Remember, it's not a government take over, it's a government sponsored program. Take a look at how things already work today and you'll quickly realize it's only the middle class who get free medical care. The poor get state run health care, from your tax dollars, or go to the emergency room, both your tax dollars already.

I pay over $900+ a month for premium health care that I've never once used in 2 years. I would much rather not pay $900+ a month for health care and pay 5% more Federal taxes and have the ability to get health care in my old age when I may not be in the position I am now.

We need to go with what has been proven to work not with what has failed. Universal health care has failed in HA, MA, Canada, England and just about everywhere else.

Take a look at Tort Reform, just to look at one other avenue for change. Both in TX and CA they passed it. And in both States premiums dropped. TX dropped by 50%!!! and CA dropped by 30%!! I'd say that is a great start.

The number 1 concern of Brits coming to the states for tourism is a lack of health care. Once again another Fox News lie. Obama did change his plan slightly as he went through his campaign. McCain changed radically and dramatically and at one point changed his campaign slogan to "Change is coming..." which was a knock off of Obama's campaign slogan. Also note that Obama has held true on all of his campaign promises so far and has captured a 68% approval rating in his first week in office, much higher than GWB's 22% record low. Appreciate your response, however Reagan lowered marginal tax rates across the board. He did not pit rich against poor. And Bush II was no Reagan. He increased government and traditional conservatives such as Limbaugh, Savage, and Paul attacked the bailout.
