As for STDs, that is debatable. One would hope that in this day and age people would practice safe sex. But if the foreskin predisposes men to STDs then surely Europe and the UK should have very high rates of STDs as compared with a circumcising country such as the USA. This is not the case. In fact, the genital health of Europeans is better than that of Americans.

@Edward9991 Well if wiki says it then it must be true. More probably, though, wiki is referring to the amount of skin cut from a BABY. When the baby grows into a man the foreskin increases in size along with the rest of the penis. Also, the foreskin is double-layered. I can tell you as an intact man that my foreskin would be larger than 2-4 square inches, and my dick isn't even that big!

Maybe you could do a video with a Pro-Circ Parent, maybe a mother, talking about how it is HER baby and HER decision; that it's a family tradition and if she were a boy she would want to be circumcised. How she thinks intact penises are unattractive and wants her baby's penis to look sexy. The adult male's foreskin is 15 square inches in area, it has 20,000 fine touch nerve endings, it provides protection for the glans, it keeps the glans moist which makes them more sensitive, it keeps friction to a minimum, and when having vaginal sex it helps keep lube in so it is more than just a piece of skin. Smegma is easier to clean away than brushing your teeth just retract the foreskin wash it away and if need be apply soap and your done.

See the YouTube video, The Foreskin 15 Square Inches of Erogenous Tissue. On a baby this is less (of course) but it grows as the rest of the penis does. The foreskin of a man or woman is a unique structure containing Meissner's corpuscles, specific touch sensitive receptors.

There are proven effective ways of protecting yourself against STD's. Circumcision is not one of them.

Babies don't have rights and I say how about we abolish abortions before we go into something that doesn't need to be neccesarily stopped. I haven't heard anybody that was circumcised say "I wish I wasn't" because we don't see the problem, but you don't see ones who weren't saying "I wish I was Circumcised". Glad you laughed but you've missed the point. Just because you haven't heard of something (circumcised people opposed to genital mutilating surgery) doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I am cut and VERY OPPOSED to reduction surgery on the genitals of children! So are an increasing number of very informed people, cut and intact.

Human rights are not dependent on a sliding scale of worth.

If one is circumcised that means one is missing part of their natural genitals. In the case of male circumcision that means the most sexually sensate skin has been surgically removed (amputated) usually without consent, or when done to adults often backed by social coercion.

Those of us who are cut usually don't realize the harm of such unwarranted surgery because of the age at which it was done, we think our life long experience with surgically reduced genitals is "normal."
