I can't hear any sound on this video, nor on the previous days' videos. Please can anybody help?

Perhaps the volume on your computer is turned down very low or off? I played the video and heard the sound fine.

Thanks so much for replying... this time (for once) I had actually checked the most basic thing first, i.e. the volume settings on my computer! :-) I can hear the videos off Ven Chodron's website, and other videos on Youtube, with no problem. It is just these BBC ones in particular which aren't working for me. If I turn both the Youtube and my computer volumes up to max, I can hear her ever so faintly, and very muffled, as though she is speaking several rooms away. I can't make out the words.

BBC ones? Check to make sure the YouTube volume on the video pane (lower right of it, speaker icon) is adjusted. This could also differ per YouTube video or channel you are watching from your system's video. And it may even inadvertently be muted, which happens.
