good job on the vids. If you right click the top left hand icon in the corner of your window and select "on top" then you can put your windows wherever you want and they will not dissapear on you when you click another window.
Thanks for the complement. I was really excited about your comment when I read it. Unfortunately, I have tried clicking like that on Logix500, 5, and 5000 and do not get an "on top" menu option so I guess I can't recommend it. Maybe you are on a different version or software.
Mr. White, I am still confuse about unload bit. What does it mean? Does it mean that the ladder is true? Thank you for posting this Video. I am looking forward to buy some video from automation technology.
Sorry, I did not really cover all the bits well. The enable bit (EN) is the bit that is set when the rung is true. The (DN) bit is set when the instruction has completed its shift.
Think of the unload bit as an extra bit to the left or right of your bit array. So if you are shifting to the right the unload bit acts like a bit to the right of your bit array.
If the far right most bit in your bit array is a 1 before you shift, then the unload bit will be a 1 after you shift - the 1 is shifted into the unload bit. If your right most bit is a 0 before you shift, then the unload bit will be a 0 after you shift. If you are shifting left, then you look at your far left most bit and that bit will be shifted into the unload bit. Let me know if this helps (Sorry Youtube makes me do this in sections too).
very interesting video and educational.
