OK so he is going to trade directing for producing, Smodcast will become an indie studio financing other people's projects and distributing them. Inundated with pitches and turning 99% of them down for market viability reasons... How is this a new model again?

all I can say is this man is an inspiration to me. it was through him and his words that I ( another fat stoner basterd) achieved something I was told I never would, Having a book published. I fully support this man in everything he does and feel he is exactly what the industry needs.

I just hope that Kevin Smith's intentions are bigger than what it seems. This just seems to be an insecure Director giving the finger to studios because he cannot take the criticism and the possibility of his movie not being able to make money. If he starts a movement that will eventually help indie film makers to break in Hollywood without going through the red tape then I fully support Kevin Smith. Talk is cheap.

@lordofultima nah, its not so much the fact that its in there. its HOW its said. there is just a different sound when you hear it dropped naturally, every time he says it it sounds like he is thinking about saying it rather than just saying it.
