  • i love that kemp dunked on rodman and rodman was like "it's cool, nice dunk- we're still gonna whoop your ass in this series." that's why rodman has 5 rings son

  • 6:23 if you look closely its as if rodman put himself underneath kemp to get a technical foul called on kemp...lol

  • @ninjarlou hey this video is made by foremily23...why don't you make your own vid....

  • GP did work on jordan

  • The 90's Chicago Bulls are the greatest of all time, and Jordan is the greatest player of all time. He has never been dethroned by anyone, Kobe got that ass kicked his whole career.

  • The NBA called the bulls and told them to lose a couple of games, to make the finals more interesting lol not sure if thats true but it sure seem like it

  • Jordan didn't push off? He extended his elbom...i.e. push off. I grew up a huge Jordan fan, but growing into a man and hearing how he was as a "man" off the court, he def lost his aura in my eyes. Jordan got so many calls he was whining that he didn't get away with one. Oh and The Sonics won that game...

  • you never see jordan get a technical

  • Sucks so much for the Sonics, you win 64 freaking games and still can't get home advantage in the finals! Key Arena was the toughest place to play in the NBA (same way Quest Field is for the NFL now) and its a shame they didn't keep this team together because they probably would have beaten the Bulls the next year.

  • Kemp was the best player in this series. back when he wasn't eating donuts. but the sonics were a really good team. yeah they weren't loaded but they played well as a team. this sonics team would beat a lot of teams post bulls and outside the lakers of 00-02

  • and lol kobe gers hated on

    kobe>jordan

  • @Kobeistite Jordan>>>Kobe

Jordan NBA finals career 33ppg 48 percent shooting

Kobe NBA finals career 25 ppg 41 percent shooting LOL

Kobe could not shoot over 41 percent against Eric snow 6'2 LOL 01 finals...

    Jordan owns kobe

  • Bulls lost this game. LoL

  • Shows how much I've forgotten. Luc "Always in foul trouble early" Longley was the most productive Bull in this game not named Jordan. Wow.

  • Lately i was checking archives of movies at NBAPremium(.)tk and to be honest some great shots are there

  • i agree wit cha brutha!

  • almost aint good enough homie

  • oh how i miss the sonics :[

  • u see kemp put his nuts in rodman's face. don't think that wasn't intentional.

  • These bulls are the most unusual team in the best team ever debate--no other candidate has such obvious flaws.

Their only post-scorer is a guard, they have little post presence at all, no genuine point guard, and no scoring punch off the bench.

But then they have the best perimeter defense ever, the best complimentary player ever, and the unrelenting, unfathomable determination of Jordan.

I still think the 86 celts and 87 lakers would exploit their many weakness over seven games.

  • With all that said you make it sound as you wouldn't have believed they'd win the championships they won if I had told you of it yet you hadn't actually seen it come to fruition.

--- And admitting to that, you would have to admit that you don't know enough about that Bulls dynasty to make an intelligible guess as to whether the 86' Celtics or 87 Lakers would've in fact exploited these supposed weaknesses.

  • Reading what I said before they did have scoring punch off the bench-- Toni Kukoc(only for the second run). Other than that, dispute any point I made. (You didn't even think of Kukoc.)

The league was weak in the '90s. Utah posed the best opposition in the finals(Utah!), and Indiana overall, in '98, despite presenting only one match-up problem (Smits), with a hurt star (Miller), a make-shift point, and four subpar defenders in their starting five. That's the best competition th Bulls faced.

  • dadesertwarrior, obviously 'ye do care what I think

otherwise 'ye wouldn't have given 'yer comments. Are 'ye a Yank? then 'yer stupid! Ohhhh don't be offended it's what people all over know 'ye for, being stupid is 'yer national pride after all USA = Undeniably Stupid Americans :)

  • no one cares about what you think...thanks for commenting and watching a basketball video you "wanker"

  • Women can also play rugby or football!

    Thants a dumb comment lol

  • the dunk by kemp on rodman was sweet!

  • Now we could argue about if the Lakers 3pt was better than 72-10 Bulls or whatever but answer this question: Did any of those Laker teams go 87-13 with an NBA Title? NO. And thats all there is to it, plain simple NO. So I do not want to hear about a bunch of BS on supposedly what Phil Jackson "SAID" in some bogus Newspaper. Call me when any team wins that many games (87) and losses as few of those games (13) with an NBA Title.

  • Phil DID say it....and the stuff about the bulls matching up with the 3-peat Shaq, he actually said on NBC... I tried to google the source for that but can't find it. Anyway, even though regular season records aren't that important, you're right... until anyone else can win 72 games, no one else can really claim to be the best team. It's all speculation.

  • So you googled it and could not find it. Thats because its a bunch of BS your making up. And again call me when anyone outdoes the 87-13 Title mark that 1995-96 Bulls achieved.

  • YOU are a bunch of BS.

  • Now dude listen we just having a coversation about hoops here and yes we both give our points and disagree but no need to go into this name calling. As Trey WIggs would say Nothing personal bro we just want to make the point that a team that wins the most games in a season (87) and loses to least games in a season (13) with the Trophy is hands down the greatest NBA Team ever. Lets just keep this simple and clean. I hope you have a good season.

  • It's NOT a conversation when you're accusing someone of making things up when you have no proof...but agreed... name-calling... un-called for. And I'm gonna find a source for Phil's comments, someway, somehow.

  • Oh by the way I didn't take it personal, I am just glad your reply to my last comments were cool. Its all good to disagree/agree whatever but at least we have kept our conversation cool and about a topic. I have ran into people on youtube that make comments like "Your wrong you F*ggot. You must be a dumb*ss if you do not agree with me". But our conversation, although we disagree with each other, has been all cool and clean and I thank you for that.

  • That lakers team was a less talented version of the 96 magic team Penny was better than a young Kobe, Grant was better in 96 than in 2000 and Ron harper slow and injured was the starting 1 guard for that team, Sorry but it aint close common sense makes that clear. Now the 86 celts team are the only team I could see possibly giving that 96 team trouble

  • I heard a few times Phil said he thought the Lakers (2000) would give the Bulls a lot of matchup issues. But so would Chicago, who is guarding MJ and Scottie? Sorry but Phil Jackson rode Mike and Scotties coat tails. Didnt matter who coached the Bulls really, Jordan could have been player coach, Jackson always got too much credit anyway. His opinions are moot to me.

  • i agree, phil's statement in the interview with bob costas in June 2002 when the Lakers faced the Nets in the Finals, was pretty idiotic.......... he said that jordan never faced any dominant center in the finals, and I was like he must have forgotten about Shawn Kemp, who played both CENTER and the fower forward position...... the only reason at time Kemp played PF was because Ervin Johnson was an inche taller than Kemp at '6'11' and he weighed more pounds than Kemp........

  • ...but Ervin Johnson didn't have the skill set as a center to play center, the way Shawn Kemp did!!.....shawn kemp averaged in the 95-96 season alone: 19.6 Points Per Game..... 11.4 Rebounds Per Game..... 1.6 Blocks Per Game......shooting at 56% from the field!!

in the 1996 NBA Finals games, his statistics were this:

23.3 Points Per Game......10.0 Rebounds Per Game and 2.00 Blocks Per Game!!!.

Hell that sounds like a dominant center to me!

  • By the way, NONE of these laker 3-peat teams can hang with the '96 Bulls, these Bulls team were to trigger happy defensively, the type of turovers they commited against their opponents and the offensive rebounds that they had over the '96 magic is something that you would think only exist in the video game realm, not actually practical in the real world. I still think that the Bulls come out on top against the 1986 celtics, because when they played against.......the '86 Bulls in the first.....

  • ...three games. they gave up a total amount of 113 CHICAGO BULLS POINTS ON AVERAGE in THREE GAMES! THAT'S BAD DEFENSE for a team who was # 1 in defensive rating! These '86 Celtics would be in trouble against these Chicago Bulls Defensive intensity.......of course there were only two legit post up players in Jordan and Pippen, but they make up their games with other pros and balance that out.......

  • ......their strengths such as rodman's great rebounding effort and longley capitolizing off the plays Jordan makes for him, similar to LeBron James creating plays for Big Z and Anderson Varajao........although longley won't stand a chance against robert parish, but at least they are even in height at '7'1''.......the bulls backcourt will MURDER the ''86 Celtics backcourt, every body knows that Danny Ainge can't hang with Jordan, he's too explosive....Ainge was destroyed in two finals series.....

  • ....against jordan....in 19992 when he played with Clyde Drexler's Blazers......and in 1993 when we played with Charles Barkley's Phoniex Suns......and Ron Harper would bring problems in term of length to dennis johnson being at 6'6'' even though he lost some of his athleticism.....but he was still effective nonetheless....1996 Bulls tops the 1986 Celtics in my personal opinion

  • @80s90sRealBasketball

Parish would not destory Luc. Parish at this time was already 12 or so years into the league. Parish career wise destroys longely but its pretty close if you compare the two in these two in that time of their careers. Longely was very underrated in my opinion. I think it comes down to how well Pippen can hold Bird and how well Rodman can hold Mchale. If they do good defensively then the bulls got this.

  • woops didnt mean to sound like a retard with that third sentence

  • @willsmackyoudown i agree, parish would kill luc...luc was just a piece that only significant because he had length at 7 feet tall, but he was no parish, nor pau gasol where he can use his long arms to be very effective defensively.....

  • @willsmackyoudown my bad you said he will NOT destroy luc....i read that wrong, well i would love to believe that because i'm bias anyway LOL you you maybe on point and i could be dead wrong

  • @80s90sRealBasketball i guess robert p. would have killed luc in his earlier years when his legs were young as springtime you know? so in that case Parish at 12 years against Luc would be somewhat of a matchup problem for parish....

  • what r u talkin about? kemp was a pf period. do u even know the difference between the 2? u do realize they play different way, n kemp played like an pf.

  • That move that Shawn Kemp puts on Rodman is surely one of the most underrated dunks out there!

  • which game was the one were mike was playing sick?

  • 1997 Finals, game 5

  • You've gotta be kiddin' me! This video sucks! "da bulls" got their trash kicked. Don't forget...the Reign Man is the only player in history to come within 1 vote of winning Finals MVP while playing for the losing team. He averaged 23ppg and 12rpg against the so called "unstoppa-bulls."

  • Please remember: I am not creating ESPN highlights here. I am a Michael Jordan fan and a Bulls fan. While I may show highlights from the opponents from time to time, my main purpose is to showcase MJ and the Bulls.

  • I forget how many rings the reignman has oh wait he has none. Instead he watched the Bulls win one live in 96. Also in 97 and 98 on tv. The reignman was too busy choking away first round loses to an eighth seed denver nuggets and seventh seed la lakers.

  • what's a mother fucking stat mean if u get swept by the bulls bitch. jordan demoralize the sonics motha fucka

  • Yeah...Phil Jackson even admitted that this bulls team would have had trouble matching up against his own 3-peat lakers(because of Shaq). He also admitted that these bulls had an advantage that year because they were a jump-shooting team... and the 3 point line was moved closer to the basket beginning that year.. so it probably inflated their regular season record. This is from Phil himself.

  • WHen did Phil say this??? You must have been dreaming this. I remember Phil saying both 3-peat Bulls had great talent to surround MJ and Pippen and other guys could make crucial plays. At the end of the Lakers 3-peat Phil finally gave in and said Kobe and Shaq carry too much of a load for LA and they were in need of a 3rd Star--ANd Bulls had a 3rd star in Rodman and a fourth in Kukoc. Now yes Shaq creates a problem but who matches up with Pippen?--ANd don't say Rick "freakin" Fox.

  • He said it in a local(L.A.) interview in 2002. Also, take a look at these numbers:

    Year FG % rank: Record

    1995-96* 7th 72-10

    1996-97* 3rd 69-13

    1997-98 19th 62-20

    * 3 point line at shortened distance

.... meaning the 1995-98(not the 1990-93) bulls had an average offense, and relied on a closer 3 point line.

  • Well I would like to see a source from that "2002 interview". And by the way the Bulls Offense averaged over 100 PPG in their 2nd threepeat against the NBA's toughest Defensive era, so its PTS scored that mattered not FG%. But hey 87-13 overall (most wins, least losses REG Season and Playoffs combined) plus a Title, go show me a team in NBA history that can match or do better than that.

  • Anybody could guard Scottie because he avg 16 points in his career, now nobody couldn't stop MJ.

  • Career AVG. can be decieving. Obviously Pippen's career AVG. went lower near the end of his career when he probably AVG. like 7 PPG in his last 2-3 seasons before retirement as he was an old man then. In his prime--The Title yrs with the Bulls and even 1999-0 with Portland HE could light up the scoreboard and would have AVG.more if MJ was not #1 option. Lets also remember Pippen did everything else at a SUperstar high level too. He also schooled any Laker in 2000 West FInals, including Fox.

  • Oh and your claim (not Phil Jackson's claim that he never made) that the closer 3-pt line helped the Bulls is BS because if anything it helped their opponents just as much if not more (since the Bulls Defense rarely gave up layups/dunks). And yes the Bulls shot the Jump SHots well but they also had a post up game in MJ, Pippen, Kukoc, even Harper and Longley could post up some. They could drive it through MJ, Pip, Kukoc, Harper, and Brown. Their Triangle Offense could score in many ways.

  • It would have helped their opponents if they had that many jump shooters. But most winning teams in NBA history, including last year's Celtics, have been built around the basket. The 90-93 bulls and 88-90 pistons were exceptions because of great guard penetration. Michael Jordan did not go the basket as much later in his career...and Longley, Pippen, Kukoc, and Harper never really drew consistent double-teams from the post.

  • MJ always droved to the basket in his career, stop lying.

  • Phil didn't say that dumbass. The 3-point been the same dumbass

  • Phil no say dat?? 3-point been same?? me no understand what language yoo speek.

  • stfu bitch ass nigga

  • At least JZ2001JC argued some good points. You're not even trying to argue...... may because you know your IQ is too low..LOL

  • @jormc1128 lol the sonics just delayed the inevitable. They may have won two games against the bulls who took this team lightly with no respect but in the end the sonics got there ass handed to them by the UNSTOPPABULLS.

  • @jormc1128 jerry west won finals mvp even though the lakers lost ......dumb fuck

  • @jormc1128 Someone sounds a little bitter still

  • @jormc1128 shut up mj the best dude

  • @jormc1128 hey jormc1128, Jerry West, you know the guy who is the NBA logo won the MVP for a losing team and is the only one to do so, that's a little more impressive then 2nd place. The Bulls wanted to win on their home court and knew they could. Seattle never even got a whiff of that championship trophy. The Unstoppa-Bulls live up to the quote everytime with JPJ.

  • Bob Costas had the best intro's

  • They lost this game on purpose so they can celebrate the championship win at home...

  • I don't want to sound all conspiratorial and all. But I think you're right. I think Chicago deliberately lost both games 4 and 5 @ Key Arena. But the reasons why I thought Chicago lost those games was to appease the sports bookies in Las Vegas. And that they wanted to have more ratings for this particular series. And they way to do that is to have a competitive series. And remember, the series prior to the 96' Finals. The Rockets swept Orlando for the title. But you probably already know that.

  • both you guys have got to be kidding me

  • wow did you just cut out every sonics play,

THE BULLS LOST THAT GAME and bad!

  • Not sure if you've checked out any other games of mine. But what I typically do is show only Michael Jordan highlights. I'll show others if they merit being shown, but my sole purpose on here is to keep MJ's legacy alive and kicking.

    thanks for watching

  • mj doesnt need any help lol

  • @ninjarlou the bulls lost respect for this team and i don't blame them. The sonics were the worst team they've faced in all the finals series that they played. I don't know how Seattle made it it must have been a weak ass conference.

  • @moneyman237952

What are you smoking. This seattle supersonic team was unreal. They swept the Houston (defending champions) Beat the Jazz who would appear twicen the finals in the next following years and beat the bulls two consecutive times in this finals series. That supersonic defense was amazing. And GP was the best perimeter defender of all time.

  • Shawn Kemp was the freakiest dunker in history...but I didn't think Rodman minded lol at 6:25

  • Costas always knew how to put Mike into perspective...

  • 2:06

    OWNED!

  • Love the intro with Bob Costas talkin about Jordan and the Bulls

  • Man ur awesome, thx for letting ppl like me relive this and others get a chance to see what it was like for the first time.

Just an observation. How come some of ur vids have the high quality option and others like this one dont?

  • thanks...I appreciate the kind words

as for the high quality question, I have no freakin' idea...kind of bugs me... I don't do anything different when I upload the vids, so I have no explanation....sorry, dude

  • Nice upload. never seen this one b4 on youtube anywhere.

  • Still a good game I just wish the bulls could of swept them. But i guess it was sweeter on father's day 4 MJ

  • I'm with you I wish they would have sweept them to make their statement as the best team ever.

  • yeah plus they would have beat the 76ers playoff record with a 15-1 playoff record

  • Well guess, what..the 2001 Lakers did beat the Sixers 1983 playoff record 15-1..by winning percentage..

  • yeah against a lot weaker competiton

  • Amen.

  • 4 straight would've been great but it great to win the title at home.
