@mcard1d Actually a rather intriguing question; not sure how Kraken would fare against a modern steel warship.  If Daring detected it with sonar, the destroyer might win with depth charges. If Kraken came straight up and bear-hugged Daring, the ship's low profile and relatively thin hull would probably be her downfall. I would call this as one of those "it depends" situations, vis-a-vis who gets the drop on who.

@Wertologist you see, an octopus and a crab are bitter enemies, he has parts of both, showing that he has conflict in his life that is a battle. with the betrayal of calypso, his heart belongs to the sea and to calypso, but when she left him he broke down. he has a battle in his heart of whether or not calypso is the women (or 100 foot tall goddess) he loves or not, thus this internal battle inside himself gave him the features of an octopus and a crab to symbolize the conflict in his life
