Black metal is now a childish cult of clowns all trying to outdo eachothers` "misanthropy" or "hatefullness" blah blah blah, the point of art is expression and productivity, not nonsense and theatrics. Kvist had made songs with real energies in them, whether it is "black metal" because it is fast and dark and therefore no one must ever hear it would be stupid. Kvist has always been one of the greatest bands... I was really surprised to find that their album isn't re-released. They are great beyond description. Denied was the the earth I walk upon.

For all who won`t know: This album was made to be a "Supergroup"-thing, with members from popular BM Bands. In my opinion, this thing was way better than their bands.

Which bands exactly do you mean? As far as I'm aware, only Trondr Nefas (Urgehal, Vulture Lord) holds some significance in the Black Metal scene outside of Kvist. Hallvard Hagen now plays in Xploding Plastix, but that isn't a Metal band.

Kvist wasn't a supergroup at all, really.

The members had been part of several bands; Dim Nagel, Urd Verdaine og Skuld, Beastcraft, and a handful of others. Mostly they only managed to get demos out. All these guys have been part of several projects from Hønefoss, Norway. The only current project that resulted from these guys is Endezzma, but essentially Kvist and its members disappeared from the scene many years ago.

I'm actually aware of Dim Nagel and Urd Verdaine og Skuld, but just like you said, those didn't get past the demo stage. Thus they aren't bands that would contribute to Kvist being called a supergroup.

Yeah, someone wrote on the net a long time ago that Kvist was supposed to be a "super group of black metal's elite". I don't know if it was simply for the purpose of gaining recognition, or if it was someone who considered all of these musicians to be great up-and-comings in the Honefoss metal underground, heh.

Genial tekst! Synd Kvist ble oppløst etter et album, men da kan man iallefall si at de ga seg på topp. Det som er litt skremmende å tenke på er at de er rundt 14 til 17 år gammel, og likevel musikalske genier!
