  • I've been exploring gender queer cuz I reckon it's a very interesting way of redefining the hole concept of the female -male binary. However I have never felt like a guy even tho I've also been more comfortable with guys and most of the other stuff u talk about. Trans is a completely different concept if we are being technical and I know lots of people won't be happy with the labels this is just for concept clarification. There are loads of transgender ppl that don't have the need of going trou

  • If your a gender queer, what do you go by? like as in he or she? which one do you go by?

  • what a bunch of fucking fags you liberal lefty scum !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I am not LGBT but fully support all people.. I am glad I came across this video.

I love seeing new perspectives.. Very well said.

  • are you high on caffeine jesus christ, lay off the starbucks

  • You go BOY!!!!! good for you :)

  • Wow, your story and mine sound so similar. I never ever thought of identifying as gender queer until now, but looking back on my whole life I was such a tomboy - until the gender binary got to my parents head and I was forced to act as something I'm not. I'm 22 years old now and much more comfortable with myself, openly bisexual and overall happy. But one thing I always wanted but could never bring myself to do was ID as male through my clothes and overall style. I'm going to do this. Thank you!

  • Thank you for your bravery. I wish you the best of luck. You are indeed paving the Highway of the Future, so that others do not have to suffer, THANK YOU.

  • Wow, as I listened to this, I found myself nodding along to it because I could identify and understand everything you were saying. And that speech was truly inspirational. I for one am on the confused side of the line and are still having trouble finding out who I am, but I know I will soon. Thnx for the video, it was great. The more voices that speak out, the better things will get. :)

  • Wow.

I'm bisexual and I stumbled upon this video, and I couldn't believe how beautiful you are and how much your message needed to be said. I wish you all the best <3

  • I'm gender queer too! Yay!

  • At the end of the day though we're all just people. I'm not saying that gender is imaginary, but I'm just a freaking person and I feel like I've kind of waisted my time thinking so hard about something that isn't really important at all. I'm just going to live my life and experience it for myself to figure out what's for me, instead of trying to analyze things a lot. Oh wow what a pointless waste of time lol! XD Now I'm just going to let life happen. There is no other me; I'm just me. :)

  • My gender is flux too. I just found out today that my birth name is actually unisex. Hey, I guess if there are females named Tyler and Trevor and males named Ingrid, then it's all possible. Plus, the alternative spelling to my name is REALLY cool and just gorgeous. It's on my account under name. I've finally learned to take pride in my original name instead of just shunning it and looking at it as this huge negative thing. I won't ever have to change my name no matter what path I take. YAY! :D

  • This really touched me.

  • I really love the part where you talk about being bi not preparing you for the struggles of being trans. I totally relate with that. Though many of my gay, lesbian, bisexual and pan friends are very supportive of me, they don't seem to understand. <3 Thank you for your speech.

  • wow..... I don't even know what to say... I feel as if my heat is being ripped out and broken...

  • That was amazing. Really. IT was just inspiring. Do you think you could help me out?

I am just starting out. It is an FTM/LGBT advice vlog. Maybe you could help me out a bit? Check out my channel. Ask some questions. I am trying to get out there and could use the help. Thank you!

  • Listening to your speech was inspiring. It hit close to home. I'm moving to Minneapolis in a few days to attend grad school and while I do really desire to study more the real reason for such a drastic move is that I'm not able to express myself the way I wish here. Authenticity is a long and hard road to trudge sometimes but we all will make it as long as we have hope. Thanks for sharing your story.

  • We all have masculine and feminine inside.

A set gender identity is an invention,

    a convention, of "civilization."

Our ancestors of 50,000 years ago

    probably expressed themselves freely.

Buy me a drink, handsome? :))

  • @Tomken8d2 Gender identity is not wholly a social construction. I doubt a genderqueer person could chose to cling to a single, set gender identity. Likewise, those of us with a set gender identity and/or sexual orientation cannot chose to change, either.

  • @fileboy2002

    That's NOW, today.

Chimps are naturally "genderqueer" and totally bisexual.

Perhaps before civilization our distant ancestors were

    more like that.

I'll compromise; Gender may not be wholly imposed by society

but it is largely imposed by society.

I find when I play my "Britney" character I BECOME Britney.

I've done all the "macho" crap in my life.

I have nothing left to prove so now I can relax.

  • @Tomken8d2 I agree gender is largely a social construction. However, I don't find it pausible our distant ancestors were "totally bisexual." No one knows for sure, but it seems more likely they exhibited the same range of sexuality we see today--i.e. the great majority hetereosexual, a minority homosexual or bisexual, and all capable of shfiting to some degree under certain circumstances.

  • @fileboy2002 Our closest living primate cousins are completely bisexual. They don't build cities or go to work in factories and office buildings. There's really no way to know how people were 50,000 years ago. I just feel that they were free, like our Chimpanzee cousins. Genitalia give us pleasure. If we had no social taboos or definitions of "gender roles" we'd all be a lot happier. Pass me a banana...? :)
  • @Tomken8d2 Actually, we know quite a bit about how people lived 50,000 years ago. We know, for example, that they typically lived to about age 30, and often died of tooth decay. Not the kind of "freedom" I'd want. What their sexuality was like is much harder to say. But I agree we'd be better off without so many taboos and rigid gender roles.

  • @fileboy2002 True, they lived like the animals. They liklely had herbs and "cures," some of which may have actually helped but life was short, brutal and hard Notice it's always the guys, and to a lesser extent, the girls, who are insecure in their OWN sexuality who cry, "faggot" and "dyke" the loudest? Like the 19 yo male who beats up a "fag" to prove his own "manhood" then goes home to masturbate while wearing his sister's underwear. That's actually another form of gender dysphoria

At least i know i have a back up man if i forget my lines. I dont know your name, but i ge your story. Call me what you will, but my adopted name is Taren.

  • I am gender queer. I don't feel so alone anymore. :)

  • You are awesome, so beautiful/handsome inside and out. If you get hassled by anyone just try to remember they're not as evolved as you are. You have the gift of two genders within, and many people can't understand it, You're the future, ahead of your time. Your self-awareness and grace are a gift to everyone.

  • JUST WONDERFUL. Thank you...

  • i am male but i am like you; we are blessed to embody both masculine and feminine at the same time :)

  • Good luck with the transition. I hope you find what you're looking for. that takes a lot of courage, and I applaud you for it I wish I was as strong as you. That also was a great speech. ♥

  • P: ur just experimenting? o___o ima gender queer :P

  • good luck. i want to cut my hair....tips?! dont know when/where to start.

  • @TheKawaiiMew I LOVE Adam, he's so fucking adorable.

  • @raiinbowjunkiie

    I SECOND THAT MOTION.

  • awesomeeeeee!!!! :)

  • wow what a powerful speech. I'm proud of you for unlocking your courage to show who you really are, and what better way to do it than for those 6 LGBT people who didn't make it. Good luck with your experiment and I hope it helps you even more with being yourself. In Star Wars, the Jedi would say that the Force is strong with you. Keep it cool and enjoy it my friend :D

  • @Countach640 Oh wow, I am thrilled with the outpouring of support here! Thank you thank you!!! =)

  • lol you hate open option science? I heard about the guy in the US who jumped off a bridge too because some retarded 18yos decided to violate his privacy. But unfortunately i dont think the perpetrators are going to be penalized harshly. Its a sad story for LGBT community but perhaps this will spur some awareness about the sufferings of LGBT in todays society. Im straight but im all for LGBT. Anyways i hope youre having a great time at college. =]

  • @idontgiveashit0930 OMG it's been so long, I need to message you ASAP.

  • I can't say I can relate to the mindset and feeling but you definitely put it in perspective and helped me further understand the 'why'. No one deserves to be bullied and pushed to suicide for things they cannot change. I wish you best of luck.

  • @Nightstight Many many thanks to everyone on this page..=)

  • I really hope everything goes well for you. I loved your speech. I only wish I had your courage. Good luck!

  • @Nicaboli7 Thank you so much, I hope that one day you too will reach that level of comfort and be able to give yourself everything that you deserve.

  • you have my support :) Good luck , much love dude :)

  • @whbjoe Thank you!!! =)
