I have 12 strings but only 6 saddles. Rickenbacher has it right in the 330, ect. but on a Gibson, forget it! especaily when I have to capo the 7th fret. For Hotel California.
The issue I have is, that the run of the mill standard capo will not fret the high octave strings on the lower end strings of the guitar. that is, the main low E string frets properly, but the octave E (it's partner, little string) won't fret properly, and deads out. I had to use tape on the capo at certian intervals for the string to reach the frets on the lower end. Oh one more whine! I'm not happy with the intonating capabilities of a bridge on 12 string.
I wish I could play a twelve string guitar,I can't even afford one not to menchin lessons I'm only nine and I could never ask my parents they can't buy a 1,000 dollar guitar or get me expensive lessons the video showed me that it's super duper hard that guy is soooooooooooooooo good
hey there are good 12 strings guitars that are much under the 1000 dollars! My Cort in Italy was bought for 320 euros, and it sounds really good, and it's also pre-amplified!
If you can play a 6 string you can play a twelve string. It may take like 20 minutes to get used to it but it's the same playing. It isnt like playing a new instrument. Just like playing a new guitar. And look on craigslist. You can get a good one for about $200
your an idiot pal, right from the start of that vidio.don't you know what your doing or saying???? hellow!!!!!!.check it out and listen to it lol, lol, lol, lol, lol, lool.
8 of the 12 strings on 12-string guitars are tuned an octave apart, while the first four (the b and e strings) are tuned in unison, i.e., to same exact pitch. Chords sound bigger/fuller. You still tune to the same notes as you would a six-string, but on strings 12, 10, 8, and 6 (which are considerably thinner strings), you tune them an octave higher. Some people tune down all the strings by half a step, to relieve themselves (and the neck) of some of the extra tension.
lol i have that capo lol i actually bought 2 lol 1 for my m8 cost me £28 for them both i advise getting a trigger one they are much better than the ratchet ones or the normal one with the plastic tightener thingy u no what i mean

What a waste of time this video was. You can place the capo the same way on a 6 string guitar and a guitar with no strings.............

can you put a six string capo on a twelve string
fiendwithaface13 2 years ago
If it fits. I.e., (covers all the string's)
The twelve string neck is wider than a 6 string. They do make capo's for twelve string guitar's.
