  • Ding! Ding! Ding ! Ding ding ding!

  • I saw this right before I went to sleep one night. That translated into me bursting into laughter while brushing my teeth (gross), bursting into laughter while pulling on pajamas (painful) and then giggling in bed (which, when one is alone in the dark, is somewhat scary to hear, even if you're the one causing it). It was a surreal combination of joy and fear that night.

  • I nearly pissed myself when I first saw this!

  • lol the moment he takes the typewriter out i just couldn't help myslef

  • *Wanker* Pmsl

  • I really want the job of extreme negative feedback guy.

  • @Darkbodbod Oh do you? Do you really? Isn't that great, you want the job, thats why you should get it is it?....Prick.

    ;)

  • I would love to have that job!

  • 1:31

  • wanker.

  • I've watched this clip so many times, but the ending is still so painful to look! XD

  • "Well this clip was delightfu-OH MY FUCKING GOD!"

  • First line "right, this should be relativly painless"

  • There are a few Mitchell and Webb clips I can't stop watching. This is one of them. Hilarity.

  • Keep pressing 7.

  • DING!

  • *SPOILER*

    *SPOILER*

They didn't use a real typewriter, probably just a Styrofoam or similar material and added the sound effects.

  • God you fucking assholes. Both the top comments ruin the funniest part of the video. I don't read the comments anymore for this reason.

  • @walkerneo i waited ages to see a film, finally found it last week, first comment fuckin ruined it!!!!!!!

  • @walkerneo wouldn't it make sense to always read the comments after watching youtube videos. the comments section is there for people to discuss these things. it's up to you to read them after watching, not for them to refrain from discussing certain things incase it's spoils it for you.

  • did anyone actually listen to david's whole conversation? i did. it was pretty articulate.

  • haha at like 0:20 to 0:26 love how webb is just turning into normal mode and nodding along

  • "Well, this should be relatively painless"

    bahaha irony

  • LOL, wasn't expecting that ending XD

  • @truthoutmedia Miserable bloody sod

  • Which episode is this from!?

  • One of my favourite sketches :)

Can someone help me out trying to find another one, it's set on like a breakfast tv show or something and webb's the interviewee talking about his new show where he invites everyone round his house that has the same birthday or something and its basically a pisstake of some other celebrity...? (sorry if im being vague i just havent watched it in ages and dont know what to search lol).

  • this is genius!!!! hahahahaha

  • You know on the Apprentice they have an episode of interviews? They should do this.

  • @TheGrammarNerd YES.

  • 1:30 never gets old :'D

  • You guys do realize, they could have just created a softer replica with just enough weight to look believable without hurting him, and added the crashing sound in afterwards?

  • @Misishaxi Yes.

  • @JWRPayne Well played.

  • @Misishaxi ;)

  • @JWRPayne YES. :)

  • @Misishaxi Lol poor guy

  • @Misishaxi Yes but it's so much funnier this way. Did you see the look on his face?

"Oh it's fine, is it? Well as long as it's fine, that's alright then."

    *SNORT*

  • @Misishaxi

Wow really? I hear Godzilla is just a guy in a suit too.

  • Never saw the end coming, priceless XD

  • 'This should be relatively painless!'

    Hehehe...

  • HAHAHAHA! It's even more hilarious how poor David screams in reaction to the impact! X'''D WHAT A LEGEND!!!

  • Watched this video so many times, that typewriter doesn't sound or look any less painful every time. If anything it looks MORE painful...

  • Extreme negative feedback... lol

  • thats such a good impact sound, really makes you wince

  • 4 people disliked because they have been hit with a type writer

  • "Oh vexed yeah that's good, it's all so vexed"

That's one of my favourite lines from any of their sketches xD

  • Such an amazing sketch, regardless of who wrote it. And yeh the typewriter thrown is not real. If you look REAL closely near the end, he unintentionally clips it and punches it away.

  • @AlbaSunriseFilm

"A few months later, I was watching a DVD of the first episode of one of my favourite sketch shows of the 1980s, Absolutely. In sheer horror, my nostrils expanded to the size of bowling ball finger-grips as the negative feedback sketch started to play itself out before my eyes. I’d seen it in 1989, loved it, forgotten it, and then “had the idea” 17 years later. "

He realised it himself and apologised to the guy who made it.

  • DING!

  • this ending never ceases to make me howl with laughter

  • I think I've got the hang of it now *Whack!* Lmfao!

  • I'd love to have Webb's job hahaha.

  • "wanker!" XD

  • these two are up there in the best of british comedy.

  • i fucking love the English comedy

  • Is anyone else getting a corrupted video? Never used to be like that.

  • @JWRPayne [HQ] My arse XD

  • @KoRnIbanez123 Nah, you're right. It used to be fine, but it's corrupted and lowered in quality recently [along with a fair few videos on YouTube, I notice].

I would re-upload, but I've lost this clip, sadly.

  • @JWRPayne

    So remove [HQ] ;)

    Anyways, I don't mind.. I'm already very grateful you've uploaded this :D

  • @LanteanKnight I'd forgotten it was tagged up as [HQ]... Thanks for the heads up!

  • DING

  • i pretty much woke everyone up in my house laughing the other night when this bit was on tele. XD

  • Ding! haha. (:

  • @kental8 ding ding ding! xD

  • This is VERY much like a sketch they did on Absolutely. Could see the similarity here were you to add this to the YouTube url watch?v=yqViFK7Px7A

    not a copy just close.

  • @MarkJoseph4 I'm sure Mitchell and Webb were inspired by that sketch. Absolutely inspired a lot of recent sketch shows, though none have them will ever match the insane brilliance of Absolutely.

  • Who else thought it was going to be the piece of paper that Robert had just scrunched up?

Did not see the typewriter coming.

  • @MissFotini i don't think David saw it coming either.

  • And this is why i love Mitchell and Webb xD

Also, anyone notice that the company's name sounds like "Sell-A-Con"? lmao

  • CRASHBDINGAAARGGGH!!!!!

I love this sketch so much :D

  • "Thanks... I think I get the hang of it now!" - BANG!!

    Epic stuff :P

  • that caught me completely by surprise.

  • bang-

    right in the face.

    love that part.

  • This sketch is an exact steal from the channel 4 series Absolutely Series one episode 1 - check it out on 4od - both are however extremely funny

  • this is probably the funniest thing ive ever seen :D

  • LOLOLOLOLLOLOLLLOLLOLLLLLL

    Origional comment, eh?

  • it actually looks more painful everytime you rewind it! funny as though

  • robert is the best actor ever at being like blatently bastard-ly

best sketch EVER from them =D

    (wanker - lmfao)

  • what series is this fromm?? xxx

  • series 2 episode 1

  • What series is this from??

  • I love the sound of the Typewriter as it whacks David lol.

  • ahahaha brilliant. the way they kept straight faces was hilarious. and then wen he gets the type writer out LOL!

  • God it looks like they actually THREW that typewriter at the guy, no stunt double or smoke and mirrors. Ouch.

  • @jamesgravil

webb said in his latest blog it was rubber.

  • @jamesgravil No offense, but that's a ridiculous notion. Mitchell and Webb aren't known for remarkable special effects, but you can see some examples of this in the clip about being able to levitate biscuits. Asking an actor to take a typewriter to this face is ridiculous.

  • Funniest video ive seen in a very long time. Especially when he throws the typewriter at his face!!! lmao looooooooooooooooooool

  • @scott10a What an intelligent comment...? Yes, that's the intended funny part, little boy.

  • @jvonm618 Clearly you have no life apart from youtube comments, so if you will, please refrain yourself from talking to me, as i dont like mongos talking to me.

    Many thanks.

    Scott

  • @scott10a Nice grammar.

  • @jvonm618 Hey thanks man :-D

  • @scott10a I commend you on your developing English skills. What's your native language?

  • @jvonm618 Your mom is a dirty whore? Meh!

  • @scott10a Look up the Cheese Argument sketch. It's even sillier than this conversation.

  • @jvonm618 Ha ha, i see where your coming from. Well played sir!

  • @scott10a I don't know how they put the fucking skin on the cheese!

Leave it to David Mitchell to resolve a youtube comment squabble. Another victory for Vectron!

  • I love it! there is Robert webb being a total Dickhead, then while the centre dude is explaining about the extreme negative feedback he is all nice, then back to being a total wanker!

I love the ending! It makes me laugh every time I see it!

  • this a great show

i laffed so hard at the Ding Ding part then i was crying with laffter when he threw the typewriter off him!!!!! xx

  • very funny, classic mitchell and webb

  • stupid fanny

  • looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool
