this is what happens when you think your Aphex Twin but your not. i like it but it coulda have just a bit more variation, in a shorter time frame, cause this shits too lame to listen to for almost 9 mins.
well, i watched about the first 3 minutes of this, and couldn't take it. the song might be a little more spontaneous later on in the track but jeez... repetitivity(repetitiviness?)
also the video... come on, avocados and half-eaten apples? what does that even mean? i don't see the symbolism in that.
i don't listen to three minute pop songs. i'm just saying that that song wasn't going anywhere in my mind. it was extremely repetitive, and i didn't really enjoy it. maybe i could let take me if i was on some shrooms...
You may not listen to three minute pop songs, but your brain seems to be certainly trained like anybody else in our generation who doesn't have a fucking attention span that can amass for more than a few minutes of music with typical chord progressions and catchy hooks. It doesn't need drugs to appreciate, just an open mind. These songs are more about creating an aural listening experience then appeasing to some quick gratification of a catchy melody. Don't be so damn ignorant.
see, the problem is that youre making assumptions of me that are not true. yet again, i dont listen to "popular music" that has typical chord progressions and catchy hooks. i actually am angered that crappy music is being produced today(fall out boy, jonas brothers, etc), and that youre basically calling me an idiot(talk about being ignorant). i usually love this kind of electronic ambience style of music, but this is extremely repetitive, and i dont like it. everyone can have an opinion, right?
I agree with you. I mainly listen to Tool. I would say they are pretty different and original. I'm not into this crap music, it's all patternized and uninspiring.
Whoa, nice, reminds me of PROEM ... definitely checking them.
To all negative haters comparing this to Stockhausen, wtf is wrong with you? NOONE asked you to compare it, it's either you like it, or don't - don't be a smartass for no apparent reason.
Youtube haters are the worst - dissing something just because they think they are right in their feeble little minds.
That's really cool. Relaxing but tension breaking in the head. Not only for mushroom-lovers! Someone posted that its a Polish Coil. Not quite really - its Tacuara Nod! The genre for themselves.
Ok, first of all, I've been a huge Zappa fan for a couple a years now. Just started listening to Eric Dolphy, as one of his insperations, but I would love to get deep with Legeti, Cage and especially Stockhausen. Any help on how and where to start?
wow, thanks a lot - looking foward to some hardcore listening - also, I can always recommend "Burnt Weeny Sandwich" and, yeah, if it's about electronic music - get some stuff by AUTECHRE, BOARDS OF CANADA, MOUSE ON MARS, MATMOS, OPIATE, OVAL! And, once again - thanks a lot!
I recommend Stockhausen's Klavierstuck X. There's a friendly website maintained by the former pianist of the Ensemble Intercontemporain that explains the music in detail.
Hi, i'd suggest you to get back where it all started. Try Anton Webern's Symph. Opera 21: serial music where tunes, pitches and tempos are organized in series. Try also Pierre Schaeffer Etudes aux chemin de Fer (first looping tapes ever - 1940's!!). I also suggest you amazing contemporary: Kurtàg. Try Jàtèkok .
This is in my video log,so when someone visits my youtube channel they will see this. I suggest any other visitors to this video do the same, this group needs more exposure. cheers!
I'm glad i took a break from my pornathon to have my ears wanked by your wonderful musics. It's far better (and less painful) than porn ;- from now, i will masterbate furiously to yr sounds and your images (...where do you live, by the way? Can I come round?).

Much richer in textures than Aphex Twin. And remember: everything is pop, and pop is love; hence, Tacuara Nod is love.

I wouldn't agree this is richer in textures than Aphex.

This isn't really repetitive, there's variations in the beat and such, it's not like their playing the same thing over and over again.

Look, if you're going to rip-off Wolf Eyes, do it right, and try making it more than repetition of a beat over ambience for nine minutes.

This kind of music is not about instant gratification and 3-minute pop songs. You have to let it take you.

No offense, this music is crap exprimental music when compared to real masters: Legeti, Cage, Stockhausen, ect. It's too tonal.

Stockhausen: search for "Helicopter Quartet". Youtube has a large amount of these composers, more than you would expect.
Cage: "Sonatas and Interludes for Prepared Piano". You can find a couple here.
Legeti: Also, just search his name. He has so many works, they's nowhere you could go wrong.
Zappa also listened to Webern, an out-of-this-world composer with the Second Vineese school. Definitally check him out!
