registered democrat....

  • The mission? What mission? This was a "mission" to break a world record. It makes me laugh at all the man hours that went into making this jump happen. Maintenance crews configuration the C-17, fuel prices, the damn jet probably landed code 3. But yeah, cool video. Wish the USAF had a jump team so I could screw around all day with a smile on my face. I'm sorry, but this is a ridiculous use of tax money. Jeb Corliss would still own ya. Don't mind, me I'm hating today. I hate acft MX.

  • pause at 0.25

  • haha FAA... they have control over a flying human?

  • @byroncoetsee Yes, skydivers need to follow certain regulations for safety.

  • Not really fair for government, sorry, TAX PAYER money to be used for this record.

  • great use of taxpayer money...

  • @realityengine Yeah, I'm thrilled at where my money is going. Glad to see it's going toward the "mission". hahahahahahahaha..... Military....

  • @realityengine

    Bah, in the roman age

80% of the taxes went to the millitary, a little history there hehe.

  • @realityengine at least, it make sense... :)

  • Jeb Corliss, you'd better get cracking, ok?

  • Going for a distance record and you pull at 3.5k? what the hell, my grandma pulls lower.

  • However cool this is, the guy sounds like the most boring person...He couldn't make it sound less exciting if he tried. Military minds huh.

  • Its ALTUS! Not ALLTUS!

  • yeah nice waste of taxpayers dollars!!!

  • @longpummy You know youre paying for WH officials to buy their cars for "work". Go complain to them first. Senators buy cadillacs at your own expense..I dont mind "wasting" my tax dollars for them to have a little fun.

  • @longpummy not really. The military has been researching and developing wing suits as a method of covert spec ops deployment for some time now.

  • Imagine what Jeb Corliss could do with these kind of resources... I am all about supporting the troops (my brother, father and grandfather are veteran aviators), but their job is defending our country not setting world records... this guy opens his chute at 3,500ft which is monkey business (pussy) compared to what @jebcorliss does. Can't wait till he lands w/o a chute.

  • @scratchresistant you have no idea what you're talking about huh??

  • @TheJackReason distance with a wingsuit is just a formula, you could calculate it about like this: [(Initial altitude - chute deployment altitude) x (~3ft per 1 vertical ft)] + [tail wind x free fall time] = distance traveled.

though to be more accurate you would have to add in a factor for the initial release speed, but that wouldn't matter all that much since you slow/accelerate to terminal velocity, depending on the aircraft you are released from pretty quick.

  • @TheJackReason As you can see the major factor is the release altitude, which can be increased only by more advanced aircraft and breathing oxygen. The only real skill factor is the horizontal ft to vertical ft ratio, but that is also largely dependent on wingsuit design, but even so flying in a straight line is not the most difficult achievement. But yeah, i have no idea what i am talking about

  • @TheJackReason and I apologize for approximating the vertical/horizontal distance ratio, I just had the feeling if I had tried to include the calculus involving gravity versus air pressure I would have just given your statement more validity...

  • @scratchresistant Whuffo!!

  • @scratchresistant Could not agree more, Jeb would poop on this record had my taxes paid for him to do so.

  • great job!!

  • there are too many cowards afraid to serve....I hope your children know how much of a loser you all are....I hope thats your legacy for them..

  • those of you bashing the military and talking about wasting your tax money are a waste of air and need to die. You serve no purpose on this earth. If you are in this country and dont like it...leave bitches...see if you find a better place..Most of you have never even left your home towns.

  • Shinichi Ito broke the record in the Summer of 2011 at Skydance Skydiving in Davis, CA, jumping from a PAC750 at 32,000 feet and covered a distance of over 15 miles. He had a 60+ knot tailwind.

  • Yeah, what a great use of my tax money. Fucking idiots.

  • @futboleroR10 this man is u.s army personell and is respresenting america honorably in a sport. so go watch your golf and thank this man.

  • @PHUCKYOMUDDER92 Representing America? Well way to put shit on shit. You probably don't pay enough taxes to care enough.

  • How much did this cost me?

  • @hombreazu1 this cost you freedom asshole these men are still u.s army personell and they deserve to represent america in competition around the world. because skydiving may not be what you consider a sport doesnt mean it's a waste so take your ass back to your golf videos and thank this man for representing you.

  • im in the army, and i think thats awesome and all, however, no one beats jeb corliss :)

  • Its funny how the army could organize all this, but he had to get a lift back to the base from a local farmer...haha

  • who filmed it???

  • i saw one of the pilots has glasses i heard you can't fly in the military without glasses on a lot of forums. Can you? restrictions?
