Are the avatars able to walk in this program like they do in SL?

It looks like it.

However, what I am seeing in this video is nowhere near as nice as either SL or IMVU.

It's no Second Life. It's just a glorified chat room and you can't do nearly as much.

I know that I am not even vaguely interested in leaving SL for Lively or any other virtual world.

SL has its problems but I am willing to live with them.

@mezerX SL does have its problems. If I find a virtual world that is overall superior to SL I will try it.

@mezerX I am looking for as realistic as possible. When I find a program better than SL I will go there. The length of the arms are not the problem in SL. Where the joints articulate is the problem... the elbows are too far down on the arms.

I guess I should have made my title clearer. I made it within my first 5 mins of playing as I said in the description. I made it because I needed a quick clip for my Second Life blog witch can be found if you Google my 2nd life name, Sarah Nerd. It's the 2nd thing that pops up if you google me.

How is it? I'm sort of interested in it, but my computer got horribly messed up and well...Now nothing works. The Avatars remind me of IMVU =/ but from what i heard its more like SL.

It's not very much like SL. I play SL for a living and don't see many similarity's yet.Customization is really limited here, there's no user created content, economy, sex, not as much freedom. IMVU should be scared. Second Life is safe for now.

IMVU doesn't need to worry yet. If I remember correctly, IMVU can have user created content.

If Lively doesn't ever evolve and allow user created content, this won't go far.
