  • NICE WORK

  • "This video is a demonstration and not intended to provide you music of a certain quality ;-)"

HARDLY! I ENJOYED THIS IMMENSELY! BEAUTIFUL SEQUENCE!

  • Hey,

can you change first/last step for all 3 rows simultaneously with the launchpad? (cause if you use the MAQ buttons, you have to do it for one row at a time).

  • @csmcrckrs Well, if you put 3 MIDI messages under one pad, it's possible.

  • what do u think, isit possible to use launchpad instead of midi keyboard for Doepfer Dark Energy?

  • @qishmish Yes, I think it is possible. But you need to use a program like MIDI-OX to translate the MIDI messages from the Launchpad to MIDI notes.

  • @attorks

so computer with midi-out is needed..ahh my comp produce noise )) ok, thx.

also nice videos you have there! and ur research with midi things are great ;)

  • this is an excellent way of controlling the sta and end points o the note rows...MAQ.... they are so tangarine dream cerca 70s chris frank and froese.. enjoy heaing them.. might get a launch pad myself to control my MAQ after seeing this.. the buttons pages on the maq are to slow

  • Seriously cool!

  • This was great. Clever use of gear with beautiful sonic results. Seems like it's much more fun to control MAQ this way.

  • I wished I'd only have 5% of your abilities with all this midi crap. Love your work

  • Erg leerzaam!

  • Great work as always! Bravo

  • diet ist regtig wonderlik

  • There always seems to be a work around with Live.

The thing that bugs me most about Automap + Launchpad is the inability to select the LED color of the buttons! Grrrrr.....

  • Hey, great video!

Just wanted to mention that there is a workaround for sending Program Changes with the launchpad. Just set up midi clips in Ableton Live so they fire off program changes (it's fairly easy to do)....once you've got clips set up for all your required program changes, hit Ctrl+M to go into Midi map mode and use the CCs that you've designated on your launchpad through Automap as the trigger for those program change clips.

  • Thank you for this workaround. I will surely look into it.

  • @audibleobsession

Yeah, I figured out how to do this by watching the Novation Drum Racks tutorial. Awesome stuff.

  • I see that only 1 Program Change can be specified and I need to program 2 Progran Changes under a button. Any ideas?

  • 4) Hit Ctrl+M and click on one clip.

    5) Hit one of your Launchpad buttons while it's in Automap to assign that CC#.

    6) Repeat 4 and 5 for the other program change clip and select the same button on your launchpad.

It's a great way to use the launchpad.

  • @ attorks....I had shot a quick video to show one method, but I guess it didn't upload right!

You could do it like this:

    1) Create two Midi lanes in Ableton Live.

    2) Create one clip in each lane and set the required program changes on each clip.

    3) Configure your midi outputs for each so their going where they need to go (and on the required channel).

  • This makes me buy a LaunchPad for my MAQ16/3! Thanks for the inspiration!

  • Wow, launcpad fully working or not that is a beautiful sequence.

  • I think it would be impossible for you Martin, to create something with a sequencer that I didn't LOVE! :-)

I think your 'demo' is more musically enjoyable than a lot of peoples 'finished' works!

  • excellent as always

  • Very nice

  • Hi Martin,this is a fanthastic Sequence...5*****
