I & many others heard plenty of testimony re: killing of unarmed civilians, abuse of prisoners, sexual abuse of female soldiers. Others did too. You a vet? Get your hearing tested @ VA! You would have been much better served paying close attention to testimony. Didn't need smoking guns. Jimmy Massey is no longer a member of IVAW. Also, I regret to say that before Jesse Macbeth, we did not in fact vet our membership. We did not believe anyone would lie about their military service. His fraud alerted us to the possibility of liars, and we have since required proof of service.

I will also note that Jesse Macbeth deceived not just us, but the VA, for which he was later convicted of fraud.

I wish we'd caught him sooner. Now we can only fix the future-and we have.
