  • it not just the voice itself it's the phrasing that has changed (a bit american dare I say it! never stap!!) - still great though and still just about the coolest bloke on the planet

  • Very nice documentary. It was quite touching.

  • His voice was Spot On in 1996 on the Burned Tour in Austin TX. And afterwards he signed 19 of my vinyl record covers I'd collected and talked to me as nice as can be without a hint of annoyance. Truly a class act. And as far as his voice, he may not be able to hit Porcupine heights but he did Siberia BEAUTIFULLY.

  • Wow he managed to make "Never Stop", one of their most urgent and exciting songs, sound like the soundtrack to a coma.

  • Ian's voice has not changed - it has evolved to exactly where it is supposed to be....granted, giving up smoking would definitely have an effect, even so - still the best band on the planet...and Ian is still quite beautiful so see and hear...

  • @ljpw93 heard the bunny men live from the start of the band seen them countless times even when they were rehearsing in Brian's dinner, Ian's voice is shit these day unfortunately and for that reason I stop myself from going to see them any more !

  • Voice is definately shot. Sounds more American than ever before

  • Mac's voice has just changed... a lot of party's and 3 billion cigs will do that but it still sounds ok...just a little different.

Listen to Dylan's voice now compared to 20 or 30 years ago it's all dark and deep like a coalmine but he still can knock's out a song.

    The Bunnymen's music is timeless.

    Thank's for the vids.

  • "Nuthin ever lasts forever." One of my all time concert highlights was seeing the Bunnymen in the '80's. When I saw them again in 2003 (I think) it was so disappointing to hear Mac's voice. Time to pack it in. Thanks for the memories!!!

  • they are still the best band in the world

  • Mac coasts too much. His voice is totally shot.

  • i agree hes not hittin the notes anymore.

  • "Coasting" is exactly how I'd describe it. That performance of "Rescue" took about twice as long as on their LP.

My admiration is for what was not what is...

  • Yep, all that smoking has taken a toll on his voice.
