  • Like out of a dream, so unique, so different!

  • What incredible creative minds - both Elton (Reggie) and Bernie!

  • Can anyone specify all the keyboard instruments and at what points do they happen?

According to Eltonography, there's a Farfisa Organ, Electric Piano and Mellotron. Being all synthesisers, it could be any of those.

    There is a flute sound (0:26), a bassy drone (0:49), a waa-waa sound (1:05), string-like sound (1:15) and organ-like sound (1:32).

I know it can be hard to hear, but just if you can :).

  • Its so hard to explain what this song is called to my friends...-__-

  • Reminds me of Bill Joel, or is it the other way around. Love the old, old Elton John.

  • A simple gem of a song.

  • Great track!!!!

  • Such a great song

  • hardest song to find on youtube. (if you know what i mean)

  • Criminally overlooked song - such a shame it wasn't performed as it should have been.

  • Haunting and wild!

  • Can't fault the man!! Just great!!!!

  • needs to be in the the top ten greatest albums ever right alongside abbey road.

  • Yes it does...

It's called...This Song Has NO Title!

  • im an innocent young child sharp as a knife.. LOVE <3

  • One of the very greatest albums, as are Tumbleweed Connection and Captain Fantastic. Elton's new album The Union, with Leon Russell, is excellent, my favourite of his since the mid 70s.

  • A classic example of Elton & Bernie at their best...

  • this is the best album ever recorded........and yes beatle fans..that includes sgt.pepper.

  • i love this song my favorite on the alblum the intro song is good but to me its more of an mj ( michale jackson) type song than elton john.

  • More great modern poetry, such a wonderful medium and talented practicioner.

  • Hmmm intresting song...

  • I still have this album growing up and remember ... listening to it and staring at the whole album, the art work, the lyrics.... I even drew the Marilyn Monroe pic on it and some so called friend stole it from me. it is one of the best albums of all time I believe..

    Lyrics are superb!

  • This is Reg Dwight's Best Song from his Great Work.

  • I agree. It's a brilliant work. Maybe his best.

  • You can also thank Bernie Taupin. That's Elton's long-time lyricist.

  • @demonsbutterfly call him elton

  • @Beans228 but his nqame is Reginald. I like to honour his parents!!!

  • MELLOTRON appearance from 1:14 on. SHIVERS!!!! :-)))

  • I love this song because it deftly captures the innocence of a teenager or a young adult wanting to learn. The title is also symbolic: by "This Song Has No Title, just words and a tune," it is the same as being somebody who doesn't know where to go in life. Standing at the crossroads and trying to make a decision on which path to stroll down...

  • @Arabesquian

    Couldnt agree more.....

  • One of the greatest vocalist alive. This song always moves me,absolutley wonderful.

  • Does anyone know where to find the sheet music for this song?

  • Guitar Center, or any local music store.

  • You'll find it on the net. All you have to do is search.

  • In the Goodbye Yellow Brick Road Songbook!!!!

  • how silly of me

  • Geniale!!

  • Elton John has helped shape what little taste in music I have.

Some of my favorite "real" music is by him.

  • I love the fact that everything you hear on this track is ALL Elton.
