  • Great remember I was here.Magi Thai 2/4/2012

  • Can you record guitar without a drum track?

  • @Orangeokie7 Yes, you have to turn down the volume of the drum track, though it makes it harder if your recording a loop. Because you cant hear the tempo of the drums.

  • @bigblink Is there also a volume control for the guitar when your're recording? For some reason when I'm recording over a drum track I'll stop it and play it back but I can't hear the guitar riff I just recorded.

  • @Orangeokie7 Yes, press record and undo at the same time.

  • @ ps3 guitar man try using a 2g or 1g sd card. I have a few sd cards around and anything bigger than 2g want work for me

  • How do you use the metonomes.and how do you control the tempo for looping? It would be great if you made a vid for that

  • I have problems when saving it to an SD card.

  • shake shake!!

  • YOU HAVE A GIANT KEYBOARD

  • hi can anyone tell me how to record onto the sd card. I seem to be having problems. This of coarse is on the line 6 jam 75 amp. thanks srastring@gail.com

  • hi can anyone tell me how to record onto the sd card. I seem to be having problems. This of coarse is on the line 6 jam 75 amp. thanks

  • thanks for the vid man. helped a lot. just got me one of these for christmas.

  • @Jakesvids Your welcome, hope its fun.

  • Thanks for doing this. I just picked up this amp but I can't figure out how to get the guitar, aux, and mic to all record at the same time. Only two at a time but not all three. I thought that it was possible..any clue how?

  • What a guitar?

  • i have some question bro! can i use my guitar and a bass together? but not to record, just for jamming with a bass player... or if i can do the same but with the 3 thing at the same time, guitar, bass and mic...next question, how long can a i record a phrase loop? have they a limit apart to the 25 min? or can i record for exalmple a hole song (intro, verse, chorus, final) and then loop it to record the bass?

  • @LeonardoVerde

Yes you could input a bass, guitar, and mic all in at the same time.

Record length... i would assume 25 minutes, if you have no other recordings on there. I have not tested this. You could record a whole song. then hit record again to record bass.

  • @bigblink

Thanks Bro! Regards from Uruguay! sorry about my english, i dont practice it often!

  • I have a Line 6 amp but it doesn't have that control panel on the top but I says that you can Record on it. How do I do this? I say this on the top and it has a red REC sign but I don't know how to do this

  • @madhatter534

If you don't have this specific amp, i cant help with your question, this is the only one I know. sorry, hope you figure it out.

  • does i work with a FBV Shortboard ?

  • @Bjartur96FO Yup! :D I use one on mine.

  • 0:37 that was some epic shredding xD

  • It is possible to record for exemple 00:00 to 00:35 ... Stop... and after press play/record and continue 00:35 to 01:00 for exemple !?? I have the Line6 spider jam but I dont know if its possible after alot of try ... its always come back to the begening . HELP !!!

  • @METALPR1DE

No i don't think you can do that

  • Hey it might sound like a stupid question, but what Line 6 is this and what did you pay for it?

  • @swingsetgirl44

it is the Line 6 spider jam amp

    $450

  • @bigblink Really? I recently purchased the Spider4 150watt, and your amp seems to have way better features.

  • @swingsetgirl44

Yea, the looping feature is great. But 150watt is a lot more, this is 75 watt. So i guess it depends on what you need it for. Since they have the same kind of effects, yours' should sound better/louder for live shows. But for learning or playing with yourself, the jam amp seems ideal.

  • @swingsetgirl44 Just buy a BOSS loop station, it's way better then the onboard looper here.

  • @XzaccYXguitarXplayer

Yea i would think there are better loopers for sure. However, if you want an amp at the same time, this is good. I would not use the line 6 loop feature myself for live events i dont think.

  • The thing i wanted to know was how to get this into my pc... Not very usefull

  • Yea i guess its not...but then again that's not what the title of the video says this will teach you how to do. Read some of the comments below if you cant find a video on that. they tend to answer how to do what you are looking for.

  • What's the point of this again? Jamming with your own muddy two minute loops?

Seems like a lot of dicking around for little payoff.

Would be better if it came with external speakers for the mix and leave the cab for the guitar.

  • Well for me the points were numerous... The first and foremost, help me with my soloing. once i record a mini loop, i can jam for hours with it. getting my fingers faster and faster.

Also its an amp.... so i can play live with it, at 75watt

  • Looks ;oke you have to mixdown and then save to SD as wav - it's in the manual under sd card details

  • I need some help, from anyone who has tried to use an SD card with a Line 6 Jam amp. I have loaded a recording straight from my amp to the card, and put it in my computer. When I try and open the file, it says I need to find a program to run it. I've done some searching and the one thing I've found is something called "RegCure". I've run the scan and everything and I still can't open the file. If anyone has any idea how to help me I'd surely appreciate it :)

  • just wondering, i dont have the jam version, but i think their should be a part in the manual about that. did you check it?

  • Yeah I've read the manual inside and out, and it didn't say anything about it.

Although I have located a program that converts the .JAM file to a .WAV. file, which is an audio file much like an MP3 :)

If anyone has this same problem just message me and I can send you the link

  • i dont think you can open wav files like mp3. try converting it into mp3.

  • @keyser66guitarist hey man sry 2 bother u, but isaw what u were saying about converting jam to wav, how do u do that, every time i try 2, it says sd card write error on panal. thanks 4 any help u can send me

  • @leftyhight It says error on the Line6 Amp? not sure, but try updating the amp to its newest firmware from their website. Also its possible that your SD card is bad.

  • A good easy to understand video :) . Now i might consider getting this amp instead of Spider IV 75w..costs bit more but is ok should be totttaly worth it...

  • once u have recored everything can u extract it to pc to put on a disc

  • your guitar sucks. I have the same one:(

  • ahahahahahahha roflmao

  • can you record off other amps on this

  • I am not 100% sure that you can. I do not have another amp, but with the right plugs/cords, i was able to stick my Keyboard into the guitar in jack, and even get effects on it, so I would ASSUME you could also stick other things in there (like other amps)

  • i getteing a epiphone les paul and a line 6 spider iv for cristmas

  • Very nice!!

Im getting my first bass and a harmonica

  • im getting my first bass aswell im getting a squier frank bello bass

  • Niice that sounds similar to the one i am getting Squier PBass

  • I've just got one question... can you record yourself and loop it WITHOUT a backing track?

  • @keyser66guitarist

Yea, To do that, i turn the volume of the backing track down.Only problem with that can be getting your timing right when going to loop the first time recording.

  • Alright cool thanks man. I was debating wether or not to get one, and I think I'm gonna :)

  • @keyser66guitarist Yes you can.

  • Can you save that recorded ?

  • is this the spider 1 or 4?

  • I think it is based on the III

  • dude i have a 3 15 watt and it doesnt have that

  • This is the Jam Version : )

  • can you record with a clean sound and then on the next loop record with insane.

  • Yes you can, you can do a clean then a dist.and then dist. with delay..as long as you don't run out of time you can keep adding

  • dude thanks man i needid the info ;)

gane bay it 2 day just needid info how it workt totaly

    gr 501

  • When your looping do you have to use the same effect for each recording or can you switch it up?

  • You can switch the effects.

  • Lol its a bitch

  • Ur camera mic is wiggin lol

  • hmmmm to record it i figure you just need a recoding software type shnit. i use Kristal ROFL but then just hook it up with the mini jack hit play and recording =)

  • that was really informative i accually watched it from start to finish!

    GOOD JOB THANKS!

  • bem que o cara poderia "tocar" alguma coisa pra mostrar melhor.

tem um puta equipamento, mais não toca nada, igual a mim! rsrsrs

  • Thanks for uploading this video, dude! I have a Fender G-DEC, which is similar, but this amp looks much better. I hope to get one.

  • lol is that a giant keyboard next to your foot?

  • haha no, wish i had one, the keyboard is elevated about 2 feet off the ground, so, closer to the camera.

  • Hey! Can you use the regular FBV footswitch (not the express or shortboard) with this amp?

  • Ah sorry i do not know. I do not use those.

  • Yeah you can cos i can see the input slot lol

  • Muito bom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • just got my amp yesterday love it

  • what is best, a line 6 spider jam, or a Marshall mg100dfx?

  • spider jam.

  • ok, does the spider jam sound better ? like in tone and stuff?

  • I love my spider Jam, it comes with countless preset tones by bands like As I Lay Dying, Metallica, Kiko (i forget his last name but he's pretty sweet), Meshuggah, etc.

  • kiko loureiro??

  • I dont know how good the marshall sounds. probably great and 100watts. but the spider jam is perfect with the presets and the built in drum loops. go to a store if possible like guitar center and check this one out.

  • hey, is that a legend les paul ur using?

  • Is that a radiator next to the amp, it says in the manual not to put the amp next to any heat sources. Just a friendly warning.

  • It is, but it does not really work.

I didnt know that though. Thanks!:)

  • i bought one yesterday!! and it's awesome!!

  • If you have very very good timing its possible to know when to stop it, i cant get it just right, what i would recommend is play with the built in metronome or a drum track and then you have the option to delete the metronome or drum track when you finished recording. then you can add more guitar on top of your first recording without hearing the drums.

  • 3 ways to get songs off amp

    1.Get their P.O.D.

2.Get an SD card 1-2 GB and download the update off Line 6's site, update the amp and then you can save .wav to the SD card

3.Use the two audio outputs in the back into your computers audio input/transfer card

  • Thats odd, i tried the wav to sd card option but it gave me a different format that i couldnt use, maybe ill try again it has been a while. thanks.

  • also wat tuning r u in?

  • It is a def leapord washburn lyon

    The tuning was standard EADGBe.

The amp has a built in tuner

  • nice video! wat kind of guitar do u have? signature series?

  • hi. do you know how to record using this amp by puting it into your computer?

  • Good stuff! Thanks for sharing. BTW what type of guitar do you have?

  • It is a def leapord washburn lyon

  • washburn lyon, good stuff. how do you like it?

  • Its fine. i do not have experience playing high end electrics. So I'm sure if you did you would find problems, but to me... it sounds and feels good.
