  • I held out my hand and did this myself, it is the first time I have ever been into a trance and I was very relaxed after I was out of it.

  • "This is the chair you're GOING to go into a trance in"

Influencing him before the subject is even aware you've began. You've already told him what will happen, he would be expecting something to happen in front of a crowd of people. The subject is willing it himself, like an open book laid out. All you have to do is detract the subject from reality slightly and they will follow approvingly, the rest is history.

  • A really nice induction Jamie!

  • Tbaldwin1971-there is a huuuge difference between a trance and a "light sleep". The point being that after you have induced a trance state of this kind you can then give suggestions to the person's unconscious and help them with an issue they have got like wanting to stop smoking . It isn't rocket science but very few people use language as effectively as they could and its great people like Jamie make it more accessible.

  • So what we witnessed here is a bloke going into a light sleep? The point being?

If you hold your hand out and relax enough..of course your hand will go down. Come on folks its not rocket science is it ;o)

  • bah i might be just drunk and tired but i totally drifed off during this.

  • i find his voice so relaxing

i was almost in a trance myself.

wow, that guy is lucky! i want someone to do that to me!

  • dude its so weird i almost fell asleep its so cool you need to try it :P

  • He says i didnt invite to look at HIS thumb , well im sorry bro but you did! LOL :) good video anyways dont matter

  • he didn't, he really said THAT thumb :d

  • wow this is amazing, I totally drifted down, and my hand just kept going down, I knew I didn't want it to go down, but it just kept goind, and at one point, my cell phone started ringing, and that woke me from that state, and when I answered the phone my friend said I sounded like I've just woken up!

  • no rlly if u try it and like just do it like he's talking to you its kinda like ur and is being pulled down and if you try a little to keep it in place it just keeps going down....weird

  • yeah scary shit. Worked on me :P

  • because it takes alot of muscle to keep it still

its a natural motion of muscle vs gravity

  • When the subject is in this type of trance could you give them suggestions like, when you wake up, the number three will no longer exist?

  • i believe so

  • maybe the thmb going down, and the movements is just gravity.

  • Very informative thanks

  • It's also a use of ambiguous language. We prefer to use unconscious instead of subconscious because then we can say something that sounds like "you're unconscious"

    :)

  • Two different things. Un-concious mind actually involves a certain lack of conciousness, unlike subconcious.

  • Fantastic demonstration - I wish the clip had been long enough to hear AJ's comments. Jamie - you are the best!

  • i have a question..if i were to put on headphones and listen to your directions as you give it to this kid, would i be put into a trance?

  • There is something called autohypnosis. But it would be highly improbable for you to be hypnotized with one of these videos on youtube, since the voice is a very important factor and every person reacts differnt.

  • Yea, rapport is a major factor in hypnosis. Rate of breath is matched, and then used to bring the subject down deeper in many instances. Also, the practioner will look for any subtle cues from you (twitching muscles etc) to see what stage you are at, and then arrange their induction to match that change.

  • excellent

  • nice and controlled well done

  • AMAZING!!

  • your voice is soo smoothing =)

  • Very nice demonstration!

  • Jamie does it again! I love your style! When are you going to release them on video?

  • Way cool, Jamie. How do you do that?

  • Very interesting,is it possible to put a relation into a trance,or would it be percieved as a bit of a laugh them nowing your backround

  • If a relative really wanted to experience trance it would not matter. Anyone who can follow instructions be it relative, friend or stranger can enjoy hypnosis.

  • As always, Jamie clearly demonstrates some excellent hypnosis tools. Thanks for sharing these.

  • cool
