It is never a bad thing to run from a fight. I recommend studying martial arts. I would only fight when you are cornered and have no choice. You don't know what the other person has on them or what they can do..

@smallville0forever my advice is start working out. you will feel stronger and look bigger. that will give you confidence. that's all you need. be confident in your abilities. if you don't know any self-defense or don't think you are strong enough to over-power the person you will not be confident and you will.. shall I call it "bitch out" .. no offense.

@smallville0forever I agree, take a martial arts. it will get you used to fighting in a safe environment. I would recommend judo, because it is one of the most practical art forms. This is because you can actually use what you learn, making the moves a habit. It also centeralizes on using your enemies wieght against them. However, I still think it is better to run and avoid trouble as much as possible.

@smallville0forever i was like that for a while, i just took up boxing, kickboxing taekwondo and got my dad to teach me some of the army stuff he was taught. to be honest its nothing to do with fighting ability its all about confidence in that you can beat them. if they offer to fight you and you stand up to them i find they usually back down, and if they dont the best way is get them on the floor as fast as possible, once they on the floor they stuffed

Another couple of things that I can suggest, especially for the ladies, is to keep your eyes on your drinks. That's how you can also stay out of dangerous situations. Also, if you have a small bottle of hairspray in your purse, get that in the eyes. Stick your keys in between your fingers if you think you might be in trouble. Nasty, but the attacker usually winds up going to the emerg, not you.
