@lillolly725 the middle is done seperate......then you add the royal blue on again and dont cut just keep going around alternating colors does that make sense..... Chanel @ mikeys helpdesk.... :)
@lazychickiffy yes you cut the first color and tie it off.....then start the next color....mikey doesnt cut for demos sometimes!!!! chanel@mikeys helpdesk..... :)
I have watch loads of videos on this and yours is the only one I could understand! Thanks so much. I am sitting with my first granny square! I have no idea what to do next but I assume there's another video somewhere, so i will search! Thanks!

I have been trying to figure these out for a while. Got it down in one night! Your videos are easy to follow and you go slow enough (but not too slow) so that beginners can keep up!
you are the best instructor. i have been trying to learn granny squares and you were the only one i could follow and now i have a beautiful blanket. however, i would like to edge it with a nice ruffle, of wave finish. can you tell us how.
Hi, i love your video and i am going to try making the blanket today..Have bought around 9 colors to make a multicolor blanket ,but i'm not sure how to cut the hanging treads or do i have to tie it ...if i cut it would the whole thing come off...please advice...
Mikey I am so in love with your videos!!! You are wayyyy better than the others teaching crocheting, I wont watch anybody else, I just love the way you break everything down for beginners and my kids think you are hilarious!!!
WONDERFUL!!! Your such a great teacher and your voice is very soothing and relaxing to listen to as i follow along with you. Your def above all the rest !!!!! Love you, keep up the videos, cant wait to see what you do next
Thanks for letting my subscriber view your method of finishing a granny square until I got my final videos finished. It's been more than a year & a half, but my videos are finally done! I also have a video on drawing in the tails.
I have watched other "granny square" videos on YT and have been very frustrated!!! These videos are the only ones I've been able to comprehensively follow along with and I have 3 granny squares in front of me! You have no idea how excited I am! I have a baby on the way in July and God willing- this blanket will be done by then! HAHAHA! Thank You!!!!!
Hi Mikey- Thanks so much for posting this. I have about a dozen squares all with long tails because I don't know how to knot them off :-(. Is it as simple as just tying a knot? If you can't tell, I've never crochet before and my friends are impressed/surprised I learned through You Tube-thanks to you.
THANK YOU!! I have searched and searched and tried so many times this week then I found your tutorial and I now have a perfect granny square in front of me!!!!
Your instructions are SO clear and easy to follow...xx L
Thanks for this - I've tried at least a dozen websites and this is the first time I've actually managed to get beyond that first circle. Fantatsic instructiona and so clear to see what's going on. Will recommend your videos to any other complete beginners :)
OMG! Thank you so much. I haven't for the life of me been able to make a granny square. I am the type of person who has to see it done. Trying to read the directions to me is foreign. I am so excited. I just made my very first granny square. THANK YOU!
Thank you so much! I have watched at least 40 videos before this and couldnt figure it out! FINALLY I CAN MAKE IT!!! This was so helpful, thank you again.
Wonderful! I haven't been able to make my video on finishing a granny square...yet! I will send my viewers to you until I can get mine made! My only real difference is how many I chain between squares. Like I said in my videos, there is no right or wrong way, just what works for you!!
I found this video amazing! Really easy to learn from.

you went too fast at the most important part!!!!! we can't see how you finish it off.
why do you say "go over 2" instead of "chain 2"?"

you need to slow down if your trying to teach someone how to do the square. When your at your normal speed you tend to come off the camera
