Cool video, but why would you buy a car that nice then drive it through mud. I like off-roading as much as the next guy, but if I'm going i'm going off-roading, then I want a cheap car that has 4 wheel drive and not an expensive car. If I'm correct, then he said the car cost $90,000.

I agree. As this video shows, it's built for OFF-ROAD. Even so, why does it have to be so friggin' expensive? The Land Rover Defender could go through that 'mud bog' at 20mph...

Most of these vehicles I see are owned by either the rich or working class (who lease it for two years until they can no longer afford it). Again, even so, these guys want it in pristine and polished condition. If I wanted status, I'd buy a Lexus or a Lincoln.

The Irony is most Range rovers never leave the tarmac, i dont have one but there are Six in my street and the owners seem more interested in polishing their cars than taking them of the road, none of them ever show signs of dirt, let alone the odd bird shit, I think they are more of a statement of Wealth and Eliteism in my neighbourhood, which is in the Suburbs.

anybody who has ever owned a range rover, and not the sport one, the proper one will tell you how amazing they are. my family has always had land rovers now were on our second range rover and we will probably never sell it. the supercharger isnt necessary. here in europe most get either the HSE with the 3.0 v6 turbo or the Vouge SE with the 4.2 v8 naturally aspirated. its more common in the US because they feel like they NEED the extra power of the supercharger but you dont really.

For the people who thing Land rovers are all that, i agree with you they are nice vehicles and great off road. Thing is tho they really tend to go down hill fast once you take them off road a few times. Not to mention the things to worry about when going off road in a 90k suv. I do love some of the comments from our American friends :). Please remember this is a premium quality vehicle, comparable with top of the range BMW's and Mercedes (cant think of a US vehicle of this quality) full of luxury, and on standard road tyres...not fancy Mud Terrains etc, but standard road tyres, as if if has just come from the school run. Saying " A Jeep Cherokee" can do this is invalid...I am sure it can, but not with such grace and prowess. ;)
