first of all GREAT job. ive done this song with a 200 person district choir and its a hard song to do with a small group like yours and still get the feeling and tone that comes with the song. but one small constructive thing. the duet in the middle was great but it was thanks to your great voices and the writting of the piece. it could have been doubled by those two girls if you two had possibly put more thought into the feeling of the duet and the yearning behind it. but again AMAZING JOB.

soloist has great musicality and style, but lacking in base voice, a little rapsy. Oo sounds a little flat. you shouldn't sway back like that when you breath. I like the intamacy in sound during rain, second rain sounds a little like reen, open up more. A little too much alto. more piano will give you somewhere to go, later in the sound. solo is too loud. soprano is a little closed. open up on RAIN! sounds like reain.
Fantastic. The scooping is part of the style of song. Not all choral music is classical. I wish there was a lot more bass because the bass part is so amazing in this song. The tone could be a bit lighter in the women's voices, especially during the solos. It seemed to heavy.
i thought they did a poor job. they were way too slidey. they should have hit the notes more directly. its a CHORAL song not a pop song. your harmonies were really nice though

Matt never taught at Brainerd, he taught at Hopkins, and no. He retired from high school teaching and is directing The Singers, formerly known as the Dale Warland Singers. He's kind of a big deal, haha!

This is really good. My choir did this song for our end of the year concert, and it's definately one of my favorites.
One thing I did notice was that there were places where the pitch was off just a bit.
Other than that, it was fantastic, especially for such a small group. Absolutely beautiful.
