Anthony Perkins is a fucking genius, I know that he is supposed to be a spilt personality but its so nonchalant that he himself has killed someone, and starts whistling while he prepares the body. Back then it was probably traumatic what he did when he first started out before Psycho 1 . However this is so damn funny. Its like he knows he is a killer but decides to blame the mother instead, while in the first 1 he couldn't help himself.

The reason she bends over before he hits her is because Norman actually poisoned her tea. It happens just before this clip kicks in. Although it is somewhat comical, it is actually a sad "mercy killing". Norman hits her so that she doesn't die in agony from the poisoning.

That's why you can hear her gagging on the floor.
