"One of these Days" evolved from some of my experiments with the Binson, as did "Echoes" [also from Meddle]. One day, Roger decided to take some of the techniques that I was developing and try them out himself on bass. And he came up with that basic riff that we all worked on and turned into "One of these Days".' Waters improving a Gilmour idea.

Truly the best concert I ever attended...David Gilmour is so perfect every time it's just crazy. Just sitting there waiting for it to start, they have cricket and frog sounds over the sound system where you can barely hear it and get louder until the show starts...Then the show starts...AWESOME....and before you know it, it's over...When you leave you know you just saw something great that you can't even put into words until later after you think about it for awhile. RIP Mr. Wright..U R missed!

The rest was Roger. David paid outside musicians to write songs for the two dehydrated Floyd albums that he lead. Most of the people who think Gilmour is god didn't know of Pink Floyd before 1987. Listen to the pros and cons of hitchhiking and amused to death and see how Clapton and Beck play Floyd (Waters' music)

As a matter of fact I have all of David's solo stuff, post Waters PF, etc. What I am saying that when it comes to PF he gets way too much credit when the guy who composed most of the music, all lyrics from Dark side of the moon until final cut was Roger Waters. Gilmour by himself and PF without Waters don't sound like Floyd. Yet Waters solo efforts sound like it. Some people don't like it, but Roger Was the driving force of Pink Floyd.

Childhood's end, Speak to Me, the great gig in the sky and any colour you like. Songs 100% Waters San Tropez, free four, Money,Brain damage/eclipse, have a cigar, Welcome to the machine, sheep, all pigs, the whole wall album, but 3 songs cowritten with Dave. The whole final cut album. Songs written 100% by another member other than Waters, 1. Childhood's end. I rest my case.

Without his guitar and vocals, Floyd is just not the same. Listen to Comfortably Numb with Waters and whoever else. It is average at best. I give Waters great credit for song writing, but if not for David Gilmour, the world would not be head over heels for PF. Of course, this is simply my opinion.

In fifteen years few, if any, will remember Linkin Park. Pink Floyd, on the other hand, has a huge, devoted following despite not releasing an album in nearly fifteen years. Floyd's reunion in 2006 was the highlight of Live 8. Dark Side of the Moon alone has sold almost as many albums as all of LP's together. (Besides, "In the End" and "Papercut" are better than "Numb"...if you're going to claim that a band is better than the almighty Floyd, you should probably reference their best material!)
