That is the strangest thing I have ever heard of. Granted I don't know boo about flying in India, but wouldn't you think the pilot of the chopper would HAVE HAD to be under the control of the tower?? Whomever the pilot was on this flight, I hope President Patil - at the very least - relieved him of duty.
why would the IAF helicopter land on the runway? wouldnt they land on an apron or tarmac close to the terminal? and if the airport knew that the president was arriving wouldnt they halt operations for a short while due to security measures and an incident such as this video showed?
Why did the helicopter land on the runway? Dont they have helipads?
