lol I just got my Tablet yesterday but just used it today but the only way I can keep from OVER using it is by watching a bunch of tablet videos ROTFL XD
This is such a turn off with your "screenflow demo" words in the way of everything that you are doing. What are you afraid of? Do you think that anyone wants to rip off a video? Give me a break! This is terrible.
@daj85202 dude...you seriously think I wanted to have it there? It's because the application I use for screen capture is a demo...If I had bought it then it would not be there....but then again, I made this is 2008 so I don't really care anymore...hey, I barely draw anymore :/ So instead of commenting on something I obviously know, you can just type in "wacom tutorial" in youtube's search field and find another tutorial which would help you out just as much :)
I would suggest using HyperCam 3 for desktop recording. The Copyright Logo is very small in the top left of the screen, and it doesn't block things in your work area. Just a suggestion. You're really good with photoshop, this helped quite a bit. :)
Can't you put the copyright thing somewhere else or make it a little smaller?? You're good at photoshop why can't you make it clearish like normal watermarks. This would have been a good video if we could see what you were doing.
@laxstar1996 I can't control the Copyright thing...It's because I used a screenflow demo application so when I exported the video it came with the huge text automatically. This was just a video I made for fun when I was bored 3 years ago :p
this would have been a lot better if you didnt have "SCREEN FLOW DEMO" in big letters in the center of the work the whole time, but was a bit helpful.
@darkraposo The first 30 minutes....yes, but after a while you get used to it and then its very easy...to be honest I dont use it that much, but when I do, Im glad I have one! :D
@KeepitSwag thanks i'm 13 and i'm thinking of buying one for christmas...one more reason to buy it then..thank you..and sorry for the bad english i'm portuguse
Get CamStudio! Look for tutorials on YouTube to get HD CamStudio. I use it. It's really cool! It comes with watermark feature and annotations. Nice drawing! It's awesome. I want to draw stuff like that.
Nice job. You're english was perfectly fine. Thanks for sharing. I really appreciate the time you took to explain the tools, a lot of others don't do it and it is necessary to have these things explained including the error and how you correct them so we know how to handle those same kind of mistakes. Really great job!
Not a bad tutorial. Depending on the project, I often find taking the Photoshop sketch and placing it in Illustrator and using the pen tools in it gives much more control.
@ZoenVisje, select the brush tool from your toolbox. At the upper left-hand corner of your photoshop window, you should see the brush icon denoting width (it's the second icon from the left). Click on the downward-facing arrowhead on the right of that icon, which opens up your current brush presets. In the upper right-hand corner of that window, click the arrowhead in the circle -- this create a drop-down of other brush tip presets. Try the calligraphic preset collection. Good luck!
@ElysiaLovesCakes I use the pen tool to ink my work as much as I can, and only use the brush if I find it necessary or hands down better for the effect. But for basic line art inking, definitely refer to the pen tool. 'Simulate pressure' is magic.
@ApollonApostle, thanks for the tip, took a little research and practice to use the "simulate pressure" for the pen tool.
Is there no way to have the pressure apply as width *instantly*, instead of having to right-click and see the width densities after you've drawn? That would be gravy...
@fuzzyprism Do you mean to make the line wider or not? I use Photoshop exclusively. When I draw straight without the pen tool, width isn't a problem. . . however, with the pen tool the only way I know to change the width of the line in pressure simulation is to change the size of the brush.
@ApollonApostle Yes ... I used the tip you gave for "simulate pressure" with the Photoshop pen tool, but you can only see the results of the width variation once you've drawn the line. It's my hope (fantasy may be a better word) to be able to use the vector qualities of a pen tool and see the width-to-pressure effects instantly when drawing.

The technique of brush, which starts soft and then gets more black, did not work with me, please help me, I put exactly what was requested in the options of Brush.
I'm an amateur, but wanna get my first tablet. Would I be better off with buying the intuos straight away instead of saving some money on the less pro bamboo?
Get the intuos!, you'll learn fast enough, dont give up the first hour...I was like...this is F**** hard!! but after an hour I had it pretty much down! Check out tutorials at deviantart or other sites
Well, duh, I've already have it to high sensitivity, but i guess i'll just try to play with the settings, maybe work with a bigger stroke size. But i guess it doesn't really matter if i don't use flow or opacity, since it's only the sketch. It just matters how comfortable i feel.
When i put oppacity and flow to pen pressure, it's much more realistic. But i need to make more pressure with the pen, and i've got used to using it lightly. It will take some time to get used again. :(
If by 'ultimate user experience' you mean you paid 5 times more money for the same parts and a fancy apple logo, then yes, you did.
Windows has lots of more useful features and abilities, it out preforms mac OSX in every benchmark.
And if you REALLY NEED to use mac operating system due to some inexplicable illness, you could always just buy a PC for a fraction of the cost then install OSX on it.
haha funny, I payed for YES Design, but also the screen, hardrive, SD bla bla is much better then a regular laptop with windows. Though windows 7 looks awesome too and works really good!
Zion, what kind of tablet do you use? I'm hoping to get one soon but I'm not sure what to get. Everyone says Intuos or something but then others say bamboo. I heard bamboo doesn't work very well..?

My friend has a bamboo, he used it for a week than never again, cause its just for applications like paint...And no wacom intuos doesnt come with photoshop unless its a special deal you can get at a store
No, the bamboo works well with photoshop, gimp, corel, and SAI.
I have the Bamboo Pen, it came with Corel. I have used an Intuos, and it is more suited for someone doing professional work, as it has more features, but the bamboo is certainly not made fore MS paint, just a more casual artist,
Nothing is wrong with it, I bought one as a replacement for a faulty Intuos3, and while it isn't quite as sensitive as the more expensive models it works just fine.
this is great. what is are good settings when setting shape dynamics & other dynamics. i could not read the setting when you referred to it on your tutorial. Windows>brushes>shape dynamics?...then other dynamics?
